GF items clearly marked on menu, plus the staff was very knowledgeable about cross contamination and keeping food gluten free. And the food was delicious!

Can not recommend. While there are a number of items labeled GF on the menu, the servers and kitchen staff are not knowledgeable. I ordered the Carne Asada Plater (labeled GF) and server assured me they would include corn tortillas. When the platter arrived my tortilla were fortunately wrapped in foil. I asked the server if they were corn and he said, “sure they should be”. I unwrapped them to find the same flour tortillas that my wife got on her fajita plate. At least they were wrapped and did not touch my food. Also of note, my wife ordered the big margarita and it arrived with no salt (she ordered salt) and very watered down. When I took it to the bar to have it remade the bar tender told me he was too busy to address my issue. The restaurant was only half full. Shared fryer, chips not safe.

Staff was knowledgeable and even brought our son taco shells to eat as the chips.

Asked for gluten free food, but turned out to be processed in a cooker used for gluten food as well. Disappointed. Food in general not very good.
Our most recent meal was a gluten disaster so I must change my review as a warning to other celiacs: Dos Locos can no longer be recommended. Despite a lengthy conversation with our seemingly knowledgeable waiter, my wife (celiac) was reacting to her meal (DelMar quesadilla with GF corn tortilla) before we left the restaurant. I can only surmise that the issue is poor cross contamination control in the kitchen. By the way, we hadn’t eaten here for a couple years but all the previous visits had been fine and delicious. The menu looks about the same but the kitchen is no longer safe.
From several years prior: My wife (celiac) and I thoroughly enjoyed our date last night. Roberto, our waiter, was excellent throughout. The menu has so many gluten free options, it was hard to choose, and Roberto was very allergy-knowledgeable and helped us select safe drinks. We ended up with Peg's Margaritas, which were large and tasty. My wife choose crab-stuffed enchiladas for $19 that were delicious and I had sirloin fajitas ($18) for the first time in years. The white corn gf tortillas were so soft and the sirloin was very tender. Roberto was very attentive and friendly and we can't wait to go back. Thanks for a great evening. Very celiac friendly.

Had tried this place in the past for my wife and daughter. But this experience was awful. Waitresses were clueless. We told them about our daughter having celiac, she check with the kitchen, and still brought her gf taco with fries...that aren't gf. 2 waitresses messed up our drinks, food, and check
Waitress kindly asked the cook all of my questions on cross contamination. She reported from the cook “everything touches everything.” Solely based on reviews we took a chance and got quesadillas, they were delicious, but I got sick (my daughter didn’t.) I had the crab quesadilla and my daughter had a plain cheese one.
Staff was. Very knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. There are so many gf options!

This place is amazing!! The waiter was very knowledge and told me that the chips are gluten free, but not celiac safe as they use the same fryer. I was able to get a gluten free quesadilla that I haven’t had in soo long. I got the Del Mar one and it was delicious! The waiter also brought me taco shells to break off to use as chips and my own separate salsa as appetizer! So yummy I want to try everything on the menu!

We had a Great waitress, Jocelyn. While we were looking over the menu, we asked for chips and salsa. She brought regular items for my wife and a separate bowl of salsa for me and, because the regular chips could be cross-contaminated, she bought me a set of gluten-free hard corn taco shells to break and use to dip in my salsa. Talk about both knowledgeable and celiac-friendly! That is not to say she knew everything. However, what she didn’t know about the rest of the menu items, she went and checked with the chef. Needless to say we had a great meal, no gluten problems and will definitely return next time we are in town.

Our server was super knowledgeable. He clarified what wasn't gf and offered other options as well. Alot of the menu was gf. We had a great meal! We will be back!🌮😀
Yes
The restaurant did not have lots of choices but they were gracious and accommodating. Two family members had fajitas, one had enchiladas and I had the hard tacos. The food was delicious and we had no issues. We had difficulty finding GF restaurants in Rehoboth, Dewey and Lewes. We were happy to have found this one.

The menu clearly indicates GF and the servers and chef are very informed. HOWEVER, GF entrees dangerously come with non-GF rice. So glad I double checked. This is a change from when we ate here previously, so beware. Also, only when I asked after saying I have CD did the server tell me that the corn tortillas are cooked on the same surface as wheat flour tortillas. This is apparently another change since last time. New chef or kitchen manager? Having gotten sick too many times, I now ask every time about every restaurant item. Food is plentiful and yummy, we do love to come here. They have many GF options to choose from, all indicated, which beats out most of the area restaurants; just can't entirely relax and assume GF is 100% safe.
Yes
Not a good idea. I ordered off the GF menu and after 20 minutes, the waitress said that items on the GF menu had a "touch" of soy sauce!!! Are you kidding me!?!?

