Had such a great experience at the bakery on 14th we can hear the next day - another awesome bagel experience!!

Bought donuts as well - and ate them in the park later on.

Must visit for any Celiac/Gluten sensitive people, the entire restaurant is dedicated GF.

They have a wide selection of fresh baked good to choose from. Our group went here 3 times for breakfast and some evening treats and didn't find anything we didn't like.

The breakfast sandwiches are unique and flavorful with several bagel options daily. The breakfast bagels come out freshly made and packed with flavor. They have a number of sauces (chili, onion, etc) and they are all balanced well by the other ingredients. I don't typically eat meat replacements but was satisfied with the "bacon" and "sausage". The "Billy" bagel with goat cheese is a standout for me.

The glazed brioche donut and the carrot cupcake were phenomenal, especially if you get them early when they are still super soft from being fresh baked.

Unfortunately there is no proper indoor seating but they do have an outdoor patio set-up that is available.

The coffee and chai lattes are good as well.

The service can be a bit slow as they seem to get bogged down with online orders sometimes but they still move things along at an acceptable pace generally.

If you need or want Gluten Free, this place is a must do.

My favourite spot for real New York bagels. I absolutely love their toasted everything bagels, which are no issue at all because this is a dedicated GF facility! Next to their large selection of cream cheeses, they also offer dairy free variants and hummus.

I went here for the most amazing gluten free bagels I've ever had, and cane back for their wide selection of various artisanal Gluten Free bread loafs! Giant foccacias, artisanal loafs, seedy breads, they have it all.

I was really excited to read the reviews and go to this place, but I just wasn’t impressed. It’s cute and the employees were awesome, but the food was just meh. I had the cheeseburger and fries. It was okay (it looked way better than it tasted), but I’ve had far better gf burgers in far smaller cities.

This place 100% lives up to the hype. The bagels are so delicious and flavorful, they have such a nice texture, and they are much bigger than regular gf bagels. I also tried the cinnamon bun slice which will be a must buy from now on. It was a huge slice - I split it with 2 other people and it was a perfect size for all of us. The flavor and texture were amazing too.

They say it themselves on their website, but it's really true, do you eat gluten-free and are you in New York? Then definitely plan a visit to Modern Bread and Bagel. I chose this delicious (warm) bagel with egg, avocado, red pesto, sun-dried tomatoes and some lettuce. I couldn't resist the temptation to also grab a donut and a pastry for the road.

The employees had fantastic t-shirts that said: Sorry Gluten! You're no longer kneaded!

Bagels really are as good as reviews state. Other baked goods were awesome as well. Went back several times over our trip. Only thing that was mediocre was cookie. Although, will say cookie did not have the rice flour grittiness common in gluten free cookies. Just didn’t enjoy the flavor.

World’s slowest service. The line moves like a snail crawling backwards. We once waited 25 minutes and they were out of cream cheese (what?). The bagels are good for GF but still definitely taste GF, they’re not fooling anyone. Closed Saturdays. Worth going when it’s not crowded.

This is one of my favorite places in the world. As soon as you walk in, you are amazed on how much bread and baked goods there are. And they are all gf! The bagels are crazy good, and the tuna is too! Would recommend!

Dedicated 100% GF bakery. Their bagels are wonderful and the best I’ve had in the city. If you are vegetarian and don’t do bacon their BEC is automatically made with vegan bacon. Their bake goods are good, just be aware that not all pastries and baked goods times are Dairy free. They label if it is dairy free will say ( DF ) for pastries.

Bagels and baked goods were delicious! There were so many choices. I had the sweet billy on an everything bagel and it was so good. I also tried a thin mint cookie which was a bakery item in December and it was amazing. It was pretty crowded when I went, so be aware there might be a line.

Oh my gosh, this place is heaven! Bagels are delicious and the baked goods are just as wonderful. It’s been forever since I’ve been able to enjoy a fresh bagel and fresh donuts (especially jelly filled ones)! My best friend who does not have an allergy came with me and also loved it! My girlfriend has celiac and we went here for breakfast. I must say this was some of the best food I’ve ever had gluten free or not. Food was so fresh and delicious. Everything is 100% gluten free. Give this place a try.

Tastebuds get ready —you’re in for a treat! This celiac-friendly haven on the Upper West Side is worth the wait in line. Tons of options and all are delicious! Cranberry raisin bagel is so good and egg sandwiches do not disappoint! (Special shout out to the Sweet Billy!). We went here everyday for a week while on vacation and loved it!
