Some GF items on menu. They don’t have a dedicated fryer despite being told they did when we called. Our waitress wasn’t knowledgeable at all.

I ordered a house salad without croutons & no dressing (as the waitress said the only GF dressings were balsamic vinaigarette & oil w/ vinegar). The salad was pricey, especially for the portion I received (it was the size of a pretty small side salad with very little veggies besides lettuce). I also informed the waitress that I have a gluten allergy, not a preference, but she did not write anything down to notify the staff that I am aware of. I felt sick shortly after eating. I would not at all recommend this restaurant.

My family of 5 ate here for lunch. We had a great experience. My husband has a gluten intolerance and our twin 13 year old sons have celiac. My husband had a salad and my boys had a cheeseburger with no bun, the coleslaw and fries. Our waiter was very friendly and told us that a lot of the fish dishes can be prepared gf with no bun. He also told us that the fries on the side menu have there own fryer.

I was super excited to find a restaurant with such great ratings!! Unfortunately, our experience was mediocre at best. Our server seemed bothered to serve us. Believe me~ I understand people have bad days but this lady seemed pained to wait on us. We ordered oysters as an appetizer. Waited a good bit of time for them to come out~ no biggy. Tables around us who ordered ten-fifteen minutes were served immediately. The one positive~ the Oysters had a great taste! My fiancé ordered the shrimp salad & I ordered the tuna sandwich and was sure to say I was gluten free so please no bread because of my allergy. The food finally came out...of course my sandwich came out on a roll. My fiancé spoke up for me and informed her I could not eat that because of my allergy. She told me she could take it back and have them grill it longer to "burn" off the bread. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? No, thank you! My fiancés shrimp salad was rather skimpy for the price not to mention the stale hotdog roll it was served on. I skipped ordering anything else in fear of getting sick. Not once did she ask to refill our beverages or if she could get us anything else. She brought the check and said the sandwich had been taken off. Nope, still on the check. Hopefully we just experienced an "off" day but I would not recommend for someone who is celiac or gluten free.

Dedicated gluten free fryer for fries. Staff knowledgeable on which items are gluten free. So relaxing sitting outside on the waterfront deck.

We wandered in here upon arriving at st. Michels and our young server's sister has celiac, so she directed me to the "diet" plate of lump crab meat with fruit. I also had the potato salad which was tasty. We ate outside on the picnic tables. Smallish portions but decent option when in area, particularly if you like crab!

This restaurant on the Eastern Shore of Maryland offers many gluten-free optinons. Stop by The Crab Claw and be sure to grab a mallet to crack open a bushel of blue crabs.

I called ahead and the manager was very enthusiastic about guaranteeing a gluten free experience, that their crabs steamed are gluten free. We ate at the restaurant 4 times in one week with every experience being great. Granted...the crab shell will naturally protect the meat from gluten. But the salads, shrimp & crab cocktail was just as good. Great service too. I highly recommend.
