While the quality of food is excellent they only have GLUTEN SENSITIVE marked menu items and NOT Gluten-Free items, as they cannot guarantee no cross contamination.
Their indoor menu board and food signs in the display cases are NOT marked gluten sensitive, only their online menu indicates gluten sensitive items.

Update 1/20/19: they have drastically changed their menu and much fewer items are labeled. The chef was not particularly polite when I asked why some things stayed labeled and others didn’t. Staff was knowledgeable and confirmed I had an “allergy.” They are very clear that they can’t guarantee no cross contamination, but my sandwich was made on it’s own surface. They have a ton of options and my french dip was really good.
We have been coming here for over a year for gluten free pizza. Recently we have noticed a major decline in their ability to get our order correct which is not a good thing when you’re needing specific ingredients to not be included. We easily spend $60 on pizza for 2 adults and 2 small children and have been disappointed in flavor and symptoms the last 2 visits. It’s not a kid-friendly place to eat so we always order our pizza to-go which makes it very difficult to get our order corrected. Sadly I think it’s time for us to find a different pizza place.

The food is always tasty, staff has always been kind and helpful. From all the times I've eaten here I have yet to get sick. Tried a sandwich recently with no issue. They have a Gluten Sensitive menu now, which does have a disclaimer that they can't completely guarantee items are Gluten Free. Despite that, staff seems conscious and considerate of GF concerns.

Really yummy salads that are safe
Good quality gf pizza. Nice size and crust. Also offers gf bread and cupcake. Very filling and delicious.

I have eaten at both the Sacramento and El Dorado Hills locations several times and have never gotten sick. I can order the BBQ Beef Brisket, Chicken breast, or Salmon. There are always roasted vegetables, potato salad, fruit salad, kale-quinoa salad and green salads from which to choose. Very good wine and cider choices and staff is helpful.
For some unknown reason, the Brisket is not on the G-F menu, but more than one chef has assured me that it is G-F after consulting their recipe and notes.
I have never gotten sick at Selland's - ever.
After hearing how they handle their pizza crust, I have never been brave enough to try one.

I have removed my former good rating because the chef just recommended that I not eat there. Can't guarantee the safety of anything

I was disappointed because there really wasn't a lot of options. Salads were premade. Could not get turkey Cobb without bleu cheese.
All of the Selland's family establishments have trained staff that know GF. Also try Ella's and The Kitchen. Randall Selland's is one of the top chefs in our area. Never pass up an opportunity to eat at one of his restaurants or markets. The GF options are great.
