Every Cross Contamination Everywhere
Severe difficulty getting food that didn't make me sick here. chefs don't seem to care much about the gluten free crowd, despite saying they can work with food issues.
They have a lot of GF options and are well informed on the issues of cross contamination, yet every time I eat there I still get some cross over. Only go if you have a mild intolerance. Not celiac friendly, their kitchen is just too crazy to be perfect. There GF burgers are really good though... May have to suffer an outbreak for it.
Do NOT eat at this CCF if you must be gf! My server seemed ticked that I would ask for gf. I am now violently ill.. I know what cross contamination feels like, and this isn't it. I honestly believe I was served non gf pasta, even though the person who brought it out told me it was gf. Lesson learned the hard way. :-(
Very nice gluten free menu - lots of options
been here multiple times. almost inevitably served gluten by accident or given the most tasteless dry chicken and plain rice as my "only option"
I work at a different Cheesecake Factory so this one might be slightly different. However, I see the most horrible things happen with "gluten free food". I came here cause of a friends birthday choice and ate grilled salmon, which I never have a problem with. But stay away from the pasta and salad dressings. I have found pasta in my eggs, and gluten free pasta. The salad dressings get mixed up all the time. Stick with grilled food!!!
Great gluten free menu. pasta was good & tender. would be nice to have more than one cheesecake option but the one they have is very good.
I recently revisited this location (after being turned away a few years ago) and I am sooo glad I did! They have a new multi-page gluten free menu!! Wow! The food was great. I had a burger with a gf bun, seemed like an udis bun, and French fries. Will be back again soon.
I read a lot of bad reviews about gluten items showing in “gluten free” entrees, so I sent an email to the corporate office. I received a call from their representative on September 10, 2013 stating they now have a menu dedicated for those who are gluten free. First let me say that they have a separate area in the kitchen with designated utensils for gluten free items, this will cut down on cross contamination. The representative relayed that they try to prepare gluten free items first. This is a new program, about a week old from this review. My family and I have eaten there two times since my conversation and have been satisfied both times. The only problem would be the noodles at this time, some was too hard while other entrees where too soft. They have gluten free bread, for those who want an actual hamburger/turkey burger/mushroom burger/eggplant burger (yes many choices). Like all restaurants the waiter can make the experience great or just average, which is why I won’t deduct my rating for an establishment because of one waitress. They also have desserts that are consumable for those with gluten intolerance/Celiac. Another feature my wife and I like is the fact they state that some items may contain has much as 20ppm. Finally the prices, there is NO added surcharge for wanting gluten free items; the price remains the same, minus the bread that is given complimentary in the beginning of the meal for those who can consume gluten. For those who miss eating Cheesecake Factory I highly recommend revisiting now they are serving gluten free items.
Beware of the salads. I ordered one and they took all the ingredients off. No bacon, no dressing, no avacodo. Lettuce with tiny bit of balsalmic, they wouldn't give me more. All the while my husband ate what looked like a wonderful flavorful very large meal. They never came to check on us and then made it a big deal when I didn't want to eat that or anything else cause my husband was finished eating. After 1.5 hours (very bad service too) I left hungry. Find another establishment.
I'm glad other people have eaten here and not gotten glutened. However, I've gotten sick every time I've eaten here! Maybe it's my fault for ordering gluten free pasta dishes, but they shouldn't label it gluten free if it's not! I do appreciate the large gluten free menu though.. So I felt like that warranted 3 stars!
GF items are clearly labeled on the menu! What a plus. This makes dining out so much more pleasant for me. They only have one GF cheesecake available (the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake). I wish they'd have a larger selection of GF cheesecakes. Otherwise, this isn't a bad place for many GF cordials, appetizers, and entrees.
Have attempted to eat here three times since being GF and I was glutened every single time. They have a really bad problem with cross contamination. I specifically told them each time that I had celiac, to which they responded by pointing out the disclaimer on their menu about cross contamination and warned me that I probably wasn't safe to eat there then. I should have never risked it. But what is the point of having a GF menu then? I guess it's just for the trendy folks.
HORRIBLE!! Ordered a cheeseburger to be made gluten free and they brought it out on a regular bun, luckily I noticed it didn't look right, then they brought me a new one with a regular bun on it AGAIN!! They screwed up twice and still charged me for my meal! And on top of all that I got sick from the burger they did bring out. Will never eat there again
No, most definitely not celiac friendly. The offer gluten free " upon request". I requested, they failed, badly. They gave a gluten free bun, but upon the first bites of my salad I realized there was already dressing. I asked a waiter about that and the seasonings on my fish. He asked and came back and took my salad and said it was not gluten free and said that the seasonings should be ok, because it might only have a "little" gluten. I had already taken bites of everything and spent the evening sick. No apologies, no comp service.
Dropped to one star from 5. No more GF buns, no separate fryer, employees uneducated. Guess they are off the GF bandwagon. Too bad--will take business elsewhere.
They do have a GF menu, it is just included as part of the regular menu. They offer pasta, and a GF bun for burgers and sandwiches. I had an omelette and thought I was only limited to a side of sliced tomatoes, but the server was very helpful and said I could have fruit or a salad was well. They fruit side was very good as was the omelette. They do offer other desserts that are GF. Even though they aren't traditional cheesecake they are still tasty.
Had the gf Americana burger and fries and boyfriend had the lemon-herb roasted chicken dish. Both were good and boyfriend, who has allergy, had no trouble after meal. We also shared the Godiva chocolate cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. If you like a lot of chocolate, that cheesecake is for you! Flourless chocolate cake topped with chocolate cheesecake and then chocolate mousse.
Incredible!!! Knowledgeable servers and amazing gf pasta and Godiva chocolate cheesecake!
Great pasta & burgers. Salads!Celiac friendly.
I love this restaurant. I recommend their burgers (gluten free buns are available), their fries have a designated GF fryer, AND they have a Godiva chocolate cheesecake. If you mention you have an allergy the waiters/waitresses seem to be aware and careful.
Small but varied selection of gluten free items manager at this one has made sure every cook understands and is trained properly on gf needs(manager also is gluten free) I got the shepherds pie and my wife got the 4 cheese pasta and both are great!!!
