Maggiano's

They said it would be cooked separately but I still got sick. Got gf pasta (rigatoni D’s dish w gf penne). Would not recommend for serious allergies. Food was delicious but not worth it.

We had a great experience. The waiter informed the kitchen and even had the chef come to our table (on a very busy night) and he explained lots of options and how to modify some dishes to make it gluten free.

Our waiter (William, I think) was excellent and took great care to explain options and keep my food separate among a large group order. I enjoyed my meal very much and recommend them highly!

Server was kind and willing to double check questions with kitchen, including confirmation of GF pasta prepared in fresh pasta water. Fettuccine Alfredo sauce was GF and served with gf penne (only gf noodle). Fresh non-GF bread was on the table for guests when we were seated. That was a bit hard/tempting for my daughter. Would be nice if they had a gf bread option. She tolerated the meal with no apparent exposure.

Gluten free penne can be substituted in most of the pasta dishes. I always get Rigatoni D. ITS TO DIE FOR!!

Ate at Maggiano’s in the Springhill Mall. We’ve had no problem with Maggiano’s anywhere else, and have always been told that sauces were gluten free with the gf pasta. At this location, we were told every sauce had gluten except for marinara. We were also told that mashed potatoes had gluten. We lost faith that the chef even knew what gluten was and decided against ordering anything for our two celiac children.

Celiac friendly?

No

The only thing better than the staff was the food. They do not have a written GF menu but, as they explained, they are a scratch kitchen and could make most of the many of the items gluten free. They do have GF corn based pasta as a substitution for pasta. The food was great and the staff made us feel that we were in good hands. From the front manager to the chef, they made sure that our food was prepared carefully and without cross contamination.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

Ordered a dish with gluten free pasta (penne), but there was a small piece of spaghetti and piece of fettuccine in the dish as well. Be careful if you are very sensitive!

They have GF pasta. Would have rated higher for bread and a couple of good app options.

yummy GF pasta, eaten here many times with no problems. I have a highly sensitive gluten allergy.

Beautiful Italian restaurant. My server was very kind and knowledgeable about the Gluten Free options. They don’t have a separate menu or any indications of any dishes being GF on the menu so you rely on your server. She suggested I get the GF Taylor Street Baked Ziti and it was delicious! Definitely coming back here when I get the chance.

This restaurant is amazing and the servers are very professional. I had a work meeting here, and my boss asked for the gluten-free menu( I have Celiac) . They had a separate menu, and they cooked everything separate , with no cross contamination. The manager came and talked to me and read the gluten-free menu.. She was very smart and careful. The food was wonderful, and the cream brulee was so yummy. I didn't get sick at all. 🤩

Even if it’s not nessesarily their nitch, These folks get G-Free & Celiac! And rarely are you going to find such care & consideration at such a classy atmosphere Restaraunt as this!

Dress up or casual… we saw the whole spectrum of customers here. Although, dressing up will really make a special night out here. Wonderful old time dinner music hits from the likes of Sinatra filled the low light pleasant & romantic venue. Once advised of our issues, our waitress Sheena (who, by the way, is a 5-Star Rock Star of a Server!) had the Chef at our table side in minutes, advising us on their abilities & limitations. Way more selection than one might anticipate, although less than we had seen at their Orlando location last year.

The gluten free Panne as Alfredo w/Chicken breast added was exquisite in appearance and taste….even as a next day leftover!!!

While I have never gotten sick at Maggianos in the past my pasta has been undercooked, and they do not offer many gluten free options.
