There's no gluten free menu. You have to ask the counter, then the head chef comes out to talk to you. They were really nice and said they make it in a separate area in the back, so seems safe. The chef walks out the food to you when it's done. (It's cafeteria style, so you just stay by the line.) I got chicken tenders and fries. Those were amazing. Nice to have a place you can actually have fried food again. The second time I got pizza which was ok. There's also a small area with gluten free snacks like oatmeal, muffins, bread, brownies, cup noodles. I got the muffin and cup noodle, both were good. The hours are nice. You can order off the food lines until 11pm. And best of all, didn't get sick.

Being a newly GF eater, it's a shock not being able to just walk up and grab food like all the others. I chose the pizza counter and stated I needed GF and was told about 7 minutes. Chef brought it out personally to me, about 10 min wait and delicious!! very happy as first stop didn't have gf options. [hideaway]

Based on other reviews, I knew GF wouldn't be listed, so I just asked my questions of the person helping me and she validated with the chef what was GF. I just got a salad made fresh in front of me with new tongs and in a to go box. I didn't get sick and the salad was just what I needed that night!

Gluten free options were not listed on the menus but based on what I read here I thought I would give it a chance. The chef was wonderful. He came out to talk to us and happily explained what we could order and how they would be specially prepared. And it was delicious.

I was happy after reading reviews that somebody got gluten free French toast but they told me that wasn’t an option. They made me gluten free waffles and cooked my potatoes separately. They were okay but I was really looking forward to the French toast. They do have a side of snack that are gluten free like muffins and bread.
Went back for lunch and they made me a gluten free pizza. It took a while and I felt like they didn’t put any sauce on it. Wasn’t my favorite.
The chocolate muffin was by far my favorite there.

We stayed at Cabana Bay for 5 days but only ate in the Diner once. We ordered a burger and fries. A chef came out to speak to us and told us it would take 10 minutes, but it was closer to 25. The burger was huge and delicious, the GF bun was good and didn’t fall apart. It seemed like there would be a lot of options for any meal of the day and they had a large selection of GF ready to go snacks and other items as well

Great place! 5 minutes from Universal Orlando. The chef himself came and took my order. I ordered chicken nuggets with french fries and it was very good! Definitely recommend to visit there.

We had 2 gluten free pizzas from Cabana Bay. Christopher delivered them to our room and he said his niece was celiac and he was aware of the importance of keeping everything separate. He was really nice and we appreciated his willingness to talk about how the pizzas were prepared.

I have had a surprisingly amazing experience here! Spoke with the chef on my first day at the resort and he was amazing. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and was willing and able to answer any questions. He stated that virtually everything can be modified to be gluten-free. All GF food is prepared in a separate area by a chef. Only downside is having to wait longer to receive your food as they really fire through people in the food lines, but the wait isn’t the end of the world.

Much better than I anticipated from a cafeteria. The worker said everything at the International was gluten-free except the gravy. I had a pork loin dinner (the special) from the grill. I chose mashed potatoes without gravy and mixed veggies. My son had a steak with fried plantains. Everything I had was great. 3 slices of the pork and the veggies were freshly coked cooked and flavorful. My adult son said his steak was tender, and a large portion too. He said the plantains weren’t good but he had enough to eat.

Got a GF pepperoni pizza and it was just okay. While not fantastic, it hits the spot if you’re craving pizza. Most importantly, it was prepared safely (separate oven, sliced with clean utensils). I’m not sure of what other GF options are at the other venues inside.

Staff was extremely knowledgeable when I told them I had a severe gluten allergy. The manager was brought out and he informed the chef about it who put on and changed gloves for me. Knew exactly what was and wasn’t gluten free. And for those who don’t want to order fresh food, there’s a smaller gluten-free section with pre-packaged foods! Did I say the food was excellent? Well, now I did.

