For some reason I always have a reaction when I eat here. My reactions range in severity from minor inflammation to painful headache. I can't say for certain whether gluten is the issue, but it seems there are definitely some inflammatory ingredient included in the dishes - perhaps peanut oil or unknown preservatives.
This location is no longer safe. The chef has been replaced and the GM either doesn't care anymore or is new. 3 visits in a row my meal came out with gluten containing ingredients on it. The 3rd time I got glutened because I didn't see it til it was too late. All three times the server gave me attitude for sending it back, and the manager on duty did not make the situation right. Do Not Go Here! ------------ I eat here very frequently and am a celiac. of the tens of times in the last year I have eaten here I've never had a problem. all staff are extremely well trained and know how to handle gf requests with out issue. not once have I worried about my food, it is always stress free and like ordering as a 'normal' person. Lol safe and tasty option. always a good option in Boca. even when they are busy as can be.
I like them now. I didn't earlier. They screwed up once several months back but now they know me & are sure to get me gluten free soy sauce. I am also sure to say I want gluten free very loudly so there is no misinterpretation. They made up for it as best they could with free meals. As a hungry college student I decided to risk it again & luckily haven't had problems with them since.
**This review was from my last visit in late April '15, I thought I had posted a review but I guess I didn't finish it since I was writing it while I was sick. ** I don't know what happened to either this spot or PF Chang's as a whole, but I got extremely sick after eating at this location. I was eating at only dedicated GF establishments and this PF Chang's, and I can say without a question of a doubt it was the meal that I received while at this location. In fact this was the last time I had a meal at a non dedicated GF restaurant/business. I am done with putting my health at risk, I'm done with trying to figure out who, what, where got me sick. And most importantly I'm done with establishments like this not taking Celiac Disease serious or treating it like a fad diet.
some gluten free options , make sure you ask for gluten free soy sauce
Good GF menu-lots of options. Server was very nice and seemed aware of what was GF and not.
The gluten free menu is very large. They have special plates and menus for gluten free. My whole family enjoys the food!!
nothing blah about their gf menu. this is our go to restaurant when I don't feel like cooking. their attention to detail, special plates for gf, large gf menu and delicious food makes this one of our favorite gf spot.
While they do have a GF menu and I was offered GF soy sauce (actually the dumpling sauce), their food is bland. Edible but blah.
Good food, also price too
This business has now severely reduced the gluten-free options we've loved for years and now has a gluten-free menu you have to ask for instead. Only one dish suits my allergy situations and it was too salty. Very sad to see such changes. They still claim to have the specific gluten-free prep area but the menu is definitely lacking.
Chinese in Nashville is not that great, making pf changs one of the best Chinese restaurants around. They have a fairly good GF menu and were careful with preparation and service. They have gf soy sauce. They have a gf desert. Just wish they had more gf soup options - as I miss hot and sour soup!
I love their menu! Always delicious and safe to eat. Thank you PF Changs!
This restaurant knows what they are doing for gluten free eating!! The plates and sauce bowls are marked differently so you know what's gluten free and regular! Our service was amazing!! Highly recommended to anyone who loves Chinese food! It's been 2+ years since I've had any Chinese food!!
always tasty, never have any problems with cross-contamination. pay a little extra for the peace of mind, but worth it.
Wow, this was my favorite restaurant as it used to have many gluten free options. Well they just got a new menu and the gluten free items are not in it. They have a separate gluten free menu with less than half of the options they had before. I'm so disappointed!!! Well I guess I will not be eating here much all my favorites are gone !
I used to love this place. I had never had a problem with it until my last time there. I got my order (takeout) with the little gluten-free sticker and was satisfied. It tasted no different but my stomach hurt more and more with every bite. I was up all night vomiting and was violently ill for a week and never have risked going back. In their defense, my mom still eats here as a Celiac and has minimal problems.
