My 3rd visit since January. This time I had the Mediterranean Salad with Steelhead Salmon which was delicious. I've had the spaghetti squash casserole with added bison patty chopped and mixed in. I have celiac and never had any problems. I'll be back.
Eat here a couple times each year when in town on business. Fantastic, healthy gf options. Street tacos and tuna tataki never disappoint. Love the wide variety of fresh juices. Had a Mediterranean salad yesterday that was original and had fantastic flavor. Never once had a reaction.
HATED the quinoa salad. Flavor was terrible! Tomatoes in the salad were not fresh. Chicken did not appear fully cooked.
In town for a conference. Loved the curry and juice options!
Had the spaghetti squash. Not sure if there was cross contamination but I definitely got sick, celiac people should be careful here and ask more questions
Kind of hit or miss. Ive had things I loved and things that were just okay. Menu os seasonal so options change. But it's always fresh and staff is usually helpful. I've never had a reaction after eating here.
I had the Gluten free turkey lasagna and it was delicious! Either I must have been starving or this was possibly the best lasagna I've ever had (other than moms of course). I wish we had this place in Alabama :-(
I stopped here my first time hoping for more gluten free options then salads. They offered pizza on pita or sandwich, which wasn't obvious to me on menu. Thankfully I in listed help from server. But all the fresh vegetables in the world doesn't satisfy a craving for a sandwich. I just wish restaurants under stood that!! Advertising GF should mean more then salads and soup. Pizza on pita ok I won't go back too pricy for what I got.
I don't like hippies, but if you have celiac, you must convert. Pricy, but the food is at least ok, and they have never poisoned me. The pizza is as good as any GF pizza I have eaten (see Zpizza). The salmon is among the best I have had with or without gluten.
You are definately paying for high quality local organic produce here, but it is worth it to splurge sometimes. The salad bowls are HUGE, the other dishes are more portion friendly. Would recommend this place if you are in the area
We have eaten here several times. The food is consistantly excellent. It is a bit pricey; however, that is to be expected for tasty good-for-you food. They are true to their name "True Food."
Absolutely outstanding and highly recommended! They take allergies very seriously here, are very excited to make you a customized meal, the waiters are knowledgeable and the food is made from scratch with high quality ingredients. Ate here twice in three days. Loved the chia banana coconut pudding, citrus cucumber margarita, and grassfed burger. Do not be afraid to try to customize an order! I personally thanked the chef and he was so humble, simply saying that they do this kind of accommodation (I have a long list), all the time. Wish more restaurants could have that kind of attitude!
This place is amazing with your gluten and other allergies!!!! They will work with you on everything and have lots of creative ideas.
Celiac Review: Eat here with No Fear! Absolutely Amazing! Our server Joe from LA was top notch! His knowledge and care of my food was above and beyond! Everyone enjoyed their meals! 10 STARS! Hummus was delicious! I had the Shrimp GF Panang Curry, Hubby had the GF Marg Pizza and Dad had GF Chopped Chicken Salad. Everyone was impressed! So nice to be able to enjoy and meal and not worry about getting sick or cross contamination!
Whenever I visit the DC area on business, I always ask my colleagues to eat at True Food Kitchen. There is always something on the menu I can eat (taking in consideration my celiac disease and soy allergy). The Berry Tart is heavenly (but is only offered seasonally). This is by far one of the very best chain restaurants I have been to!
Delicious food without guilt, both because it's GF and also healthful in other ways. GF chicken sausage pizza is very light and tasty, and the Spring Vegetable salad complements it well. Try the Tempranillo red wine from Spain's famed vintner Marques de Caceres, a real treat.
When I first looked at the menu I considered walking away. I'm so glad I didn't!!! The food was absolutely delicious and 100% safe for me to eat!!! We had 11 people in our party. All of them were worried when they started to read the menu because the items were so foreign to us. But there was not one person in our group who did not thoroughly enjoy their meal!!! And we all ordered something different!

I've eaten here several times without getting sick. They'll even modify somethings even if it's not noted on the menu.
Excellent menu with many options. I had the turkey lasagna and it was great. My boyfriend (not GF himself) had tacos and said they were very good. For dessert I had the cranberry almond cake and while it was pretty good, it was TINY for being $7. Wish I knew that before I ordered it, not worth the money in my opinion.
Omg it is good! The girls had the grilled chicken with watermelon and corn. My husband had the curry and it was mild. I had the spaghetti squash casserole with grilled chicken. We all had honey lemonade. And we are having the lemon chia cake for dessert. Awesome options!
AWESOME gf choices on their menu! I try to get something different every time I go but the Panang Chicken Curry soup ALWAYS just screams to me from the menu! I get it without rice to cut the carbs. I have had the spaghetti squash spaghetti and loved it. We had a waiter once tell us that the dessert that's tart and has buckthorne was one that was always being sent back as people don't really like it. Well I tried it on the next visit anyway and LOVED it! I'm more of a 'tart' flavor person, and the coconut whipped cream on it YUMMM!!!! My favorite dessert ever! My guys always get the no-grain chocolate cake a la mode. It's pretty darned good, especially if you are a chocolate person! (I'm not so much) Most of the staff is somewhat cordial, we seem to notice that there is kind of an air of stand-offishness or lacking enthusiasm with most of the waitstaff we've experienced (not tons of smiling - and the last time we kept having to flag our waiter down because he was busy chatting with the other servers instead of checking on us - the time before that they kept forgetting to bring my fresh juice and it wasn't busy but they did not charge me for it due to the wait). Not sure if it's an individual personality thing or just an untrained wait staff, where costumer service is concerned. They need to step up the friendliness factor in this part of town. Not sure if it's the time we go, or what, but we've never waited more than a few minutes to be seated. Despite the lackadaisical attitude of the waitstaff, we love this place and their awesome menu and we keep going back. The rating is for their menu and actual food.
Wow! The food and service quality (Dallas) are amazing. I had the Kale and Avocado Dip w/ the most amazing GF Pita Chips; and the Street Tacos (listed as GF) on the menu. Chase, my server, is very knowledgable about the menu. The manager brought my food. I spoke with Chef Kevin who said there is a separate area of the kitchen for gluten free prep. Items like buns and pizza crusts are brought in from GF specialty vendors; as a safeguard against cross contamination. And, those items are individually wrapped. I will definitely return again this week do dinner!
This place was wonderful!!! The server really made me feel safe from cross contamination, he made great recommendations. We split papaya salad, we had grass fed steak tacos, seared tuna wrap all GF. For dessert we had a gf chia seed lemon cake. Lots of choices for dinner and dessert.
