I have Celiac and have to be very careful what and where I eat. I have severe reactions to even small amounts of gluten. I was excited but afraid to eat here. they told me the owner has Celiac. So it made me feel a little bit better. There menu has options that can be prepared gluten free. I had the FRIED CHICKEN ; mashed potatos and collard greens. Huge servings. breast thigh and leg. It was Awesome!! And I didn't get sick.Yeah!! they also have a dedicated fryer... woo hoooo!! And the wine was great too... I will be back!!!

Awesome gf fried chicken! My highly sensitive daughter has eaten here twice with no symptoms. I would have given the entire meal four stars but we had a few waiters due to one going off duty so I was given my husband's beer rather than my gf cider I ordered. We switched upon figuring out and luckily I didn't suffer any symptoms.

Love this place! They remember my gluten allergy when I make a reservation and even ask "are there anymore allergies we should be aware of?" The fried chicken and collard greens are off the hook. Great brunch menu also. I always feel safe eating here.

First time we ate here it was GREAT. Chicken was juicy and tasty and best of all gluten free. But these last two times I have gotten sick. I'm celiac and I did tell the waiter. I do not get sick right away and when I do I'm just trying to get home rather than call them back. Not sure if the chef is the same? I was so happy to finally find fried chicken but now I don't think we are going back. Not worth the consequences.

Amazing gf fried chicken! The staff was really nice and willing to accommodate. They make the chicken in a separate fryer but it does take 20+ mins to make it.

Love love love this place. The owner of the company is actually Celiac so it's a big deal for them. The gluten free fried chicken is fried in a dedicated fryer (although it takes about 25 minutes to cook, more if it's busy) and is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. The staff there is also super friendly, and I will definitely be going back there.

Terrific experience. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about celiac disease and took great care of me. The plate my boyfriend ordered was not originally gluten free but they happily modified it so I could share with him. The GF fried chicken was to die for! As were the pb&j wings! I highly recommend it!

food was great but I got glutened. I'm sure it was either the appetizer or the ketchup, which was unmarked, so I don't know the brand. I know the chicken is fried separately. I was really excited since the owner has Celiac, but slip ups in the kitchen happen. I won't be back though. Can't risk the intestinal damage and horrible symptoms.

The chicken was as good as other reviewers said t would be. The curried okra was also a excellent and the fries as well. They do have a separate dedicated fryer so no issues at all. The chef even came by to tell us all the items that could be modified to fit our needs.

The French fries were fantastic! And the fried chicken was a treat. The executive chef gave us a free taste of their wild rice pancakes that were very yummy. Definitely a great place to go out and eat safely.

Gluten free fried chicken on regular menu- made in a dedicated fryer with kitchen staff who knows how to actually do GF. It is soooo goood! The other half of their menu is seasonal and changes, and usually about half of it is naturally GF or with few modifications. You can see into the kitchen a little and hear them alerting each other to a GF order, so they take it seriously. A little pricey, but if you don't drink it isn't too bad. I think this is the only place you can get GF fried chicken, and it is glorious. The proprietor of the restaurant has Celiac disease, so GF is something they do right. Free valet parking.

Have been glutened the past 4 times I’ve eaten here. Chef comes out each time and talks about how they made sure it was gluten free & safe, unfortunately I still get sick.

I’ve eaten at MWD’s around the state regularly, and it seems they commonly have new kitchen staff regardless of location. More than once I’ve seen a newbie drop normal chicken in the “gluten free” fryer and the staff had to spend an hour cleaning the machine & reheating oil.

As much as the gesture is appreciated, you can’t truly clean a deep fryer in that short an amount of time. The amount of times I’ve been CC’d here shows.
