Some of the best steak we have ever had. It was delicious! They have a great gf selection. Though if you want something fried you need to call 30 minutes ahead of your arrival, so they can start the dedicated gf fryer. Many reviewers mentioned the delicious desserts. Unfortunately, they didn't have any when we went around lunch time so I can't rave about them. The staff was very helpful and friendly!

Just finished another delicious meal here! 2nd time we've been here and the first time I remembered how delicious the gravy was so I had to have it again. Owner has celiac and is very kind, makes all the gluten free meals himself and delivers it to the table! Get to try a brownie tonight!!

Great to go somewhere they totally understand how to prevent cross contamination! Not only a dedicated cooking area and fryer, but only one chef handles the GF cooking. Cream gravy made with garbanzo flour and he uses a super fine rice flour for the fried breading. They recommend calling an hour in advance so they can make sure the dedicated fryer is hot enough

I love this place! Owner is a dream come true for Celiac foodies! He knows the struggle and makes sure our needs are met. Down home cooking with a separate fryer for gluten free items. Gluten Free Breading allows us to eat fried green tomatoes, chicken fried meats complete with gravy and more. Owner, Dave, sometimes bakes GF pies in his private dedicated home kitchen; on occasion he has one of them available for customers.

I have celiac disease and never in my life have I been able to eat a chicken fried steak with cream gravy without being very ill afterwards. My grandfather died this week and I was really craving chicken fried steak because I needed some comfort food. My husband found this place and the owner has severe gluten intolerance and takes this very seriously. I just had the best meal and even pie! I have absolutely no symptoms or signs of being glutened! I am so happy I found this place! The owner and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable I highly recommend this place! Give them a call about 30 minutes prior so that they can get the gluten free fryers set up and ready to go for you! Thank you, Mr. Ross, you are a great chef and a gift!

I read the previous reviews so I decided to stop. So glad that I did! I had fries, and chicken fingers. I called ahead so they heated up the gluten-free fryer so that it was ready when I got here. They have homemade ranch, barbecue sauce, and gravy. Food is very good

Best Thanksgiving Dinner ever. I was able to enjoy everything that everyone ate with out me having to leave out some of the most important parts of the meal. They are extremely knowledgeable, care about being careful. It was one of the best dinners I've had. Service was also amazing.

Perfet. Great staff seperate kitchen space including fryer. Best to call ahead so they can prep their kitchen foe the GF order. Was told they can custom make the desserts with week notice.

This place is amazing! Make reservations and tell them about gluten sensitivity. Dave, the owner, has been gf for almost 20 years. He shared his breading and gravy secrets, and told us about other restaurants with good and safe GF options! We had fried green tomatoes, fried cactus, chicken fried steak, calf fries, and it was all amazing! The gravy is something special! Definitely scratched an itch for my wife, who has celiac. Highly recommended!

If you are driving along I-35 and want a GF taste of Texas, this is your place!! We have multiple dietary restrictions, including gluten free, dairy free, and an allergy to black pepper. The amazing staff took all restrictions very seriously. They even made a gluten and dairy free gravy.

Every person on the staff was nice and wanted to make sure that we all got to “enjoy everything!”

The owner has celiac and takes cc very seriously. Staff was well trained. There is a separate fryer and prep area.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They even held a Gluten Free Thanksgiving. MUST have reservations. Dave, the owner is the one who is gluten sensitive. Call 30 mins ahead for the fryer to be warmed. They also have GF buns for burgers.

This place definitely delivered. We called 30 minutes ahead of time so they were able to get the fryer going. The fried green tomatoes were amazing.

The chicken fried steak was ok, but being able to eat safely out here is great in it of itself.

This place is such a hidden gem! As mentioned in other reviews, giving them at least a 30 minute heads will allow them to get the GF fryer going and reduce your wait time. The friendly owner is celiac and takes all the necessary precautions to provide tasty GF fare: well-trained staff, separate prep area, and separate fryer. My non-GF friend and I both got to enjoy some delicious, coma-inducing fried green tomatoes and chicken-fried steak with gravy.

Very knowledgeable, staff was fantastic and the food was outstanding! Fried green tomatoes, chicken fried steak with gravy, hand cut fries. The food was so fresh( steak was hand cut in the back just before cooking). Just give them about 20 min notice you are on the way if you want fried food. Hubby had non gf chicken fried steak and decided mine was better than his!

My husband and I were excited to find this gem with gluten free options for me. I had the chicken fried steak with gravy and veggies, all gf. He had a cheeseburger and fries. All was fresh, hot, and delicious. If you are wanting the gf and know what time you are coming call so they can get the separate fryer going so there won't be a long wait. Highly recommend and we will be back!

So came here on Monday and back again on Friday. Owner can’t eat gluten, so everyone is well trained!! Everything you never get to eat - right here! Chicken fried steak and gravy, fried green tomatoes, you name it!

What a diamond in the rough! The owner is gluten intolerant and has separate area for all gluten free food. The staff was incredible and the food was excellent! We ordered the chicken fry and chicken strips with gravy. By far one of the best chicken fried steaks we’ve ever had.... gluten free or not! If you order anything fried you need to call them 30 min ahead of time so they can heat the separate fryers. Please give this place a try, you won’t be sorry! The owner came and visited with us and shared his story. We were blessed to find this diamond! Thank you Dave and Lexi, You made our night!!!

Another great gluten free meal!! Chicken fried steak with best gravy EVER! Owner Dave was sweet enough to make more gravy for me to take home with my leftovers. (Order the big one, you'll want to take some with you!) Topped it all off with Gluten free Apple pie. Yum!!!

I had a baked potato and GF chicken tenders. Both were really good. As the previous reviews stated, call ahead for reservation. They have a dedicated fryer.

Very pleased here! The owner spoke with my friend and I BEFORE we ordered as well as after our food was served. Being a celiac himself he takes cross-contamination very seriously. Here you will get more that grilled meats or salad. You will be able to eat foods that you couldn't eat at any other restaurant. Fried green tomatoes.... Chicken fried steak, etc.

Amazing! We ordered the chicken fried steak and the owner came out to ask if we had any other allergies. We told them my husband didn't tolerate dairy well either and they made the gravy with coconut milk! Portions were huge! And pricing was VERY reasonable!! We did call and let them know we were on the way- they said they would start the separate fryer so that it would be ready for our GF meals.

Dave (the owner) is a celiac and knows the frustration of eating out safely. He has trained his staff in the importance of no cross contamination, the preparation and serving of gluten free glory. The chicken fried steak and gravy is amazing. If you want it fried, the folks at ponder can do it for ya. Call ahead for reservations and just let them know you need a gluten free entree. They also have gluten free desserts.
