One of the owners is celiac, so this place really take GF seriously. Could have absolutely anything from the entire menu! Went for the fried chicken and curry wurst, both were really good.

This place is amazing!!! The gnocchi is really good and the chef came out and talked to us personally about my allergies and specifies everything on the menu that's as safe for me. They don't use any wheat flour in the place!

What a neat concept, I could order anything I want off the menu! But I was underwhelmed, the portions were small and expensive and I didn't get filled up, had to order a second plate even though the first was pasta, it was just so little. Overall, not my favorite but I appreciated the options and would support this business just based on concept and principle.

This place was disappointing. Although I (a celiac) felt safe eating here, since I was informed by staff that everything on the menu is gluten-free, I am also a vegetarian and found few food options for me. The onion soup that I ordered was delicious, but even the larger option that I picked, the cup, was still small for a full meal. There was no dessert either. Overall, I don't advise against eating at this place, especially if you love meat, but there are plenty of places in the LA area that also serve safe gluten-free meals and offer more variety.

Amazing food and amazing service. I wish they had a branch in London!

I had the pesto gnocchi with a side of salad and it was really tasty but best of all was the cookie dough pie for dessert.

The owner and waiter were both on hand for questions and very helpful and chatty during our visit. Can't wait to go back! Thanks for a great meal! :)

WOW! You can everything gluten free only gluten is for people that want gluten in their bread and pasta. This was was a dream! The award-winning fried chicken was the best I have had...I do not like creamed corn but their homemade version should not be missed. They make everything thing from scratch and you can tell-- delicious!

Gluten Sensitive

The food tasted great, and our waiter was nice. However, we feel this is a good restaurant for someone who is gluten free out of choice (paleo, etc.) rather than necessity (celiac, gluten sensitive). We both had profound, day-ruining reactions within an hour of eating there on Valentine's Day 2015. The website said "Everything gluten free," but we were handed separate gluten-free menus with more limited offerings (that has apparently changed since our visit). That was a major red flag, and we asked lots of questions about the kitchen and food prep to make sure we could still eat there. We were assured everything would be fine, and yet it wasn't -- we both ended up with reactions that included hives, nausea, acid reflux and diarrhea.

I won't lie--the food is spectacular.

I have Celiac disease but have never had absolutely identifiable reactions if I meet cross-contaminants so I can't vouch for SURE but the staff seemed very knowledgable and I felt safe ordering.

BUT the service is ATROCIOUS. SO slow. I felt like I had been dropped into an episode of Punked waiting for the waiter to take our order... then for the food... then for goodness sake for the check to arrive (half an hour after he saw our empty plates?!? what?!?!) Just took a horrid chunk out of our vacation when it should have been no problem. There was one other party there when we came in. Took two hours to get done. Absolutely ridiculous. Look at yelp and you'll see others have the same issue. If you have lots of time, go! It is delicious!

Their entire menu is gluten free and their fried chicken is sooo good! If you're also dairy free/intolerant, their selection of menu items decreases. Gravy, etc. has dairy. I had their half salad with Italian dressing and fried chicken and it was delicious.; just the right amount of dressing. Our server was attentive, funny, and knew the menu well.

I've been coming to this restaurant for about 6 months now. I get sick RIGHT AWAY if I have even the smallest trace of Gluten so I was very excited to try a place where there is no wheat flour in the restaurant. All the other places I've been to in LA have wheat flour in the kitchen and even though they make an effort to accommodate we "GF-ers" it's about a 50/50 proposition as to getting sick or not when I eat at those places and the options are always very limited. At The Addiction I can have EVERYTHING and not worry about being ill afterward. I have explored their entire menu, have loved every dish I've been served, and have never gotten sick. I really can't say enough about how great this place is if you are GF or not. The food is simply fantastic. I discovered their brunch a few months back and have been there every week since...Homemade GF pancakes, chicken and waffles, blueberry muffins...all delicious. While the food here is incredible the one thing I take away with me every time I go is the feeling of reuniting with my humanity. I now have a place I can go where I feel as I did 15 years ago before I was diagnosed as Celiac. I had almost forgotten what that feels like...to be able to walk into a restaurant and be treated like everyone else, to have NO restrictions as to what I can order, to not feel like a kook or a freak, and to not have that nagging concern I may get sick. For this alone I'm eternally grateful for The Addiction Bistro. When you add in the quality of the food and the friendly staff...well...it almost brings me to tears.

