We got here at 7pm and had a reservation. We ordered 2 deluxe rolls and 2 regular rolls after telling the waitress I was gluten free.. My husband's came out at 7:50, and 1 of mine. Apparently the other had been made with a gluten sauce and was being re-made. My sweet potato roll was actually a TEMPURA sp roll, but that wasn't listed as such on the menu, nor did the waitress tell me when I ordered. I told the waitress I couldn't eat it and she looked incredibly annoyed. I also had to request gluten free soy sauce even after telling her I was GF. I do not trust this place and will not be eating here again. After waiting for 50 mins I was served food I could not eat. No one came to speak to us- manager, chef, no one. Not impressed at all. Will never return.

Love this place! They always make my meal first before any other food touches the blacktop. They always keep my food very separate from the other soy sauce and sauces that contain gluten and are nice about it! Food is always yummy.

I’ve eaten here for years, but this was the first time since becoming GF. I ordered hibachi shrimp. The waitress told me the salad (dressing) and soup that comes with it are not GF; so I pass on those. She pointed out the pot of soy sauce at the table is GF. When the chef arrived, he cooked my food first while starting the fried rice; my rice was prepared separately, and I received a double portion since I can’t have the noodles, which didn’t touch the cooktop until my food was removed. My food was different than I’d had before, but was still delicious. The rice and veggies were less “soy forward”, lighter taste-wise, which I enjoyed. I thought it was handled well, though it would be nice if they added a gf salad dressing in the future. I am gluten sensitive, not celiac, so my experience might be different than others.

Very accommodating for me being gluten free, they even give me gluten free soy sauce and make sure my rolls are always gf.

I’ve eaten here a handful of times and have not gotten sick. Always to be cautious to tell both your waitress and the hibachi person that you need gluten free soy sauces. One of the sauces they give you on the side is not gluten free, so they will give you two portions of the sauce that is gluten free. I have had them accidentally been given two of the gluten sauces but knew right away… i would just steer clear of the sauces on the side.

This place was great! During Covid, they took our temp (scanned our hand) before entering the restaurant. They also brought hand sanitizer to the table. We had the steak, scallop, and shrimp hibachi. We spoke to the manager about my gluten allergy. The manager and waiter were both very knowledgeable about accommodations. These are the modifications: gluten-free soy sauce, only rice (no noodles), no miso soup, and no soy dipping sauce. They made my dish first with clean utensils so there was no cross-contamination. The food was amazing, service fantastic, and I didn’t get sick! We will definitely be back.

Fugiama is delicious and gluten free, it is clean and they have lots of gluten free options on thing that you wouldn’t expect to be gluten free. Also great for kids😄They don’t have a kids menu, but have kid sized portions.

I've gotten takeout here a few times. They are always diligent and careful to ensure my selections are GF, and have sometimes recast dishes in order to make them GF. And the food is delicious!

Once I told our server about my gluten allergy , the chef came out to discuss how the food would be prepared. The have gluten free soy sauce and would cook my meal first on the hibachi. The meal was delicious and I felt comfortable with how the dealt with the situation. I got extra fried rice since I couldn't have the noodles. Also the dipping sauces were not gluten free, so they offered gf soy sauce with minced garlic. I would highly recommend this restaurant !
