pretty limited options for gluten free. all meats/fish cooked on the same grill (i have a fish allergy) so my meal was a bowl of rice and beans. Quality of food itself for gf and non gf was pretty poor. Waiter also gave us unwashed utensils and said “oh ok” when we alerted her. i’d look elsewhere. Update: someone in my party who was not GF was food poisoned.

No gluten free menu but the waiter was very knowledgeable and if there was any questions for concern, he would ask or avoid all together. Most items are GF or can be made GF. I had the chicken, rice and beans and strawberry mojito! It was very good! The rest of my party enjoyed their meals as well. Great atmosphere with options of outdoor seating. *note: it is a shared fryer* plantain chips that come out to table are in a shared fryer as well!

Ordered the Vaca Frita (shredded Flank steak), no issues. Staff seemed aware of contamination risk. Delicious food!

Server was aware of potential cross contamination of gluten and other allergens, and provided some safe suggestions and potential substitutions to make dishes safe. Had the Ropa Vieja bowl, which was tasty and caused no issues. Other gluten-eaters in my party were quite happy with their food too.

Staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free items. Food was DELICIOUS! Would definitely come back for another meal! (Our waiter told me that they use the same fryer for their plantains and croquetas)

I had a great experience. I let the waiter know that I needed Gluten Free and that I was Celiac. I said I was thinking about the chicken based on passed reviews, but he said, “Why don’t you have something more interesting?” He suggested the Garlic Butter Shrimp with sweet plantain and rice. It was delicious! Absolutely no problems. I also got a Passion Fruit Mojito, it was very good!

Ordered grilled chicken with rice and beans. Not much more options than that. Waitress didn’t know what gluten free was.

I had a great brunch of Ropa Vieja, eggs, and potatoes. All delicious Cuban style. The ingredients are safe based on personal knowledge but I got some cross contamination with the potatoes. I attribute that to a grill that with non-GF ingredients. If you have a mild to moderate allergy you should be okay (but not great) with the brunch menu if you’re knowledgeable about the dishes and ingredients. I would stick to proteins and fruit if celiac but you may be rolling the dice a bit. I’m guessing dinner is tough because the kitchen is busy and less care is taken.
Food was only ok. Everything that sounded good on the menu had gluten. Only a few options to choose from. Only ate here so my fiancé could have a Cuban sandwich. Would not go back again. Did not have a reaction. Staff was pretty knowledgeable.

My daughter ate rice and beans and a salad at this establishment. I was a bit unsure based on the staff knowledge and reviews above. I was assured that the black beans were not made in any sauce other than the basics. She was fine, no contamination or illness:)
Various GF options, and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. It felt like not being celiac (for a change).

Staff wasn’t aware of what a gluten allergy was. Ate what suggested after waiting over an hour for our food only to have a terrible reaction. I am not sensitive at all, can’t imagine what sensitive people would have experienced. 0/10

Staff was very knowledgeable, could tell my all of the options. There were a few options. Food tasted good.
Yes
Great food and staff very knowledgeable about Gluten Free. Not cheap but very tasty.
Yes
Staff did not have any idea about gluten. Did not eat here because it did not feel safe.

Went here, but didn't eat as I did not trust them. Food looks delicious, but dangerous for a celiac. Not knowledgeable.

Came based on reviews. Staff didn’t even know what gluten was, then got a waiter that did- but he basically said you could get the base meat (chicken, beef, seafood) but no sauces or fixing. Shared grill. Very ignorant to gluten allergy kitchen staff. Got a drink (sangaria is yummy), then left without eating because of contamination. Didn’t want to ruin my vacation.

Be aware that cross contamination is a real thing here. The food was acceptable, tasty even, but I had a reaction. I didn’t eat any of the friend plantains, but even with chicken, rice, and beans, had a reaction. The atmosphere is great and the live music was a wonderful addition t the experience. That said, use caution if you decide this is the place for you while on South Beach.

Food was good, had the grilled chicken. The waitress was nice and knowledgable. Not a huge selection. Did not get ill

Plenty of options just have to ask or use your knowledge
I love the food from all of Latin America and this restaurant did not disappoint. They were well aware of how to prevent cross contamination and I was able to choose from so many different meals and drinks. Will be back!

Staff seemed knowledgeable and confirmed with the chef at our request, just to be sure. Food was good.
Yes
Nice place to have brunch. Staff is knowledgeable, but not clear about cross contamination.
They were very knowledgeable and the staff was extremely nice ! Read the previous review and was worried about eating here, just to find out they were wrong. The food is very good, very fresh, and an amazing atmosphere. I didn't get sick whatsoever. I highly recommend this place !!
very disappointed. 3 things on the menu are GF. Flank steak, White Fish, and grilled Chicken. Host and waitress were challenged answer GF questions. mojito was good though.

The food was delicious however, you have to know which items to order and which sauces to ask about because the waiter did not understand the gluten free request. I didn't get glutened but research the sauces beforehand.
They say most things are gluten free, after eating there and ordering special gluten free items I got glutened. I wouldn't recommend this as gluten free. Most likely it was cross contamination.
Best meal of the trip. Very knowledgable waitress and most of the food is naturally gluten free.

This place does not accommodate.
I would pass it by this place is a total tourist trap. The wait staff was friendly kind of understood what we were looking for. There are not a lot of items on the menu that are safe. they use flour in all the sauces and everything that is fried is off limits. To be safe I stuck with a salad which was mediocre. My girlfriend had pork entree which was good and she didn't get sick although she's much less sensitive than I am.
No
The food was excellent, but the waitstaff had no idea what gluten was, and the manager told me that although there wasn't a separate GF menu, I could see for myself that there were lots of GF options. Unsurprisingly, I didn't feel so great later. Sadly.
Exceptional food. Great service and atmosphere. My waitress seemed very good and knowledgable with gluten free and dairy free.
Best way to top off a Foodies' vacation!!! Food was AMAZING! Service and price was best we had in Miami! Recommend to everyone, GF or not!
My server didn't know about gluten allergies but she asked in the kitchen and said she got "an education." The appetizers were ruled out but most of the main dishes were fine. I felt a little glutened the next morning, but I'm not sure the restaurant was to blame. Even if it was, the circumstances were rather extraordinary — it began pouring rain in the middle of service and all we were able to save from our outdoor table was our half pitcher of sangria (which our server generously refilled while we waited). We stood in the door of the restaurant for a half hour waiting for the rain to stop. So if there was some confusion in the kitchen about my order and cross contamination occurred, I'm willing to forgive them. The food was very tasty.
Food was super yummy. My waitress wasn't familiar with gluten free options BUT did help me find the best items to eat.
Fabulous! Our server didn't show me what I could have, he showed me what I couldn't which was only a handful of things. Do you enjoy good food and many options? This is divine!
A few gluten free options, staff was friendly and knowledgable
Great options for both, with or without gluten. Knowledgeable staff.
