Very conscientious about making sure there is no cross contamination. The donuts taste great! I ordered the chocolate frosted coconut and a few others and had no side effects.

I’ve had The Holy Donut on my list of places to try for years, and I’m so glad I finally got to try it! We went in at about 9:45 on a Saturday and they still had all 6 gluten free donut options. The girl at the counter was very nice and when I said I was ordering gluten free donuts, she offered to get a separate bag and change gloves without me even having to ask. I tried the cinnamon sugar and the chocolate coconut. My boyfriend got a regular cinnamon sugar so we could compare. He said the gluten free donut had a slightly crispier outside which he liked and the texture of the inside of the two donuts were indistinguishable. Interestingly, the gf donut is more yellow on the inside than the gluten donut (I uploaded a picture for anyone who’s curious). Overall, it was such a treat to have a fried donut. This place did not disappoint!

love these donuts! i have never had a reaction to celiac here, but i am also pretty sensitive to sugar especially in the morning so sometimes i feel a bit ill because of that. but they are extremely safe, take celiac very seriously and their donuts are delicious!!!!

I go here fairly regularly and have little to no discomfort. Honestly, any discomfort could probably be attributed to the sugar and dairy first thing the morning 😅 Donuts are kept in a separate bin behind the counter/display and the staff always changes their gloves and marks the bags with a “gluten free” sticker. As far as a non-dedicated facility goes, they do a very good job of trying to minimize cross contamination 🍩

Gluten free donuts were amazing!!! The only problem was they didn't have many. When I went in, there were tons of regular donuts but only 2 gluten free left.

As of 12/27/22, all the GF have dairy and eggs, both of which I can’t have. My family enjoyed the non GF options.
Separate space for the donuts. No visible cross contamination. Have had several donuts without issue.

Amazing donuts. Separate case for GF from main. Only downside is they aren’t great with cross contamination so you just have to take the gamble if you feel comfortable. They specifically say there’s not a dedicated gluten free area. My boyfriend did not get sick and loved the donuts!

I had a delicious caramel, coconut, and chocolate donut! While it is a shared kitchen, the gluten-free donuts are stored in a separate display case to the regular ones.

Really enjoyed the classic and more unique flavors! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in or passing near the area. Everything was separated out from regular donuts so it felt safe!

Hands down the best GF donut I’ve had, except for the Old Fashioned. It was ok, but nothing special. The chocolate with the coconut topping was insane, and I’m not even that much of a coconut fan. I didn’t get the dryness that people have mentioned, but I try to go as early as I can, when stuff is fresher. I stopped there early in the morning, got an assortment and put 6 in the freezer, wrapped in plastic, right away. GF baked goods really benefit from being exposed to as little air as possible, in my experience. When I want one, I just put it out to defrost for a couple of hours.

Super crowded and tend to run out of GF donuts. Have been disappointed several times. Donuts are cakey and sometimes a little dry, but generally worth it. Chocolate sea salt very good.

Very pleasant worker that waited on us. The gf Lemon and Gf Chocolate doughnuts were good, but very dry. I know this is common with gf bakery, but I was hoping this place would be different.

Several gf flavors! 5 stars in terms of celiac safety: they store the gf ones separately and automatically change gloves for any gf order. But tbh, the texture of the donut itself was a bit disappointing in my opinion; pretty cakey and dry. The flavor was great and maybe the other ones are better!

First fresh donut I've had in years!!! It was incredible (I bought 3, but could only eat 1.5. - blueberry, lemon zest, and old fashioned). Got their around 9:30, and waited in line for 25 mins. GF donuts are stored separately away from the regular donuts, staff changed their gloves and used a separate container. Be sure to tell them as soon as you get to the register that you need GF donuts, and they will get a separate container. I also saw separate racks for the GF donuts in the back.

