It's a burger joint. 3 of us ate there only one of us is celiac. I was offered gf bread and seperate dipping. Very good. But we all ordered our burgers med and came back burnt n greasy yet still pink inside. I will not return. To high priced for quality of food.
We ate here last night and the food and service were terrific. They have a huge and very impressive GF menu. Our server noticed immediately that I was looking at the GF menu and asked me if I wanted a GF roll. She brought out a delicious and very soft onion roll. I would definitely go back and recommend this place.
8/9/15 they have added GF Mac and cheese to kids menu and GF carrot cake to dessert options. 9/21/13 We've had takeout and ate at the restaurant at least a dozen times over the past year and we've had mixed experiences (missing items from takeout) but I'll bump up my rating because they appear to be improving. 10/25/12 GF rolls, separate GF menu. Not much for GF dessert except sorbet. Not much for my daughter except a burger (on GF bun). Waitress wouldn't bring out Hoodsie for her because she thought it was not GF (but it is according to Hood). 3 stars for a family 4 if you go w/o kids.
Outstanding. Probably the best GF restaurant in the Merrimack Valley.
Excellent gf options! Fantastic, knowledgable staff.
I ordered out from here and it was disappointing. The GF roll on my sandwich was stale and they forgot my sister's pizza. They also didn't give me a GF roll or oil which is why I go here.
Although Joe's offers a nice GF menu, I was not a fan of their caramelized onion rolls which is their bread alternative. My server was not very knowledgable with the gluten free options or which items of these were dairy free. Hopefully their staff will become more knowledgable and they will have other bread options soon!
I fell in love with this place instantly. I am a very sensitive celiac and was good to go here. For the first time in about 2 years I had bread and dipping oil. It was unbelievably good. They make all their own gfree bread. I had the burger with a gfree bun. Their bread and buns are some of the best gfree breads I've ever had. Burger was excellent. They had heir own gluten free menu. Just love this place!!!!!
So careful not to cross contaminate!! Give you a gf onion roll and seperate dipping oil. Food is brought over by the manager also. I had the chicken piccata with gf pasta and it was so good my mom was questioning if it was gf or not until she could taste the difference! There is gluten free done good and gluten free done right. Usually gluten free done right isn't good and gluten free done good isn't done right, somehow they managed to make it good and right! Really is not the average gluten free menu like it says!
They were great! So careful to not cross contaminate and even have GF rolls. Different shaped plates to separate too!
I was given exceptional service! My waitress was so kind, and my food was brought over by the manager. I ordered a Waldorf salad with low-cal Zinfandel dressing on the side. I didn't have the dressing, but the salad was wonderful! I was also given a a gfree onion roll (they are Gillian's brand). It was obviously microwaved, but it was still good. I was also given my own dipping oil. I didn't try it, so I don't know if it is any different from their regular dipping oil. Overall, pretty good place to eat out. Lots of options on the menu.
Love the chicken piccata with gluten free pasta. Great drinks
I love them, they are great about the gluten allergy and they use gillians rolls.
could use more gf dessert options.
One of the few places that have gluten free rolls for their burgers. Excellent staff and I will come yet again.
Excellent GF menu, and strict GF policy. The manager carried all of my dishes over while the server carried everything else, which guaranteed no cross-contamination. As soon as I ordered an entree off the GF menu, the manager came over and I asked if I wanted the GF bread & oil before my meal. Felt safe eating here, and got a great meal!
Dedicated GF menu, educated staff, GF rolls, excellent cocktails, good vibe.
The bread with the dipping oil was worth the visit. I had the scallops which were very good but if it wasn't for the bread I would have left hungry as it was a very small meal. The other diners with me weren't as happy with their meals (not gluten free meals). The salmon was dry (which I have had before and I agree) and I was told the beef dish was tough.
The food was great, plenty of gluten free options, including dessert. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and very considerate about Celiac. They brought out gluten free bread to start with--it was awesome. My young daughter is the one who has Celiac, so she was disappointed not to see gf fries, but they said they could make some for us in a pan. It was very busy, yet the manager came over and let us know he knew we were eating from the gf menu and they would take it seriously and pay special attention to our food preparation. The combination of their attention to gf needs and delicious food means we will definitely be back!
Delicious gf food! The onion-baked bulky rolls are amazing and might make you cry if you've been pining for good-quality bread since going gf. The online app is terribly problematic: don't use it. You can call in as early as 9am tho they dont open until 11:30am
I always feel safe when I eat at Joes (and haven't ever gotten sick). I've been to a lot of Joes locations in the area, and this is my least favorite, but it's still a good place to eat, especially with a big GF menu.
Our family has been eating here for years sometimes more than once a month. We have a Celiac child and she hasn't been Glutened EVER from here. Always respectful managers who bring out her food, to servers who do a really good job of understanding the cross contamination aspect of the disease. Their regular food is good as well. Just saying...
GF menu was offered as we were being seated without us even asking. We had awesome warm rolls with Parmesan dipping oil. Waiter checked to see if fries were GF but were not as he said there was no dedicated fryer. Burger was really good with garlic mashed potatoes. Lots of options here! Will be returning
One of my top two favorite places!! I've never had a bad meal or experience here. Their gluten-free bread is to die for and their gluten-free menu goes on for miles. The management is very concerned with gluten-free customers and usually bring the meals to you. I only got sick once, which was my own fault. I ordered the side of rice which has dairy in it; and I am also lactose intolerant! Whoops. Other than that there is nothing to complain about. Their takeout is just as consistent as their eat-in service. Never had any CC issues, although they sometimes forget to take cheese out of my order! The Waldorf salad and Grilled Chicken Sandwich are my favorites! Highly recommended.
Chef brought out my meal. Waitress was also knowledgable and brought me out separate bread and oil (which was delicious- that was enough to get me to come back). Pasta was good- but I wasn't in love with the sauce. Pretty sure that was a palate thing and had nothing to do with how it was made. Menu is rather small, I'll be back!
Amazing!! They are super on top of gluten free - they have a really extensive separate menu, and actual bread and dipping sauce! The waitress was incredibly accommodating and great at service. The Mac and cheese and carrot cake were especially good. Definitely will return.
Used to be great but the last 5 or so times I have gotten sick. The manager is supposed to bring out the food but this hasn't been happening lately.
On 10.3.15, I ordered the Gluten free green machine pesto pasta to go. While my meal was labeled gf and with my first name, within an hour of eating, I was violently ill with obvious gluten poisoning. It became so bad, I passed out and my husband called 911. I was in the ER for hours as they attempted to control my symptoms and rehydrate. The next day, weak but functioning, I called and described my meal. Both the chef and the manager confirmed that the gf pasta should have been a penne style, while what I ate was a curly cavatapi (sp?) full of gluten. They sent me $75 gift card, as if I would ever trust them again. Not to mention that it barely covered the cost of our meal, to say nothing of copays for ER and ambulance ride. No one ever followed up with me, either to discuss how we can put checks and balances in place so this never happens to anyone else. Appalling. Please do not take your life into your hands by eating here.
My girlfriend is gluten sensitive, lactose intolerant and, has colitis. we went looking for a place that is gluten friendly after seeing the menu online. the waitstaff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. any food for a person with an allergy of any kind is cooked on a separate grill that is dedicated just for persons with allergies. overall best restaurant experience of my life.
YOU GUYS. This place is unreal. Fresh, delicious bread, ridiculously good food, and even a dessert option or two. I was so grateful to have such an amazing meal I was nearly in tears. And they were VERY careful, even announcing with my entree, "no gluten has been near this dish." Can't wait to come back.
