I 've had Pei Wei at the Minneapolis airport and love it. I was very excited to see it was here. Unfortunately, they were closed at 8p. they were the only restaurant closed on the concourse. Very dissappointed. I did get a good GF meal at ChopHouse, but very pricey.
Horrible experience. Their menu clearly marked an item as GF. I ordered it and had a few bites. It didn't taste right, so I returned to the counter. I was scolded that I had to request the item GF, even though there was no indication a request was needed. The menu clearly stated GF, not a GF option. Took a lengthy time for a cash refund. Be careful out there.
Happy to find a pei Wei where I've successfully ordered before in other locations. Only one option (spicy chicken) but it hit the spot. Food court option but freshly made. Near gate e-11
Everyone seemed very skeptical of my request to make sure it was cooked in a clean pan. We'll see how I feel....
They only have two options, but when you are hungry at the airport it's better than anything. They cooked it in a clean wok and were understanding of my gluten allergy.
Before having to go GF I used to get takeout from PF Changs or Pei Wei (owned by same company and similar menu) weekly. I honestly couldn't tell a difference in taste when I had to start ordering the GF spicy chicken from either menu. One of my favorite meals. Never had a problem getting sick either.
The food was good. It is true there weren't that many options but I've come to expect that and frankly it is easier. I do not agree that it was reasonably priced though; a little expensive. The reason for only three stars is because they made me wait while they made everyone else's food, even people who came in after me, because they didn't want to have to stop to clean the pan. How about getting a dedicated gluten free pan? !!!
Had GF sweet and sour chicken here and it was great! Only complaint was that we ordered take out and my mom order regular sweet and sour chicken. They did not label mine GF. We could only tell because she got fried rice and I got brown.
fantastic gf spicy chicken! and gf soy sauce too#. Great service!
One of our family's favorites. Limited options with gluten free, but very tasty options. We do take out a lot.
Take out is great here. I am gluten-intolerant and so I have had good luck with the food here. I always get the GF spicy chicken/shrimp with rice on the side. And the GF chicken spring rolls are great also.
The gluten free menu is small, but we actually thought that the sweet and sour chicken was phenomenal!! We talked to the manager and she explained how separate the gluten free food is and how she watches over them to make sure no cross contamination happens. She was very kind and understanding. We will DEFINITELY be back soon! REMEMBER: NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU THE LETTUCE WRAPS ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE!!!!!!!!!!!
The food was pretty tasty. I ordered the spicy chicken and shrimp and it was nice to have something breaded again. The first time I ate here it was great, but the second time I got sick.
Being a celiac i would say this isnt the safest place to eat for those who have such a disease. However, it is very delicious with no after effects of pain for me when i went and ordered gf spicy chicken with rice. The gf sweet and sour chicken is also great but after a while it becomes too sweet with such HUGE portions Fairly good place to eat, simple and delicious.
The salad rolls are always safe for us but we have had issues with the gf sweet and sour chicken
The cashier who greeted us was not helpful. We requested a gf menu and were directed to a computer screen to order for ourselves. There was a piece of paper taped to the side of the screen with a couple of gf options listed. However, we can't have dairy either and no one was interested in talking to us about how the food was prepared and if it was ok for us. We left without ordering anything.
I ordered from their gluten free menu but they didn't make my meal gluten free and I got sick. I called to check and they verified that they didn't bother to make my meal gluten free despite my having specified it in ordering. I got an apology and an offer for a free meal from the girl who answered the phone after I ate my takeout, but how can I trust them when I've done everything I can to order right? My husband & kids love their food, but I'm reluctant to give them another chance.
Their food is good but they screw up your order 3/4 times and I have gotten sick from them multiple times.
Perhaps they're better now, but I stopped eating here after I was served regular sweet and sour chicken. I was nearly certain it was not GF because of the way the breading looked. I asked twice if it was correct and was assured it was. Halfway through, a food runner came out and told me they "may" have given me the wrong order. Never again. Disappointing because I've never had an issue at PF Changs.
Ask for the GF menu. Menu is limited, but has about six decent options. Everything is cooked separately in designated pans with designated oil for GF only! They have GF soy sauce, as previous review mentioned. Nice to have this as a speedier option when needed.
not a good selection if you are a celiac not sure how well they understood the risks of cross contamination and my meal had to be remade as it was wrongly prepared with wontons initially.
This is one of my go-to places. Always prompt, knowledgeable service and yummy food.
GF items available. I had the GF Sweet & Sour chicken & the Vietnamese rolls & my husband got sesame chicken. Everything was delicious. Would definitely eat here again if I was in town.
Excellent customer service. I let them know that I was ordering gluten free to go. Made sure I knew my gluten free options. Love to go to Pei Wei's. Will be back soon. Wish it was closer. It's an hour away. Also made sure that I had gluten free soy sauce. He took that extra step.
Menu was very limited only about 5 items to choose from. I ordered the Pei spicy chicken with white rice and it was amazing, veggies were fresh and it was a good size portion of food. I would definitely eat there again.
So I'm giving them two stars because my celiac daughter absolutely loves the sweet-and-sour chicken. We eat at Pei Wei a lot. The reason for two stars is because every single time I go in to any of their locations they seem to be absolutely clueless about gluten-free. They actually have two other locations that I do not see on this app relatively close by. So at all of their locations they never seem to have any idea of what to do. At the location in Coral Gables near Miracle Mile I had to explain step-by-step to the cook at that time what he was supposed to do and not supposed to do. I really never trust that they are doing what they're supposed to do which makes me very worried. Gluten-free is not a choice for my daughter. It's her health! I hope the company gets their act together.
Eating a gluten free diet, going on 7 years now, I have definitely tasted quite a few gluten free menus. This being said, I definitely have to give Pei Wei's gluten free menu a two thumbs up. Their food is absolutely delicious, and comes in very good portions for a great price. They also cook all your choices separate, so there is no chance of contamination. Will definitely return.