The chocolate sea salt gluten free donuts are sublime! Go early in the day as they run out of donuts/ flavors and may close early I sadly found several times at the Park Ave location. The drive through in Scarborough has long lines but worth the wait. The coffee however is just so-so, nothing special and doesn’t stand up to the donut quality, which is hard to understand

They had a good variety of GF donuts. Keep in mind these are cakey donuts. The flavor of the glaze on the margarita and lemon was great. My fiancé didn’t care for their glutinous donuts because of their cakey texture.

The donut was fantastic. We had tried to get a donut the day before but they were out. My husband got up early to be able to get some gluten free donuts. The selection was great and the cinnamon sugar gf donut was amazing. I would so have another but they are very filling. My husband was disappointed in their reaction to a gluten “allergy” they wanted to put the gluten free donuts in the same box as the regular ones we bought for the family. They acted upset that he asked for them to change gloves and use a separate box ($.75 charge for another box.) other than the I’ll attitude, the donut was amazing.

Pleased with the gf donut selection. Gf donuts are stored in a separate case from regular donuts and clearly labeled. I do wish the server washed his hands or put on fresh gloves before handling the GF donuts. He just used a fresh piece of pastry paper. He did pick the GF donuts first before the regular donuts and was happy to put the regular donuts in a separate bag. Two folks working werent sure if the tea used to make iced teas is GF or not and I was too lazy to Google it myself.

Great donuts. Get there early in the morning, gluten free or not. They sell out quickly of the different flavors. The day to day will vary on what GF options they have but all are good. GF donuts made separately and safely in other fryer.

Totally awesome! They had 4 different flavors. I tried the cinnamon- excellent!! It tasted like a regular gluten donut!!
Gluten free donuts are placed in own area away from gluten foods. Delicious and safe.

I was never a big donut-eater before I had celiac, but I knew I had to give Holy Donut a try. I was super impressed with their gluten-free selection. I think there were 8 different gf flavors! They also had great coffee.
Yes
I know someone who worked there, and she said that while they don’t have a dedicated production space for gf donuts, they do empty the oil every night, clean the fryers thoroughly, and mix/fry the gf donuts first. I ate there for the first time today (honey lavender flavor donut). I asked the counter person to wash their hands first before picking my donut and they were very accommodating. I made sure to leave a big tip. I am very sensitive to cc and I did not get sick at all!! Very excited to have a new option.
Yes
They have a separate GF section for their donuts. 8 GF flavors from which to choose.
Yum!! Loved the cinnamon donut. Loved that GF were on their own rack and packaged in their own bag (without me having to ask).
The GF donuts are all cake donuts, so if you're expecting a chewy glazed donut experience, you'll be disappointed. Also, the taste profile from one flavor to another isn't very different. Most of the flavor is in the frosting. The GF donuts were kept in a separate case but when the store is busy, I would worry about cross-contamination from the servers' gloves.
On a different note, I was asked to wait for my specialty coffee. The store was packed, so when the coffee type (not my name, like other coffee shops do) was called, I didn't hear it. When my husband inquired after several minutes, the gentleman behind the counter (in the Dallas Cowboys hat) blamed us for the mistake and said he gave it away to someone else. Another one was made, but the first impression was already set. For four donuts and a coffee, our bill was $21. We will not be back.

I have celiacs and this place was great! Amazing flavors for GF. We bought 1 of each flavor they had: Lemon glaze, maple glaze, chocolate glaze, cinnamon glaze, glazed chocolate coconut, and plain! Moist, not overly sweet, great texture, just AWESOME :-)

We went to the Scarborough location (not listed on this app). Donuts were amazing! We took some home, yay! 6 different flavors to choose from. They are huge & moist with great texture.
We love to the gluten free selections at Holy Donut. They have an ever expanding selection (Dark chocolate sea salt, lemon, chai, old-fashioned, cinnamon sugar, triple berry, and maple) of GF donuts. Have eaten there 30 times over 5 years and never gotten sick. (Not celiac)