Stayed at Cabana Bay and have eaten breakfast and dinner here. After other reviews of the GF chicken nuggets, I ordered them as well. They are a hefty portion with fries, both from a dedicated fryer. If you don’t have a large appetite, I would suggest splitting a meal. I also ordered breakfast and asked for GF waffles, scrambled eggs (without milk) and potatoes. The chef made them and added some fresh fruit. Do not get the GF waffles. They are hard and I assume pre-made or frozen. The potatoes were good and the eggs were...eggs. Eggs and potatoes are a la carte (about $3.75 each) but came in a hefty portion. I could not finish. The GF waffles and fruit was about $8-$9 but were terrible. I almost wanted to take them back and get my $$ back but felt bad about doing so. Do not get the waffles. The chef said he could not make GF pancakes but there was a GF french toast option. I wonder if that would have been better than the waffles.
I find it inconvenient and difficult for someone to get a chef to order GF food. I feel uncomfortable waiting for someone to get the chef and then wait again for my food while others are ordering in line. People look at you like “What is this person doing?” What don’t they just have a place you can order where you aren’t in the way? I would much rather just order on a sheet, Mark all my choices and hand it off to someone. It is so frustrating and time consuming. My husband always has his non-GF food before me and it is practically cold before I receive mine. Make sure to take some extra time planning for meals knowing it will take about 10 or so minutes to wait.
You can get water from the drink stations to fill up water bottles which was nice instead of having to buy water. The cups have micro chips on the bottom to get other soda beverages from the automated machine. In Universal and IOA parks you cannot get water like at the resort so don’t count on filling up water bottles from the same machines.

There are definitely some GF safe options here they chef comes out to talk to you and makes Your meal separate if you want. They have a separate fryer and oven for the GF pizzas but they were out of GF drier while I was here so I wasn’t able to try the pizza. Did ok with the cheeseburger and fries, salad bar (they do have pasta there so I didn’t put anything on my salad that was near the pasta), roasted chicken with vegetables and rice.
Yes
For the most part, this was celiac friendly when it came to lunch/dinner. I had the fries and chicken tenders. The chef talked to me and everything. Only awkward thing is you feel like you are in the way when waiting. I recommend the gluten free muffins as well! The pizza on the other hand..first one was black and burnt. They offered another (plus a free drink to apologize) but the second was not cooked at all and mush. It was a raw and nasty tasting pizza. Neither of these meals made me sick. However, breakfast gave me a reaction. I had the gf french toast, eggs, potatoes, and sausage. I mainly ate the toast, eggs, and the potatoes. Something triggered me almost immediately and left me sick half the day. I am not sure what. But I hadn’t been sick the whole trip until that breakfast. So maybe consider sticking to the muffins!

Excellent place ! Variety of gluten free food for kids including pizza, chicken tenders and fries made especially by the chef . There is a section of Grill where everything is gluten free (roasted chicken, rice and vegetables). There’s also a section of gluten free snacks.

This place is great! The main thing is: don’t be afraid to ask!! They don’t advertise their gluten free options but they have tons: waffles, pizza, burger, chicken tenders. The staff is very helpful and the food is delicious, and I didn’t get sick once!

The Cabana Bay Beach Resort is home to the Bayliner Diner. They have a cafeteria-style set up where you can choose from a variety of cuisine types. The International Station offered roasted meats, veggies, GF chicken fingers (cooked in a separate fryer), and mac n’ cheese. If you alert a chef to your restrictions, they will prep your food separately. They also have a Grab and Go market with a wall of GF options—so you can grab snacks before heading to the park.
Yes
This place is awesome. Had gf chicken fingers, fries and mac and cheese and didn't get sick. You have to ask for the gf menu and the chef comes out and tells you what you can have and then he goes and makes it in the back. It was awesome, you can even buy a gf muffin for the next morning since breakfast is so hard to find

Very knowledgeable! Have a great range of GF foods and can make so many things. Ask for the chef they will prepare your food in back in spectate cooking area. They made my stay great!
Yes
Not a ton of options but, the chefs take the time to come out and personally talk to you about what they can do. It was nice to not have to leave the premises for a quick bite. The burgers at the bowling alley were great! Really good gf bun!
Great options and the chefs are very knowledgeable about celiac disease. We Adele safe eating here and haven’t been sick.
Very pleasantly surprised. Ask and they can fry you things in the seperate frier. Had one issue were a server was using same tongs for biscuits and bacon but promptly resolved. great gf buns. as others said bacon is wow. pizza was small but good and great prices for a resort

Pretty dire food. The coelic menu is afterthought. With pizza being the size of a hand. A lack of being creative. With a large dirty salad bar to boot.