I had never been to a PF Changs before but I really wanted Chinese. I didn't feel safe ordering form a local place. The Chinese food in Nashville kind of sucks anyway. I read online that PFC has a great gluten free menu. I figured we'd give it a shot. It was actually really good! The food is safely and carefully prepared and comes out on special plates so you know they're paying attention. I thought that was really interesting. I had egg drop soup and chicken fried rice. We didn't have room for dessert, but they had two gluten free options we may try next time! I'm glad we decided to stop by here. My stomach feels totally fine and the food was tasty. So I'm calling this one a success.
Consistently good service, nice atmosphere. Dedicated GF menu makes it EASY. No need to try to explain things to your server. They have trained kitchen & staff in GF procedures. On the down side, serving sizes have gotten smaller. So, be sure to sign up for the rewards program to get bigger bang for your buck.
Food was very good. I had the beef and broccoli with veggie fried rice from the gluten free menu. It was delicious. The food took 1 hour on Sunday night. Service was slow but this is a good place for a gluten free meal. So I'm giving my rating based on the food not the experience.
Love the food. Lettuce wraps and pork fried rice are my favorites! Wish they had entire menu gluten free!
We either eat here or get takeout several times a month. It's the safest restaurant we've found for my celiac disease in the area. The staff has always been super courteous and even anxious to make sure there's zero cross contamination for me. The food is always great too!
It's my birthday. My husband wanted to take me out. We researched and he called the manager before making reservations...and we went to PF Changs. I ordered the shrimp in lobster sauce....the waitress is super attentive and sweet. I'm approximately three bites away from finishing my plate when the head chef and the waitress come out and tell me the new cook used the water to wash the regular noodles in the sauce to make my dish. Our entire meal was free, they profusely apologized, the waitress cried, the manager gave me a free gluten free dessert to take home, and gave me her card to tell me they were reporting the incident and to call if I got sick. 30 minutes later and I'm incapacitated with stomach cramps and anxiety. I look like I'm 9 months pregnant even though I'm a size 6. I am I AM IN SO MUCH PAIN. I took my glutenade before eating and my digestive enzymes immediately afterwards to no avail. I did everything I was supposed to do and someone's carelessness is destroying my health. THEY NEED TO LEARN THIS IS NOT AN ALLERGY!!! This is an autoimmune disease!!
They go out of their way to make sure us gf folks are taken care of. Everything from appetizers to dessert!
This was one of the best places to eat here in Vegas, especially if you have celiacs! They have special plates for the gluten free food and have a separate spot for the kitchen! It was such a great experience because the water was so knowledgable and the food was delicious!
Server and restaurant were excellent with celiac. They use a special wok for all GF meals. They use special plates to indicate the different meals. No problems with getting gluten by mistake. However, a non GF meal was also sereved on a GF plate. Not all restaurant staff is aware.
Has several gf entrees. My entree was huge and delicious. It's located inside the airport and was a nice place to rest between flights.
This PF Chang's is amazing. I eat here often and I love that everyone has knowledge of the gluten free menu. I always know I'm safe when I eat here!
My wife has Celiac and we've eaten here on a regular basis (twice per month, both done-in & take-out) without her getting sick. They have a solid selection of GF menu options, and several are very tasty. Our favorite is the Chang's spicy chicken with GF egg-drop soup. Staff knowledge of GF/Celiac can be spotty, but if you ask the right questions & emphasize the importance, they get it right.
Excellent variety of delicious fresh Asian inspired dishes. I love the Mongolian Beef and Shanghai Cucumbers. Gluten Free options are on main menu. Make sure you ASK for the items gluten free as they have the same items on regular entrees.
We just had an excellent meal. I had the spicy chicken and my husband had Mongolian beef. He ordered from the gluten free menu so we could share. The waitress was great and the staff knowledgeable. We'll be back again.
Had a great experience here. I'm celiac and did not get sick. A bit pricey, but hey, you're in an airport. Great to have a safe place at Detroit airport.
Very very good. I have celiac and no reaction. They have a gluten free section in the menu. Service was slow, but food was really good.
