The chef was very knowledgeable and, after I neglected to indicate “celiac” on our online order, he talked to me to explain what their options were (no dedicated fryer so all chips and hard shells were not GF), and made an additional meal for my son for free. (Beef tacos on soft corn tortilla shells with black beans on the side.) He said the rice and beans were GF as well. The staff were so wonderful. Food was good!

UPDATE: We have mostly stopped eating here. Would try it again, but for some reason during Covid when they switched to pick-up, they seemed to lose their ability to make certain things gluten-free. My husband got sick a few times in a row, and we stopped trying for now.
Original Review:
We have eaten here several times and always been safe. Their salsa and cheese dip are fine, but - hear me - the chips are NOT safe. They do not have a dedicated fryer, as per their allergen menu. It is shared oil with flour tortillas, and should absolutely not be used by Celiacs. Bring a bag of chips. We have good luck here ordering the Pollo Loco (with any meat). It's great food at a great price! Just don't trust the fryer!

I tried this restaurant based on the reviews on this site. My experience did not match that of the other reviewers. Most staff were poorly trained on gluten. One was willing to help, but behaved like answering my questions was burdensome. I was also told the kitchen staff were largely unaware of the gluten status of the food because of a language barrier creating an inability to read English packaging. I should have left, but I didn’t because l was trusting in the experience of other reviewers. After beginning to eat my meal that l was told was gluten free, someone came by to let me know it wasn’t. I got sick, really really sick. #badmemories

The staff have a list of gluten free options. Anything typically made with corn tortillas is safe. They practice clean handling when told items are required to be gluten free. They have a dedicated fryer for their chips (only place in town that does). Other fried items all fried in a shared fryer. Huge menu and great staff. Pricing is to be expected for an authentic Mexican restaurant. Management is fantastic and answers all questions.

I eat here often. Enchiladas, fajitas, and tacos mostly. I have yet to have a severe reaction and I eat the chips.
Their spices, veggies, meats, and rice are gluten free. I love their fajitas. They did mine with corn tortillas and no cheese or sour cream to make it gluten and dairy free.

We are currently eating here and although they have a “dedicated fryer” for chips, they do fry the floured and battered green peppers in the same fryer. Our waitress was friendly and helpful but I did have to explain cross contamination to her. ****update*** Manager just informed me that they DO have dedicated fryer for chips only. Waitress misinformed me!
Very nice an accommodating staff. They have a dedicated fryer for their chips so I was able to enjoy the queso & guac :)