This place saved our bacon and was such a big part of making a great vacation!!
The diner is food-court style. I learned when you go in, pick a station and wait in line (I usually did "Hot off the grill" where burgers were) to talk to an attendant -- tell them you have an allergy and need to talk to the chef. The chef will then personally make your meals -- no matter what stations they're from. During our stay, I spoke with 4 different chefs, and they were all extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly; I never felt like I was inconveniencing them.
They can make GF: Fries, chicken tenders, Mac & Cheese, pizza, shrimp, fish, steak, roast chicken, burgers, waffles, French toast, bacon and sausage to name a few. (They have dedicated fryers, cooking spaces and utensils). They also gave us the tip if we wanted to go through the yogurt bar and wanted fruit, tell the chefs that too, and they'll get the fruit from the back where there is no risk of cross-contact from double-dipping with granola.
Absolutely loved this place -- it was so convenient and really delicious. We were really worried about being on vacation for a week, and eating out so much, and this completely took that worry away! Oh and they also have GF snacks in two sections that includes brownies and chocolate muffins!
I can't thank the chefs enough - so grateful!

Out of this world for our 3yr old celiac daughter! We were so worried about our first vacation since she was diagnosed. Tell anyone there you are looking for gluten free and the chef comes out to tell you about all options. He told us they have a dedicated gluten free kitchen plus 95% of the menu could be done gluten-free. There was a special gluten-free section of snacks and brownies and fresh baked breads were delicious. We tried the hotdogs, burgers, macaroni, pizza and nuggets with fries. She loves the nuggets and mac & cheese especially because she normally doesn't get those outside of our house. Chef Peter was amazing. Thank you Loews Hotels!

Safe, talk to the chef, the pizza tasted terrible -- it only comes in a kid's size(the size of my fist) and was soggy, but everything else was great!

Very friendly and lots of gluten free options. Just needed to talk to the chef. Highly recommend this place.

Excellent service , server called Chef (Peter) he walked us very detailed through our option . Separate Fryers being used. Very safe to eat ( great food)

chef came out and gave me many options...ended up with chicken tenders and french fries made in a dedicated fryer! Delicious!

The Chef came out and personally walked through my options and ensured all was good, including making sure there was no cross contamination. In addition to celiac, I also have other allergies including soy and the service and food was fantastic!

Chef Paul came to talk to me and told me about the different options. He even showed me the section of grab and go options like muffins and breads. Very helpful

Had 4 GF meals here- Chefs came out each time and discussed options and then delivered food directly too me. We had Pizza, fries, chix tenders, waffles, and hot dog with gf bun. My 8yr old celiac loved them all. She's very sensitive and had no reactions. Can't ask for more than that!

staff friendly and helpful... dedicated area in the back to prepare gluten free ... pretty good gf bread

stayed here in August...chef came iut every day every tme of the day we came to eat and made me whatever I wanted. mac and cheese was probably the best i have had sense being diagnosed.

Bacon and sausage are GF and they'll make you fresh in the back to avoid any contamination. A lot of choices and informed staff. We were told that all but three menu items could be GF. And they bake (and package) some of their own GF items in house although they were not labeled with ingredients so you have to ask for that. So nice to find such an allergen-friendly restaurant at a resort. Really thought we'd starve during our trip.
The staff was exceptionally helpful. There were several gluten free options and they were prepared by the chef in a dedicated kitchen space in the back, separate from everything else. It made it really convenient to have the diner in our hotel. The food was not exceptionally tasty but probably appropriately priced for a resort and more importantly, safe to eat.

Kudos to this gf friendly place. My family and I have unexpectedly eaten almost every meal here because of the variety, quality and gf awareness. I've had gf roasted chicken, potatoes, burger with a gf bun, fries, tofu stir fry. My kids have had gf Mac and cheese and pizza. Very happy with this place, just talk to one of the food staff and they will help you.
