Proceed with caution. The pizza is good,, still not a yeast crust, but the crust contains “gluten free wheat starch.” It’s what gives it a certain texture. Apparently, this works for some people, but not me. Companies have found a way to “wash” away gluten-containing wheat protein, leaving only the starch. Some companies, including King Arthur, Caputo and Schar, still meet the North American standard for being gluten-free (less than 20 parts per million of gluten). I’m not sure what brand of pizza dough they use, but the ingredients are listed on the menu, which states that the crust contains Gf wheat starch. Why not just make it totally wheat-free? I was sick.

Best pizza I’ve ever had, and it happens to be gluten free!
Sooo good, we have eaten here twice on our five day trip and have enjoyed each bite everytime! Extra 4$ for gluten free but oh so worth it

Really good GF pizza, salami was a little salty…. but BEST crust ever!!
Arrived at 730pm and place was packed. Luckily everyone got up and left at the same time to go to their Broadway shows and was able to nab a table.

Ordered a gf pizza for delivery to our hotel. It was outstanding. No adverse effects at all. Kitchen told us when we ordered the pizza that it was prepared in a separate kitchen to avoid cross contamination. Last time I ate something at home that was cross contaminated I got really sick so this pizza was a treat.

The GF pizza here is fantastic, and the location is very convenient especially if you’re going to the theater. They prep the GF pizza away from the regular pizza.

Great little Italian place located not too far off of Times Square. Huge gluten free menu, dedicated kitchen (yes, you read that right- a whole gluten free kitchen), and well trained staff to keep food safe from cross contamination. Make sure you arrive hungry because the pizza is delicious, but you also need to get an appetizer or two because there are so many safe, gluten free fried items.

Don Antonio has the most amazing pizza and a wonderful and knowledgeable staff. The pizza is some of the best I’ve had ever…even before my celiac diagnosis. I love the food, staff, and location. The salad was great too, but the pizza is what I will crave and return for!

Ate at restaurant on 3/31/2024 during vacation. You will not be disappointed. Hands down the BEST pizza I have ever had. OMG i see why there are so many positives reviews. I wish I lived in NY to frequent all the time. They are crazy fast as well in making the pizza. Felt was only a few minutes and pizza was delivered to the table.

i have never had a better gf pizza. i went here on the last full day of my trip and the two things i had were spectacular. the montanarine genovesi was so fluffy and beautiful but the crust on the gf pizza was to die for. i had to ask the waitress to confirm i got the gf crust bc it seemed too good to be true. if you can handle a restaurant that isn’t dedicated gf, you have to stop here.

Awesome people, awesome food. The waiter literally knew I was going to say I had celiac before I even said it. She was super kind and made sure the food was just right. Prepared in a separate location and only 5 items on the menu that are not celiac friendly.

The BEST GF pizza I have ever eaten!! GF pizzas are cooked in a separate oven (one at a time), so they take a little longer get, but we were appreciative of the extra care. The GF pizza crust is fluffy and light. They also have several “mini calzone” appetizers that are safe. They were very careful about my tomato allergy, also. The restaurant was very busy, but every employee was busy and kind. We will definitely be back!!

Non-gf pizza was delicious. GF pizza was probably the best we've had outside of Italy. They are very serious about gluten and have a separate GF kitchen which is always a relief.

Love this place! It's important to note though that the flour blend they use for the gluten free crust is gluten free but not wheat free, as it has gluten-removed wheat starch. Their website says exactly which flour they use, which I think is great for transparency. If you have celiac or a gluten sensitivity, absolutely recommend! Never have I gotten sick at this place and the pizza is so stinkin good. However, if you have a wheat allergy, you will unfortunately not be able to eat the pizza.
Removed one star for safety because the staff did not mention that the GF pizza crust has wheat starch and I don't recall seeing it on their menu, either.

This is EASILY the best GF pizza I’ve ever had.
They use wheat starch in the crust which I don’t know a lot about (I guess wheat starch CAN contain gluten but can also be safe). I’m asymptomatic celiac but judging by all the great reviews from symptomatic celiacs I went for it and it was so so so good.

Don Antonio was well worth the wait! (They don't take reservations and we had to wait 30 minutes as we arrived at a busy time.) The food was very good! We had 2 pizzas and the appetizer mixer. This is hands down the best gluten free pizza that we've had so far. The dough is sooo good. Not too thick, not too thin, nice and chewy. My mouth waters thinking about it. My daughter and I had to eat quickly as we were rushing to make it to a Broadway show, otherwise we would've taken our time and savor the experience more. We were happy she could experience Friday Night Pizza Night in NYC.
The waitress was very kind and knowledgeable. She mentioned our GF food would take a little longer as it is prepared by a dedicated chef in a separate area of the kitchen, separate everything, to avoid cross contamination. The food did not come out marked but after I asked once for confirmation, each time the serving staff brought out a dish they would confirm, "yes, this is gluten free."
Adding to my favorites! I'm off to check the website to see if they ship frozen pizzas!
