Eaten here a few times. Haven’t gotten sick.

We’ve been to dinner at Joe’s. In the menu there are only two dedicated gf options but after we asked, our son got the best burger and fries in a long time! Great location at the water, friendly staff.

Have some GF items on menu. They offer GF buns and fries. Had the chicken avocado BLT and it was very tasty and the steak fries were refreshing. Would definitely go back. Would recommend getting reservations in the summer as everyone gathers on the wharf during the summer months

My overall experience here was not great. The waitress initially told us that there were no gluten free items, and then asked the kitchen and came back to correct. She said the tortilla chips were gluten free but later said that the gluten-free dedicated fryer is only used for the french fries so there was cross-contamination there. She also explained that “gluten free pasta is a hard ask for a restaurant” even though many reviews here showed gf mac and cheese and other dishes. The food tasted good and the atmosphere is super nice. I did not get sick, but I did not feel well afterwards.

Had an amazing experience with phenomenal food. The staff was knowledgeable and took great care to ensure our food was safe. They even require that the manager bring out the gluten free food to further reduce the chance of cross-contamination. Dedicated fryer for their fries. Our server Rahshan, who only works Friday because he works for the museum the rest of the week, was beyond great and took really good care of us and was fun to talk to. If you’re in the area on a Friday, I highly recommend requesting him.

I ordered salmon with greens. The salmon was cooked very well and I enjoyed the greens, however the portion size was pretty small and my dinner was $28. The menu does not have a lot of items marked GF but notes that you can talk to your server about what can be modified. I was a little tired on this day so I didn’t feel going through the song and dance and just ordered what was already GF. While the meal tasted good and our server took the GF needs seriously, I don’t think I would come back. I think my entrée was a little overpriced for what I got, our check took a long to come out, and my husband’s non-GF meal was just average for the price.

Menu says most things can be modified to be GF. Asked waitress about an entree my husband was ordering so he could share a bite w/ me, said she’d ask but never returned w/ an answer. Food was delivered cold. Took 20 minutes before the waitress came to see how things were. Disappointing service & food for the price.

This place is totally amazing for gluten free. They have a designated part of the kitchen and a fully gluten free fryer (which we don’t get a lot). The employees were very knowledgeable about celiac and could answer all of my questions and concerns, and felt super safe. I will be returning back asap.

Amazing staff all very educated on celiac and what they needed to do. Answered all of my questions and even had the manger double check everything and bring my food out to me herself. I had the lobster roll and nachos with fries instead of chips by far the best food I have had in Boston 10/10.

Such a treat to have a lobster roll on a soft fresh GF roll! I had mine cold and my husband, hot. Both were delicious. Mine was delivered by the chef and the manager so I felt special and safe. Dedicated fryer. Staff knowledgeable.

We had such a great experience here. This was our first dining experience for lunch since my daughter’s celiac diagnosis and the staff was exceptional. They had the manager personally speak with us to describe how they prepare the meals separately, and he delivered my daughter’s meal. Our waiter was superb and understanding. I felt very comfortable and would absolutely recommend, especially if you’re visiting the aquarium or waterfront area when in Boston

Had the lobster roll and it was good. The gf bun was the best part, I've never had one that tasted so good. The black cherry lemonade was also so good.

What a find! Beautiful seats right on the harbor. We ate outside and the view of the Christopher Columbus garden and the harbor were awesome. GF items market on the menu. Our server was knowledgeable and accommodating! I had a chicken sandwich with French fries. Best GF bun I’ve ever had and they have a separate GF Frier for the fries. Also had black cherry lemonade-yummm
GF items are clearly marked on the menu. Our server was very attentive to our daughter who haS Celiac, and actually made a point to thank us for letting her know. GF bread was offered to start off the meal. Very positive experience!
Yes
Best GF experience in the last two week. Our server was GF intolerant and very knowledgeable. The chef brought out our food and double-checked everything was in order.
Staff was knowledgeable, GF is clearly noted on items on the regular menu. The waitress had the bartender make me a GF sangria with Tito’s. (Which was delicious!) Brought me a GF roll in place of a bread basket. Steak was good. Outdoor dining with a nice view. Overall a great experience.

Great service! Server was knowledgable and helped my 13 year old son with his questions. Manager came over to deliver food. Great experience!

