Delicious!! Shrimp and grits were so good and so was the fried shrimp. Loved the shoe string fries too. No gf menu, server will tell you what can be done gf. Basically almost anything fried can be done.

Almost everything could be gluten free. They have a separate gluten free fryer and can fry anything gluten free. We got the fried green tomatoes and fried calamari made gluten free. My family, who is not gf, was raving about how good their food was. MAKE A RESERVATION!!

A great spot on the water and great atmosphere. They have a dedicated fryer for gluten free items, and use a rice based batter for anything fried. They have many options on their menu, though it is not marked. The waiter was helpful with pointing out what was safe, and making sure he let the kitchen know about the celiac. I had GF pan friends cod with potatoes and vegetables and it was really good. My son had salmon with potatoes and he said he was really good as well. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!

So so happy with our visit here! They can make almost anything on their menu GF and they have dedicated fryers for those with allergies. Not only that, but the portion of fish I got was huge! Plenty of food for sure. I ordered the fried fish (cod), shoestring fries, and coleslaw. It was all absolutely delicious and plenty to eat. I didn’t order any, but they also have alligator tail and a GF dessert. I’ll be ordering those next time I go. Delicious food, knowledgeable staff, and the outside patio was beautiful by the water. So excited about this place!

Absolutely love this place!! They have gluten free better which almost made me want to cry with joy. I had fried fish and fried gator tail - both were incredible and it is the first gator tail I’ve found that wasn’t chewy! Absolutely divine, will be back! Staff was also knowledgeable and friendly and the outdoor seating is perfect.

I am GF / DF. I was excited to read the reviews about the GF fried fish. I was hoping for a fried fish sandwich which is hard to find that’s GF. They don’t have gluten free bread! Plus they were not sure if their tarter sauce had dairy in it or not. So I had the fried fish and scallops with cocktail sauce. They also had GF shoe string fries. All of it tasted just ok and was safe - no bad reactions. I left disappointed wishing I could have had a better meal.

They do a great job with gluten allergy but not so much with gluten and dairy allergies which we are. No gluten free bun to substitute, there are dairy in many of the items.

Food is delicious, seafood is very fresh.
They do not have a dedicated GF menu, but that is because they can do nearly everything on the menu GF (including fried seafood as they have a dedicated fryer and GF batter!)
Every wait staff member we’ve had there has been knowledgeable about gluten restrictions and about any/all menu modifications for GF.
Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic experience! Our waitress was awesome and very knowledgeable about what could be made GF. I actually had fried clams and they were delicious! The shrimp and grits were awesome, too! Please beware, the regular fries are not GF (an earlier post showed they tested them with a Nima but our waitress told us they’re not GF); they are battered. You can order their shoestring fries. They are GF. I highly recommend.

This is a popular restaurant in St. Augustine that we just had to try. The seafood selection is extensive. The restaurant has a lot of seating options - inside, outside, and by the bar. I had really nice Ahi Tuna on a salad, which was naturally gluten free. The staff was friendly and helpful with questions about gluten free options.

We loved Fish Camp! We had salad and oysters and took our own crackers.

Great, safe experience here! While there is not a dedicated allergen menu available, our server knew the available safe options for my limitations. (I am allergic to dairy, eggs and gluten, so I’m not always easy to feed!). She thought up some ideas for me based on the specials or items from the menu and eliminated others and was very knowledgeable about ingredients in sauces and preparations in the kitchen. There is a GF fryer and the kitchen staff seemed unfazed by my order. My server did go back and verify with the staff a question that we had on ingredients just to be sure, which is always appreciated!
After all, I ended up having some fish with some sautéed spinach (done in olive oil and garlic) with some shoe string potatoes that were sooo tasty. I wasn’t even the tiniest bit sick and with three allergies, that is saying something.
Eating out while on vacation with food allergies is so scary, but Fish Camp and their amazing staff made my worries disappear and I was able to enjoy a great place with my family and a nice dinner too. 10/10

Great seafood place that can fry their seafood in a separate gluten free fryer. I had fried shrimp, shoe string fries and salad. My friend had GF clams. Both mess were great. This restaurant has a “sister” place at Jacksonville Beach called North Beach Fish Camp. A great place as well. Will co e again if in the area.

I had the fried shrimp and fried fish and it was amazing! I had forgotten what fried fish tasted like! It came with shoestring fries and coleslaw, both good as well. And the service was wonderful. My husband had the spicy shrimp linguini (not gluten free) and said it was alright, just too garlicky.

This restaurant was such a treat for my daughter, who had never had fried clams or a fried seafood basket before due to being celiac. She loved it. My shrimp and grits were the best I ever had. The server was knowledgeable about all of the GF options, of which there are a lot (most of the menu actually). Dedicated fryer. While there is a gluten-free dessert option, there was not any that were also dairy free. I would have given them five stars, except they accidentally brought us the regular calamari instead of the gluten-free calamari. The person corrected it on their own and thankfully we hadn’t had a bite yet but it’s still concerning. I would definitely double check every time they bring something to your table.

Kim was our waitress and she was fabulous! She carefully explained all that happens from placing my order, to what happens in the kitchen, to the oversight, to receiving my meal. They have great protocols in place to keep things safe. Additionally, Kim has a GF menu in her pocket to share…it listed the specific menu items that are GF or can be prepared GF. They have a dedicated fryer which was a treat! The food was great (my husband ate non-GF food and really enjoyed)! We will definitely go back!

Ate here for my husband’s birthday. Nice new seafood house on the marina with its own parking. Takes reservations. Outside deck is first come first served. The waitress was well aware of what did or did not have gluten and indicated that the chefs take gluten allergies very seriously. Did not pass portable gluten test despite multiple attempts. Please see pictures attached. I’m seeing a lot of positive reviews for this place and surprised as it is really not a good spot in my experience for celiacs, maybe I came at a wrong time. They reassured me the food was prepared on a separate location with a separate frier. The test did not come with a light cross contamination, it came with a serious one. I am not risking my body for this. Disappointed - but again, hungry, not sick!

We ate here on our trip to St. Augustine. Our daughter has Celiacs and had the kids fried shrimp with fries. 5/10 update: we are local and ate here again. We felt just as comfortable this time when ordering. The waiter marked it as an allergy but when the food came out there was a hush puppy on my 7 year old celiacs plate. I snatched it away before he could eat anything and when the waiter saw he was mortified! Ran the plate back to the kitchen and he and the manager apologized profusely and said they had an entire meeting in the kitchen about allergies and remade him a fresh plate. I’m really happy with the restaurants ability to handle that situation and willingness to provide more awareness so it doesn’t happen in the future. We will be back, just be aware of what’s on your plate.
Really incredible experience here. GF is not labeled on the menu but waitress was extremely knowledgeable and they take allergies seriously. Dedicated fryer and separate prep space in kitchen. We found our new favorite local restaurant and I’m thrilled.

We had such a great experience here. The two of us went on an extremely busy Friday evening, sat at the bar and was so impressed with the bartender and his knowledge about handling food and their gluten free options.
We were told that most everything could be made gluten free (with the exception of things like hush puppies , croutons, etc) but the fact we could get FRIED seafood GF was so refreshing. Dedicated fryers and everything.
The staff was great, food was great and they whole operation was very well run considering how packed they were. Would definitely go back.
