Updated my previous 1 star review. We used to eat here frequently and had several bad experiences and stopped for about 2 years. We recently tried it again as the gluten free menu had changed and we had an excellent experience. It just goes to show that a staff that cares makes a HUGE difference in the allergy friendly food quality. I wouldn't guarantee is celiac safe BUT as someone with a severe gluten reaction, I had no trouble after our most recent visit.
No
I'm gluten intolerant. Went there yesterday and made sure they understood, but I had a bad reaction. Not going back.
Kids didn’t like the gf sweet and sour chicken. They couldn’t make gf fried rice. Our meals with gluten weren’t that great either
I went in to eat lunch with my family. Ordered the Gluten Free sweet and sour chicken told them that I was Celiac. Got my food. 5 bites in I was glutened. Very disappointed. Not the first time Pei Wei cross contaminated my food. I was sick for 2 weeks.
The sweet & sour chicken was very good! The brown rice was pretty dry but I still enjoyed my meal overall and the fact I didn’t have to explain what GF is. Would love it if they had an egg role (been wanting one for so long), fried rice, or sushi available too.
Yes
I usually order the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken is battered in potato starch and is yummy. The Vietnamese chicken salad roll is also very good.
Another one of the few places in Denton that I don't ever worry about eating at. I don't have to explain about cross-contamination or what being gf means - ordering here is easy! And of course, the food is consistently great.
Love this place, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable
I love the sweet and sour chicken here and love that they also have gf soy sauce. I have yet to get sick with that meal, but haven't ventured to any of their other options.
I go here frequently, sometimes once a month and have never had issues. I enjoy the original chicken the most. Never had issues getting sick even when they are busy. They take proper precautions
Update May 2024. Continue to go here and never an issue. They have a more expanded gf menu than they used to. I have dined in and ordered online to go without issues

Ordered gf fried rice and gf pad Tai noodles. Was a lot of food, delicious flavors. No issues next day, highly recommend. They were attentive to my allergy.

So, I couldn’t find anything to verify this, but the staff at the airport location said that everything on their menu is gluten free - made with corn flour, there isn’t any gluten on site. This isn’t clear from their posted menu, which notes specific things are gluten free (implying that others that aren’t marked are not). And it’s also not clear when you find the Pei Wei website and the same menu items are not marked gluten free. But I did eat one of the things not marked gluten free (because they were out of the thing I wanted that was) and did not have any symptoms afterwards.

Not a fan- didn’t look like woks were being switched in-between dishes. Not sure how or why some things are GF and others are not when ingreds are similar- made no sense - too saucy!
