My meal here was very good. The waiter was so careful and very aware of food allergies and the need for safety. Sweet heat mahi gave me no issues! Bubbly sangria was also a unique addition to the experience

I enjoyed every bit of food I ate. It was delicious and our waiter was super courteous. It does say on the menu that if you have celiacs or a gluten sensitivity that they don’t recommend you eat here due to there being flour in the kitchen. When we are here we got there right as they opened (we were the first people seated and to get our food) and I have had no issues with my stomach hurting. Not saying it will be the same for anyone else.

Had lunch here. Very nice setting overlooking creek and marina. GF menu, staff knowledgeable and attentive. Had flounder Provençal and it was delicious! NonGF husband had chowder & mahi mahi sandwich which he enjoyed. Would go back again. Felt safe and no issues.

Wait staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with specifics on the menu ( is the Mayo in coleslaw commercial? Ok, contains wheat).

Waitress was super knowledgeable about gf options and had open dialogue with chef about our allergies. Started with the sushi salad and highly recommend! Wanted to get a gf bun but they were all out but they made accommodations and talked me through gf sides. Got the Mahi mahi simply grilled with side of black beans and rice and Cole slaw. Would go again!

No dedicated fryer. They had a limited gluten free menu. They are supposed to have a Gf bun but were out. We were not overly impressed with the Gf options (at least for a child).

I had the strawberry pecan salad and a baked potato. It was good & I didn’t get sick. 👍

While the service was great given the very busy dinner rush, the grouper was overcooked and the baked potato was very hard and tasted like it had just popped out of the microwave. I got home and hour later and started having stomach issues after being assured they took precautions. Unfortunately, this isn't a safe place for celiacs no matter what precautions they try to take.

Server was knowledgeable and friendly. Specifically asked me if I had an allergy to let the kitchen know.

The server was very willing to work with my gluten intolerance and notified the appropriate staff. She was even concerned about whether she should bring my husband’s bread to the table. The food and service was excellent! No gluten issues!

We went here last night and it was just ok. They do not have a dedicated fryer so options are limited. The only options for sides are baked potato or rice & beans. I asked for my salad without croutons and they brought it with croutons so had to send back. No gf kids options except filet mignon. They actually state on their menu that if you have celiac you should not eat there. I’m used to seeing CYA statements on menus but never one literally telling you not to eat there if you have celiac. My son and I both have celiac and are fine though.
Decent restaurant experience. We had the Pecan Brown Butter Cod with a Grilled Shrimp Add-on, as well as the Sweet Heat Mahi Mahi. Both were passable entrees. Definitely a safe option with plenty of choices, though we would skip this on future visits given the number of other options on HHI.
They had a separate gf menu the server brought for me. While the choices were somewhat limited, I did safely enjoy some pecan crusted brown butter cod.
Yes
Had the low country boil from the GF menu, but may have had a cc reaction. Staff didn't seem knowledgeable about celiac.
The Black Marlin has GF options marked on their menu, the wait staff was knowledgeable regarding allergies and they were accommodating to create a dish for me. As I am not a seafood fan, they had sirloins/fillet/grilled chicken options as well as vegetables (the seasonal vegetable mix contains dairy, I opted for individual vegetables). The food was delicious and it was refreshing not feeling sick on vacation!

GF menu items marked. I got the stuffed chicken breast with mashed sweet potatoes and asparagus. Did not get sick. Service wasn't great, but outdoor atmosphere is nice. We ate indoors because the wait was long for outside.
Great gluten free choices and great seafood.
Yes
Great menu clearly marked gluten free. I enjoyed Alaskan King Crab legs.

Just like the other review said...wish we would have found his place before our last night. Simply amazing, and delicious. By far, best meal of our entire trip.
Food was delicious and staff was very friendly. Menu was marked with gluten free options which were extensive. I had the broiled scallops with side of rice and black beans and steamed veggies. We didn't have reservations and were seated outside right away. Great experience! Definitely will go back!!
Yes
Great gluten free menu and knowledgeable staff! The only disappointment was we didn't discover the restaurant until the last evening.
Yes
Good food, and GF items clearly marked which is so nice!
My son has celiac and this restaurant was great. The gluten free items are indicated on the menu taking the guess work out. He had the shrimp appetizer and lobster tail with baked potato and veggies. Of course, being a 12 year old boy, he didn't eat the veggies, but everything else was wonderful! The only disappointment for him was the dessert. The only gluten free option was creme brûlée which was not interesting to him. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone with celiac visiting Hilton Head!
Yes
They had the GF items identified on their website menu. I had a wonderful salad w/ fresh avocado, shrimp, pineapple, egg, tomatoes & some things I'm forgetting. Great dine in/outside atmosphere!
Best crab legs I’ve ever had by far. They were big, juicy and had lots of meat. I could tell they weren’t soaked in water or over boiled. Cooked perfectly. I was starving and inhaled them. I just wanted more and more of them. Aaron said I had a ravenous look in my eyes and at one point was double fisting crab legs and green beans. It was a sight to be seen. The green beans were crispy and tasted great. Nothing special about the baked potato, it’s really hard to screw them up. Aaron had some fried shrimp tacos and raved about them. For desert, he had a molten chocolate lava cake and I watched him eat it.
