Amazing. This restaurant has an amazing selection of Gluten Free options! The servers are VERY educated when it comes to GF requirements and cross contamination. It’s always so exciting to be in a restaurant where you feel completely safe! We had calamari as an appetizer, my husband had chicken cordon blue and I had pasta bolognese. We were too full to have dessert… but they had dessert CHOICES, which is almost unheard of.

went here for the first time and it was INCREDIBLE. We walked in and the immediately asked if anyone needed a gf menu, and the menu was proactively the same size as the regular menu. Our server was super knowledgeable about everything gf and answered all of my questions, and even told us that the restaurant was founded by two people with celiac’s so that knowledge is engrained into the culture of restaurant, which I found so reassuring. I had the gf bread, burger and fries (dedicated frier) and the cheesecake and it truly was one of the best gf meals I’ve had in a LONG time. I will for sure be coming back often!!!

When I walked in the door and asked for a table the first question they asked me is if I wanted a gluten free menu! Immediately I knew I was at the right place. Amazing cheeseburger and fries. Dedicated frier. Separate gluten free menu. The desserts sounded amazing but I was too full to try. The general tso’s cauliflower appetizer amazing as well. Highly recommend.

Update. Went back and we shared the chicken risotto and crab cakes. Both great. We got the chocolate dessert and it was amazing to say the least.

Burton’s knows how to take care of its customers with celiac and other intolerances! I have had their risotto countless times, falafel, fish sandwich, and hamburger and every time I have received a delicious safe gluten and dairy free meal. Burton’s is my favorite place in Cville. They take extreme precautions for celiacs, even using different shaped plates to make sure they don’t mix orders up. Huge gf menu and everything is delicious. 7 layer chocolate cake is to die for, as is the fried fish sandwich and fried pickles.

Really tasty food and almost the entire menu is gluten free! They have separate shaped plates for the gluten free items when you dine in so you know it’s right, and they mark take out orders. They don’t short on pasta and sandwich options and they have a dedicated frier so I’d recommend trying the fries! Entrees can be a little pricey but worth it for a nice dinner

Every server comes to the table and the first thing they ask is if there are any allergies at the table. We went with myself (celiac), and 2 of my bridesmaids, each of which have allergies (shellfish and onions). They were able to keep all of our food from cross contamination, brought each plate out separately for safety, and double checked options for my friend with an onion allergy. The food is delicious, the gluten free menu is pretty extensive, and the atmosphere is so comfortable and pleasant.

Absolutely outstanding!!! I am gluten free and dairy free, and there were a ton of options for me and even a dinner roll! The entire staff was incredibly attentive to my allergies and every person who brought out my food immediately added that it was both gluten and dairy free. Turns out the owner of the chain has celiac so it makes sense that they definitely get it. 100% recommend

Food is really good. This is the most attentive gluten free restraunts I have ever been to. The food did not make me sick at all. They use a seperate fryer for anything gluten free.

I am blown away by my experience here! The hostess asked if anyone needed a GF menu before we were even seated. There was a blurb on the menu about how seriously they take accommodating dietary restrictions. My food was delivered to the table separately by gloved hand with confirmation that it was gluten free. Celiac can be so isolating sometimes, especially in restaurants, but Burtons gave me a sense of normalcy and inclusivity. Great job Burtons!

I've eaten here several times and have never gotten sick. They are knowledgeable and always happy to accommodate my diet. The gluten-free menu is extensive. I love their burgers and how their buns don't get mushy or fall apart like so many others do. This is the only restaurant I've ever been to that offers a gluten-free bread service (although it is an extra cost) - the focaccia is delicious. Usually I don't have room for dessert, but I did try the cheesecake one time and it was amazing, creamy and decadent. I wish I lived in town so I could go here all the time.

Burtons has a dedicated GF menu with lots of choices. My son ordered the burger and fries and he said it was delicious, especially the bun. Also, the server brought his food out first, then our food was brought out separately. Service was great. We will be back.