I've been to this restaurant twice now. Both times I've got the steak fajitas made with corn tortillas. They were excellent! The tortillas were soft but did not tear easily. The amount of food was well worth the price. The waitress even brought me out hard tortilla shells to eat with my own salsa after hearing I had celiacs and couldn't have the chips cooked in a shared fryer. I will definitely be back to this location! They know how to take care of people with celiacs.
Yes
Many gluten free options including quesadillas! Server very knowledgeable about GF options including gluten content in tequila.

My husband and I dined here a few minutes ago and the server basically said everything is grilled on the same surface so nothing but the quesadillas are gluten free. I have celiac disease so I am extremely cautious about eating anything that has the potential for cross contamination. Apparently they are prepared on a separate surface. We only got to that point after we told him we were going to another restaurant since he first told me I couldn't eat anything at all. We ended up staying and I got quesadilla but was nervous the whole time.

Food was great Many GF options and the waitress was very knowledgeable. She quickly told us the chips were not GF, but offered to bring out some GF taco shells that can be broken into chips. She also mentioned that they have a special key they press when entering in the order on the register to identify GF dishes.

The staff went way beyond the call of duty in explaining what was GF, what wasn't, and with what items there might be risk of cross-contamination. And in addition to the service being great, the food was delicious.

I had a nice meal there. The staff were very knowledgable and got the cross contamination issue well. A lady who I think might have been the manager ( Irish lady I didn't get her name) took the time to explain exactly what I could have and also despite some options like the fajitas appearing to be safe she told me that they were grilled on a shared grill and that the chicken was also seasoned with something not safe for is celiacs! I was able to have a meal safe in the knowledge that I was in good hands!

Helpful and knowledgeable waiter. We enjoyed our visit, and I was able to enjoy a good meal without worry.

The owner Joe was incredibly helpful to our GF daughter. He has a book with all ingredients for each item so we could be assured of no hidden gluten. The menu clearly marks GF items. We all loved the food and the staff was fantastic!
I had the Arizona quesadilla and it was great! (Didn't get sick afterwards). The owner came over and described in great detail about the frying situation as well as what I can and can not eat there depending on my sensitivity. Definitely try it out! (It was around $17 for my meal. The rest of the meals ranged in $10-22 range)

Amazing!!!! I called the restaurant ahead of time and the manager was so helpful. Very knowledgeable about what contained gluten as well as cross contamination risks. They have a very large gluten free menu including seafood enchiladas and several quesadillas. They use a shared fryer for their chips but the manager brought out several hard corn taco shells and a dish of salsa for my son to have before his meal. This will definitely be a restaurant that we visit again on our next vacation to the beach.

Again one of our most favorite places to visit for gluten-free food! It takes us about 40 minutes to drive there but totally worth it. Friendly staff, clean environment! Would give 10 stars!

Had a bunch of different gf options, the food was absolutely delicious and I did not feel even a little bit sick afterwards. Would definitely go back here again!

menu is clearly labeled with GF options. chips are fried in a shared fryer so best to avoid. staff are very knowledgeable about GF. had the chicken enchiladas and they were fantastic....
The menu is clearly marked and the staff is definitely educated on gf. Although I did not really care for the meat in my tacos it had a lot of seasoning in it!
Yes
I'm not a big fan of Mexican food in general, but I would definitely go back here! Many GF options, I didn't get glutened, and even at 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon we had to wait for a table, which is always a good sign. I ordered the duck tacos, and they were delicious!
Yes

Great menu, very knowledgeable staff and good food! They always take care of me whenever I go there. I'm very sensitive to gluten and have never had a problem after eating here. One of my favorite places to eat!
Excellent gluten free menu choices! They are easy to point out on the menu. Try the Locos Crab Enchiladas! They're outstanding! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Delaware! Highly recommended for gluten free eaters.
Excellent! Nice selection of gluten free items! Staff took the time to explain what is GF and what to avoid. Most of all everything was wonderful and tasty!
The meal was great the service was amazing we would come back again
Clearly defined gluten free menu and very knowledgable wait staff! Food was delicious and we were well taken care of! Highly recommend!
