Food *was* amazing. However, they no longer take measures to prevent cross contact. Pasta is cooked in the same water as regular pasta. GF Pizza is prepped and cooked on the same surface as regular pizza. This comes directly from the manager. I think they got tired of taking care of gluten allergies and just gave up.
4 stars for honesty

Always visit when I’m in town. I do have a allergy to gluten and break out in hives if I eat it. I did not break out at all! I had the gluten free marinara pasta and the gluten free margarita pizza! It has been the best gluten free pizza and pasta that I’ve had so far! I was questioning myself the entire meal if it was really gluten free because it tasted so much like gluten pizza and pasta. They should definitely make this restaurant in Vegas!

After telling my waiter I had celiac, a manager came over and said they could not prepare any food gluten free. Everything was cross contaminated 100%.
He said the menu labels "gluten free pizza" because they start with gluten free pizza dough, but it's prepared on the same surface as wheat flour. The pasta is boiled in the same water, kitchen staff using the same gloves, etc.
While it was extremely inconvenient and annoying to learn this, much respect to the manager to speaking up so I didn't get glutened. He said he has mentioned to the owners in the past that the menus should not offer gluten free food when the kitchen makes no attempt to keep gluten free items separate. I'm passing this along in the hope it keeps someone else from getting glutened.

Amalfi was fantastic. One of the owners visited our table and gave me his card. He said if we call in advance, we can request specific gluten free dishes. Craving gluten free lasagna? Call and they will make sure they have it. Wonderful atmosphere and food. Will definitely be on my rotation.

Excellent GF pizza! Probably the best I’ve had outside of Italy. I think the oven is shared but it’s a 900F wood oven and gluten denatures somewhere around 500-600F; I did not get have a reaction at all.

My wife and I usually laugh when we see reviews that mention "the best gluten-free pizza ever" as we're usually disappointed and discover that a precooked crust is being used. Thankfully, this wasn't the case here. This is a real cooked-to-order crust that is nearly indistinguishable as gluten-free and now I'm the one saying this is the best gluten-free pizza I've ever had. We've already raved about this restaurant to friends and family. They also offer a variety of gluten-free pasta dishes and their gluten-free eggplant parmesan was very good, although a bit salty for my liking (the eggplant itself and not the sauce). We'll definitely be coming back to try the pasta and another pizza. Keep in mind that the prices are somewhat high, but you're also receiving high-quality food and pizza from a chef that has won several world-wide awards for his pizza making.

This place is an excellent dining experience. The GF pizza is the best I’ve had since I traveled to Italy and they have many other GF options. The staff/servers were very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The ambiance was great as well. They have tables outside to view the lake, a bar in the restaurant and below. I have been there twice and am very sensitive and have not had a reaction. Would definitely recommend.