if you have allergies eat with your epipens out here, they do not pay attention to allergies and put up a good show to appear like they do.
Wonder wait staff and great food. I have celiac and they did really good.
Yes
Waitress was very knowledgeable and told me they take GF very seriously. Separate fryer for fries and Gf rolls. Food was great! And one extra layer of importance was once the food came the manager told me Again the fries were gf!
Walked by the server after we placed our order and he was making fun of us and my order. Food was OK, didn't get sick. But I wish I'd been able to just leave once I knew the server didn't take my disease seriously.
No
Extremely accommodating. They will make the French fries in a separate fryer for you, and the gluten free bun is pretty good.
Yes
I always go for the burger with an Udi's GF bun and sweet potato fries (dedicated fryer!!). I've never been disappointed, and neither have my non-GF friends.
Yes
excellent service - great gf options! Really know what they are doing with gf!
Went on a busy Saturday evening with a small group for a friend's birthday. I asked the waitress which items could be made gluten free and let her know that I had celiac and was a vegetarian. She started rattling off items at high speed and I finally asked her if I could just have Mac and cheese using the gluten free pasta. She seemed very confused and asked if I wanted Mac and cheese put ON the pasta... I re-explained and eventually she said yes. She brought bread for the table but no gluten free rolls. My order came out with everyone else's, with another plate on top of mine. There was a small piece of lobster in my dish, but since I couldn't find the waitress, I took it out and ate my meal. I felt sick within a half hour. They may be more diligent about gluten-free food prep during the week, but I'd definitely advise against going here during peak hours; they're clearly too busy to care.
No
I had the house salad (no croutons) and a side of the gluten free Mac and cheese. The waitress noted that I have celiac and double checked with the cook to make sure the Mac and cheese was gluten free. The manager delivered my food to confirm with me that it had been made separately to avoid contamination. The food was delicious.
Yes
Unfortunately I was sick immediately. I don't think they understand Celiac disease. They must change their gloves and watch cross contamination. I could not finish my salad as I felt ill within minutes of eating
No
After explaining to the waitress that we needed gluten free we were assured that what we asked for could be made gluten free. Within minutes of eating, one of our party was vomiting and another was feeling sick. By the time we got back to the hotel, three of us were showing signs of being glutened. The only item we had in common were the gluten free rolls.
Service was good, but the food was tasteless. Gluten free buns were gross. They were mealy, dried out and had a very odd taste to them. The gf rolls are not rolls, but their gf hamburger buns grilled. The French fries were thick, but soggy and completely tasteless. 2 people in our group got sick from the food. My son with a serious gluten problem became ill within minutes of eating.
No
I ordered the GF Mac and Cheese with GF Fries and it was amazing. The fries were thick, warm, and crispy. They werent those skinny little french fries. They had "meat" to them which I loved. The Mac and Cheese was a little heavy on the cheese but I still loved it. Also got a GF roll. It was warm & soft. Great service & a great atmosphere to be in. Definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Yes
If I could give them twice as many stars I would!!! Warm GF rolls to start. Delicious balsamic on the salad. Best GF mac and cheese my non GF boyfriend has ever had (with lobster). The burger and sweet potato fries were glorious. Absolutely coming back!
Worse service than some of their other locations. The food seemed to taste worse as well. These servers didn't seem to know as much about the menu and which items were gf or not.
The salmon was fresh and the spinach and artichoke side was delicious. The assistant manager ensured the dish was safe. The view was relaxing with boats in the harbor and planes taking odd in the distance.
Yes
Blah food. I was pleased that the waitress checked with the chef to see if the sliced prime rib with jus was gf. However, the steak was well done and the jus is not gf. She never mentioned that to me, so it was quite dry. They did put the sandwich on a gf bun for me. She didn't refill water and brought an ice tea after the meal was finished. As others said.its not very timely.
The food was good, but the service was borderline atrocious. Waited 25 minutes for a glass of water.
Bread, fries, pasta smart staff

My friend and I, who are both gluten free, had an excellent lunch experience here! We sat on the deck on a beautiful day! We both ordered different sandwiches on gluten free rolls and gluten free fries. All were fantastic! The server was very friendly and knowledgable, as well. We will definitely be returning!
Our daughter is gf and lactose intolerant as well. The service was great and we were happy with the food. She loved the gf pasta and gf fries. They had lovely looking gf bread, but it had dairy in it, so she had to skip the bread. They were extremely careful with her food intolerances. We recommend this spot!

the service was great and the gluten free meal was even better!
Yes
Terrible experience. Servers and manager was pleasant and cooperative however I bit into a crouton in my salad. Obviously they didn't charge me or the rest of my party for the meal that wasn't worth getting sick over in the first place.
No
The only good thing about this place was their drinks and leaving. I have a gluten allergy and have been dealing with it for over 7 years. So obviously I know my stomach well. I know I can always get a burger with no bun and be fine. So I ordered a regular burger with NO BUN and a baked potato. And the waiter definitely didnt write it down abd i knew there was going to be a problem. The food runner brought out my burger with a bun. ( I didn't even want to risk the so called "gluten free" bun.) long story short, I said I can't eat the bun, the waiter and a manager come over and make a big scene!!! I was so embarrassed because I am not that person to complain about food/the bill. They told me that It was my fault, I should have told them and then walked away. Then the manager brings back my burger with no bun and makes an even bigger scene whe she gives it to me saying "Here you go!! Everything's Gluten Free!!!" Seriously?!? Wtf? Just go away! It was not a fun experience at all...even my husbands food was bland and over cooked. Sigh. It wouldn't have been so bad if they wouldn't have given us awful customer service.....
when i get a chance i eat there excellent place !!!!! pizza burgers fries never got cross contaminated locations Peabody ma. Woburn ma.

Very knowledgeable. Separate fryer for GF. Was clearly aware of cross contamination. Have GF bread but I didn’t try it. Had the Cobb salad. All good. Hostess mentioned how her friend is celiac and goes there all the time. Felt very safe.

We were disappointed. After reading these great reviews, we went here. When asking our waitstaff, who checked with kitchen/manager, they said bread is pressed on the grill, so could have cross contamination for steak and other grilled items. She said salad was safest. While it was good, we were looking forward to the burger.
