Our regular Chinese place. They can make most things gluten free by substituting the regular soy sauce with tamari. We don't have anyone in the house with severe reactions to gluten, but as far as I can recall we've never had any reactions at all, and we've ordered from Hot Wok dozens and dozens of times.
Food is pretty good, standard American Chinese. Prices are reasonable, and quality is better than the price might suggest.

I've gotten food here and at their restaurant in Burlingame. Each time I emphasized my gluten allergy and stressed the importance of not being able to consume it. Depending on who is taking your order/cooking determines whether you will be glutened. I specifically ask my rice not to be made with soy sauce but it ended up being made with it (I think it was made in the same pan that had previously cooked something with soy sauce, it had a soy sauce taste that my non celiac family was able to taste), the Mongolian beef was made with gluten filled soy sauce etc. I wanted to love this place because I've be a loyal customer for years. But after this last time I will not be returning.

Delicious and safe gluten free options. Would highly recommend! I have eaten here dozens of times without getting sick.

Took a chance on this place due to the reviews but got super sick. The waiter was knowledgeable but the kitchen staff might not be as familiar with gluten and cross contamination. The food was delicious but I won’t be back :(

Edit: They glutened me so bad. Do not recommend. I had a good experience the first time, but the second I tried something else marked gluten free. It wasn’t even good and then I spent the rest of the night puking and even had to go to urgent care.
They were so nice! They use tamari, you just have to ask, they only use corn starch instead of flour so I trust their fryer. The only non gluten free items are the potstickers and the chow mein and a few similar items, but otherwise basically all gf.

Have eaten here a number of times with no problem. My wife and daughter both have celiac.
Lunch specials generally come with hot and sour soup which is not GF but if they're not busy, they'll whip up some GF egg flower soup as an alternative.
The food is good and the service friendly. The only complaint is that it's too far from home.

In this time of COVID it sometimes makes me nervous to call a new restaurant and place an order (when I can’t look the waitstaff in the eye and communicate about my Celiac!), but I just had to mention the celiac to the woman on the phone and she was immediately able to tell me which dishes were GF and reassure me that they would use tamari instead of soy sauce everywhere. We have ordered many times and I’ve never gotten sick. I’m not usually a huge fan of Chinese food, but this food is very good!

They can pretty much make anything on that menu GF. Very knowledgeable.
Gluten sensitive and I had no problems. So yummy and staff was knowledgeable and helpful.
First off, delicious food. The waitress we had was very knowledgeable and helpful in decision making. Wish I lived closer!
We have eaten here three times recently. They have a very reasonable lunch menu with several items that can be made gluten free. No extra charge for GF which is great. Happy to have found this place. My kids with celiac felt fine after eating here and really enjoyed their meals.
I came here with my parents when we were passing through. I wish they had a Hot Wok Bistro in So Cal where I live. I would be a regular. The service was above and beyond to make sure all the food was adapted to be gluten free. We had hot and sour soup, Kung pao chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The owner was also sweet enough to share a cactus fruit that she had just peeled (& when we arrived she was getting the cactus stickers pulled from her hand- ouch!). Anytime I am in the area, I will definitely have to come back. And the cost was very reasonable for the amount of food we were served.
Delicious food and very conscientious. Most of the menu can be made gluten free; just ask!

Fabulous service and very knowledgeable of ingredients. Good Chinese food and a little restaurant. Will go back when I am in town.

I have not eaten Chinese food at a restaurant in over 5 years. Everyone from the servers to the chef were very knowledgeable about gluten issues. This restaurant actually offers several g-f dishes. I will definitely be going back to try more dishes.
