Love the pancakes. They are literally the size of a dinner plate. They mark them so they don’t get mixed with normal ones

Ordered breakfast and the pancake, both were take out. They were marked with a toothpick saying gluten free. The egg dish was good, pancake was better. I asked for no cheese on my omlete but there was cheese in it. If ordering omissions make it clear.

Very knowledgeable on products used in the kitchen and d risk of cross contamination! I am allergic to 7 of the top 9 food allergens plus more & they were fantastic! Had their corn beef hash w/no egg or dairy- it was delicious. Greasy- but delicious! They do use a soy oil blend- for those who can’t have soy. Luckily I can. I will eat here again next time I’m visiting the KC area!

Used to be a great restaurant, but the food quality has gone downhill. Have a gluten free menu and separate prep space in the kitchen. However, last time I went they brought me a pancake that had gluten. I caught the error before eating (GF version is marked as GF with a labeled stick). The GF pancakes are about half the diameter they used to be and instead of a fluffy pancake they are as thin as a crepe and have no flavor. The burger is fine, but the fries are tasteless. Service on weekends is awful and unfriendly, but weekdays is generally good.

I got their gluten free pancakes and they were delicious! The food came out marked gluten free and the wait staff confirmed the syrup, sausage, and other items in my order were also gluten free.

Always great! They go the extra mile to ensure you have a safe meal. Really appreciate their effort! The GF menu is extensive and the options are all yummy!

Wonderful experience! Best gluten free pancake we’ve ever had. Two kids with Celiac and had no issues eating here. Separate gluten free menu with a lot of options. We will make this a regular stop when we go to St. Louis.

Unfortunately, I have to lower my normal rating for The Shack. They used to have so many choices for gluten free but they seem to be paring down their gf menu. No peanut butter, no steak and egg breakfast, no corn tortilla for breakfast tacos. Just seems like they could have some extra items that wouldn't cost that much but would allow more options. Used to be so fun to come here. Still feel safe eating here but let's go back to more options, please. .

The shack’s owners have a daughter with celiac. They have a separate GF menu. Just ask for it at the host station. They cook anything ordered gluten free on a dedicated cook station. Everything we’ve gotten is delicious. They serve breakfast and lunch, but only breakfast on Sundays.
