Most of the menu is marked gluten free, but it is NOT safe for celiacs. Sweet potato rolls, katsu, agedashi, any fried items are fried in a frier with gluten. Our server was great and let us know which items would be safe- many of the classic rolls and nigiri are not fried and would likely be safe. Edamame is safe. We are disappointed as we could not eat most of the things we wanted to get. We ended up leaving. I’m not sure why they mark so much of the menu gluten free when it is not, but don’t trust it if you are celiac.

This one of the top restaurants I’ve ever been too, and I’m a foodie. They create amazing gorgeous delicious plant-based sushi. So creative and flavorful! The other dishes were good too, especially the shizen shiitake. The menu is clearly marked GF, and about 70% of the menu is gluten-free. We ate there two nights in a row! Can’t say enough good things about this place. Whether you are vegan or a carnivore, this place just makes good food.

Things marked gluten free on the menu are not actually gluten free. We asked the waiter why and he said it’s basically so people feel better that they’re getting something vegan AND gluten free even if it’s not actually gluten free enough to be suitable for celiacs. I am not 100% sure but think I was glutened. I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about Tane, but gluten issues aside it was just not good in general.

Waiter asked if we had any allergies, and after hearing I was celiac a different waiter came and talked to us and said she had celiac too! She highlighted her favorite gf items on the menu and let us know that anything fried/ has tempura would not be safe since there’s no designated gf fryer. This eliminated Brussels sprouts and anything with tempura, even if marked GF on the menu. Felt safe and very friendly service.

Most of the menu is ‘gluten-free’ but not suitable for anyone with celiac. They have a shared frier so any tempura is not gluten free due to contamination from there. Tested one such dish with nima and found gluten. The server next suggested something that’s not fried but fresh to avoid such issues. That tested gluten free with Nima as well. Left the place after that.
