I just have to tell you about the incredible experience I had at Not Your Average Joes in Hyannis today. They have a decent gf menu with gf onion rolls for sandwiches. However, I also have allergies to onions and garlic. I ordered the chicken piccata with gf pasta. The manager came out to clarify my specific issues and told me the gf breadcrumbs have garlic and onions, as does the sauce. He spoke to the chef, who made a special gf chicken piccata for me! And it was absolutely delicious and the portion was huge! They went above and beyond and they deserve to be recognized for it. If you haven’t been there, give them a try.

I brought my son here because it said they have a gluten free menu. Our waiter was wonderful, however my son wound up getting very sick from what I assume was cross contamination.

They do not have a gluten free menu. According to the manager, the FDA advised them to use the term “gluten sensitive” in lieu of “gluten free” and they have a big disclaimer at the top that they can’t guarantee no gluten will be in the food. The manager mentioned it was largely because some ingredients may come into contact with gluten in the manufacturing process.

Save yourself the trouble and don’t eat here. I got guilted into eating here by my family because I trusted that they still had a gluten free menu and we drove like 45 minutes to find a safe option for me. The food made me sick. This place is definitely no longer safe for people with Celiac Disease, though it’s likely fine for folks with gluten sensitivity.

This is a great option for the whole family. There is a fairly extensive menu with sandwiches, entrees, and salads. I got the mustard chicken and my husband got the breaded fish. Both were delicious! My chicken was super moist and reminded of the non-GF breaded chicken my grandmother used to make. His fish was super flaky. The restaurant has a nice clean atmosphere and we had a manager bring out our food. We felt the GF needs were taken seriously and would definitely go back!

Had a good choice of GF options. Waitress was new and she said she wasn't sure about some things but was willing to find out for us. Brought a separate dipping dish with the GF roll. It was warm and tasty. Food was okay overall.

The staff was knowledgeable. My son had a cheeseburger and mashed potatoes. He loved having a GF roll to start the meal. They do not have a dedicated fryer so no French fries. Menu was extensive! Would def go back!

I have gluten and dairy and they were excellent to deal with. Separate gluten free menu and gluten free rolls to start! I would definitely recommend.

The gluten free menu was extensive. The waitress was very attentive of my food restriction which was very reassuring. I had a gf roll, the haddock with mashed potatoes and peas, everything was delicious and didn't get sick. I was really impressed. Would definitely come here again when I visit the Cape!

My wife and I went there for lunch. My wife has Celiac and it is often very difficult to dine out on Cape Cod for that reason. This place was great, starting with a dedicated Gluten free menu. There are many excellent choices. The waitress, nothing that my wife had the gluten free menu asked if we wanted bread and informed my wife that they had gluten free roll if she would like that. Two different servers brought the bread and roll to the table with different shaped dishes containing their dipping sauce so as to avoid cross contamination. The same routine was followed when presenting the entrees. They definitely pay attention and the food was great. Bravo for the attention to detail.

Harvest Mac & Cheese (without the bread crumbs) is delicious. However, I had to send back the quesadilla. The tortilla was too hard and tough to chew. They have a burger but no sides to go with it.

They were amazing! Brought me my own GF bread with my own oil to dip. First place I have gone to since my diagnosis that has GF menu!

My family has been eating at Not Your Average Joes for years, and when I was recently diagnosed with a gluten intolerance, we found out about the gluten free menu! There are so many great options and even some you won't find on the regular menu! They also give you a really good gluten free roll. I'd highly recommend the salads, the gluten free chicken picatta, or the pesto gnocchi (not sure if this was a summer special or not.)

Great choice for those needing gf Manager delivers the gf food separately and our waiter was so knowledgable and efficient. They start you with gf bread and dipping oil which was very good. Scallops are perfectly cooked. Finished evening with carrot cake that although waiter said was from outside vendor was Delish and we had no issues. Highly recommend!

Our family has been eating here for years sometimes more than once a month. We have a Celiac child and she hasn't been Glutened EVER from here. Always respectful managers who bring out her food, to servers who do a really good job of understanding the cross contamination aspect of the disease.

Their regular food is good as well.

I have Celiac Disease and was told to try this out. First time I went I was glutened, the waiter made a mistake. I was sent a gift card and urged by the manager to try it again... Glutened again. I'll never go here Again!

Amazeballs. They take GF seriously. Manager personally delivers all GF food. They have delicious GF bread and bring you your own dip, to avoid cross contamination. Dedicated grill space and they will change fryer oil if you want GF fries.

Typical gf bun/burger fare. No one got sick so successful trip to a restaurant located in a mall.

Special GF Menu had a good variety. Everything was delicious. I'm also Dairy Free and the staff was careful to let the kitchen know this. My plates were even delivered separately by the manager so that I would feel comfortable knowing it was handled especially for me versus the rest of my table. Definitely recommend this place

The food/service was so good here, the manager came over and told us what went through in the kitchen. The GF bread was awesome and the regular food was amazing. The food came fairly fast and they definitely knew what gluten free is! The best part is that I didn't get sick after. 5/5

Loved the GF bread and oil here! Don't get the Ahi tuna roll, it comes out hot. So weird.

My server didn't know what gluten was since he was too concerned to give me the bacon I ordered for my cheese burger and asked me if I was sure I could have it. At least he was concerned.

This place is defiantly Aces in my book. I ordered the chicken piccata. It was absolutely delicious.

Awesome GF experience here. The manager served me personally to differentiate my order from my non-GF wife's. Excellent onion dinner roll, and plenty of GF options on a separate menu.

We love this restaurant! They made my son fresh potato cut French fries pan fried separately. Lots of options and everyone is so helpful!

One of my favorite gluten free menus. The onion rolls and olive oil/herb dip are such a great way to start the meal. If I did not know it was GF I would not have known the difference. Large gluten free menu. I had a hamburger which was served hot and delicious. A manager brings every gluten free item to the table which makes me think they have a very good understanding of cross contamination and take no chances.

Loved the gluten-free caramelized onion roll with garlic and oil dip. The quesadillas were also good with an unexpectedly yummy jalepeno and pineapple salsa. Martin, our server, was very attentive and helpful.

Great experience here. Staff was super knowledgeable and asked about allergies right after seating us. Waitress got me a gluten free menu after I told them about being Celiac. Waitress also knew I couldn't have fries because of cross contamination. I got the mustard crusted BLT. It was definitely safe and gluten free. Tasted fine, not amazing. Green beans as a side were so good though. The menu had a ton of other options. Everything is pretty pricey, but it was nice to know I could eat my meal safely! Would definitely go back and try something else.

I always have a great experience here they are always on top of it with allergies asking upon everyone ordering. As soon as I made them aware of my allergy they brought AMAZING GF bread rolls with separate dipping oil and a gluten free menu. The GF menu has lots of options. Personally I get the kids GF Mac and cheese and it comes in an adult portion absolutely perfect !
