Symptomatic Celiac

I'm visiting NYC for the 1st time this weekend and already have a list of the well known Celiac/gf spots, but I was wondering if there are any "cheap eats" that are safe?

katkatkat I was there last weekend and LOVED Modern Bread and Bakery. Lots of good stuff for breakfast. I also tried Posh Bakery for desserts and they were awesome. There was also a French fry place called Pomme Frites that is almost 100% GF aside from a few sauces that was great. Not sure where you normally live but for a healthier fast food option sweet green is also amazing. Not 100% GF but a majority of their menu naturally is and the salads are delicious. I eat there at least once a week.

lyn54727 Le Botaniste. Totally gf, delicious and healthy. It's also vegan, but omg, the "meaty" chili and the fusilli are amazing!

olivia_k Modern Bread and Bagel, Senza Gluten, and Friedman’s! All really good, and the first two are dedicated gf!

taylor53658 If you’re looking to save money, I strongly recommend NADAS! It’s mainly grab and go and has a very limited seating, but it’s 100% GF, great customer service, and very cost friendly while still being delicious 1 reply

emily55745 Friedmans is excellent! Modern B & B and By The Way Bakery for breakfast/pastries. Risotteria Melotti is amazing and 100% gluten free. Strange cheap option on the move - Shake Shack has great GF burgers and they’re very safe about it in my experience, but can’t have fries because of a shared fryer.

Mommatonk Keste Pizza & Vino. Awesome gf paninis, etc & the best sangria! If you go at lunch their lunch menu is more affordable and has large portions.
