I have super symptomatic celiac and did not get sick! I ordered a blueberry pancake and bacon. The food was delicious and the server knew the importance of safe procedures to avoid cross contamination. My food was flagged gluten free when it was brought out. Would recommend for those with celiac disease!!

Absolutely loved this place! It has its own gluten free menu. Not a gluten free kitchen but they are super careful if you let them know that you can’t have gluten. I ordered the Mrs. John Denver omelette with hash browns and an iced coffee and it was amazing! They have dedicated fryers and skillets for gluten free food! Definitely will go again when I’m in town!

So I would say that it’s amazing food and everything but when I got my pancake it wasn’t gluten free(I only knew that because I’ve been there and it has the gluten free mark) I asked if it was and they said it wasn’t and they were so sorry I got that free because they were nice about it. I think the reason it got messed up was because the lady that took our order was tired and zoned out but she ended up being nice and apologetic once she realized.

Dedicated gluten free menu which I prefer over trying to find the few marked items on a larger menu of stuff I can’t have. Best selection was in the breakfast type items.
The GF items all arrived with GF wooden markers which was comforting. Note that the GF pancakes take longer (likely because the batter needs to rest/hydrate). Got pancakes and bacon which were all tasty.

A fun place with possibilities, however when I when there they were out of everything that was baked goods. So disappointed. I have been on the road for a week and and breakfasts for gluten free are non-existent. So tired of eggs.

Love this restaurant. My go-to for GF breakfast. Has an amazing GF pancake and tons of tasty options. Also a wonderful place to bring your family members and picky kids that are not GF. Always super careful and accommodating of allergies and make sure your order is right. So many choices and a GF fryer. The owners has a celiac family member and also owns the corner pub. It’s a must if you are celiac!

Great food and great staff here!!! Excellent choice of gluten free items
Separate GF menu, staff is knowledgeable, food is amazing. Finally a fun brunch spot where I can feel relaxed about my food and not be paranoid that I’ll get sick.

This place is perfect for breakfast or brunch! They have a celiac-safe gluten free menu since the owner’s daughter has celiac disease. I LOVE this place! The pancakes are delicious! I feel very safe here.

There is an excellent gluten free menu that offers breakfast and lunch options. They even have gluten free pancakes that are fabulous! The plates come out with an allergy marker on them, which provided a sense of security. No pain or discomfort after eating either! Definitely celiac approved.

Great place. Separate gluten free menu, including gluten free pancakes. No GF toast, but they have a GF roll. Just ask for it and have it toasted. Hash browns are cooked separately to avoid cross contamination. Also, all GF food identified with GF stick.
staff is always very careful when you say celiac.

Great food, extremely knowledgeable and I've never gotten sick from eating there! 5 stars!
I was so happy to find a place to eat while traveling. The food and service was great. I didn't get sick afterwards which was important as we were just to passing through. My non-gluten free family members enjoyed their meal as well. Wish we had one of these at home
Love the pancakes and the service. Yum!
dedicated fryer and pans! lots of options and DELICIOUS! try the pancakes and skillets!

LOVE this place for breakfast/brunch! They have a dedicated skillet to make the GF pancakes. However The waffles are made on the same iron as gluten waffles.

I went to the shack this morning for breakfast and they do not have a gluten free menu our kitchen. The food on the menu would be perfectly fine for someone without celiac but just trying to stay away from gluten. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with severe celiac.

Always great! They go the extra mile to ensure you have a safe meal. Really appreciate their effort! The GF menu is extensive and the options are all yummy!

Wonderful experience! Best gluten free pancake we’ve ever had. Two kids with Celiac and had no issues eating here. Separate gluten free menu with a lot of options. We will make this a regular stop when we go to St. Louis.

Unfortunately, I have to lower my normal rating for The Shack. They used to have so many choices for gluten free but they seem to be paring down their gf menu. No peanut butter, no steak and egg breakfast, no corn tortilla for breakfast tacos. Just seems like they could have some extra items that wouldn't cost that much but would allow more options. Used to be so fun to come here. Still feel safe eating here but let's go back to more options, please. .

The shack’s owners have a daughter with celiac. They have a separate GF menu. Just ask for it at the host station. They cook anything ordered gluten free on a dedicated cook station. Everything we’ve gotten is delicious. They serve breakfast and lunch, but only breakfast on Sundays.

Love the pancakes. They are literally the size of a dinner plate. They mark them so they don’t get mixed with normal ones