This place is great if you can't eat gluten. They serve fried chicken, burgers, hot dogs, and pasta, all with vegetarian and vegan options. The food is good, but the dessert is outstanding. I recommend the cookie dough pie. Mind-blowing.

Parking in this neighborhood is tricky.

I have celiac and have been eating at this place for going on 3 years now. I don't usually leave reviews but had to reply to Jalex's in that was they said is not true, there is no separate gluten free menu with limited offering since 99% of the menu is gluten free. Had they eaten there they would know that's the case, so food for thought on that review vs the tons of others saying the opposite.

The only things that aren't gluten free are buns and pasta, but they have gluten free versions of both that taste like the real thing. I have seen people get sick for forgetting to tell their waiter those things in the order though, but that's no one's problem but their own.

If you're on the fence then I'd recommend trying it out, the pork belly is AWESOME and it's the only place I can get a hot dog or burger and eat like a normal person. One of the owners has celiac so they know what's up.

If you have Celiac Disease don't trust it. I got dick here too and the waiter assured me that there was no cross contamination, he said the owner has Celiac as well. I saw another review from a Celiac and a gluten intolerant saying they got sick. These great reviews are From people who probably are not affected by gluten.

Amazing! Would recommend to anyone. I got the fried chicken mean and my husband got the Parmesan chicken and we both loved it. For dessert he got the raspberry s'more parfait and I stole several bites because it was so good. The owner brought our food out and his partner explained to us that there are only two items with gluten in the restaurant which is gluten pasta and bread bun. Everything else is gluten free and there is no wheat flour in the building. We may have to come back before we leave.

Just had a spectacular meal here and EVERYTHING is Gluten-free. The Fried Chicken was moist, crispy, and flavorful. The Gnocchi was perfect with the most wonderful Bolognese Sauce I've ever had. My friend had the Pork Belly and I sneaked a bite...it was moist, fatty, bursting with flavor...a delicious slice of heaven. Then it was off to the desserts...all home made and, as with everything here, all gluten-free. The Creme Brulee ice cream was truly special and the S'more Pie was off the charts good.My only disappointment was that it was Friday night and they were barely half full. I always thought LA supported local independents but this is clearly not the case. This place should be packed every night by the general public and we GF-ers should be filling this place to the brim all day. Hopefully, tonight was an anomaly...it would be tragic for LA to lose a gem such as The Addiction Bistro.

My celiac son truly enjoyed the fried chicken on our first visit so we returned one week later on a rainy Saturday at 6. By 6:30 there was a line at the door and several parties were dining outside on the covered, heated patio in the rain. Delicious, fresh and gluten free. The perfect combo.

I think this is the only restaurant in LA where you can get anything on the menu made GF. That, plus the fact the food is amazingly tasty, makes this place uniquely awesome! I've eaten here several times and there are still things on the menu that I wanna eat. For starters, you gotta have the fried chicken.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! I'm visiting the LA area from the Bay Area and I found this gem of a restaurant! When I saw that EVERYTHING on the menu is gluten free I had to go! (Yes, they do also offer regular buns and pasta, but other than that everything is made gluten free and all made in-house! They are also VERY AWARE and cautious of cross contamination procedures)

The service was great, staff is very knowledgeable! I really enjoyed meeting Chef Johnny and talking with him! It's not often you find a chef who is so involved in the "front of house" operations in a restaurant! I also loved his passion about cooking!

Let me start by saying: SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT!!! I had a side of GF Mac and Cheese to start! Yum! But probably not the best idea as it filled me up a bit. I ordered the Short Rib dinner which came with mashed potatoes, AMAZING! The flavor was great, the meat was tender...I was very happy! Everyone had said save room for dessert...well...ok. I boxed up half my dinner and ordered the S'mores Pie for dessert! The marshmallow topping is torched right at your table, to give the top of the pie a "roasted marshmallow" effect, so delicious!

I'm only here until Wednesday, but I will be back! I can't wait to try more of the menu!

Literally EVERYTHING is gluten free on the menu except for the pasta and bread but just tell them you have an allergy and they will give you gluten free bread and pasta instead!! The head chef/ co-owner has Celiacs too, so you know that what you're going to be eating is perfect quality
