Village tavern is great 👍 The server was a little short about questions and clarifications, but was just very informative and willing to answer any questions. There is a pretty thorugh gluten free menu! I would double check to make sure everything is on the up and up once you get your food, but they have very good customer service and will get a manager to answer any questions the server might not be able to answer :)

I ordered Grouper in a lemon butter sauce with the pasta which was marked as GF. I clearly made the server aware that I needed gluten free. The meal was very good, but later that night I was sick and clearly glutened! Either the pasta was not gluten free or there was cross-contamination. Either way I guess I’ll have to be more careful in my selections in the future.

Horrible experience. State they are certified gluten free but server and manager had next to no knowledge. Ordered the salmon and it was brought to me with a gluten sauce on it. If you have celiac disease, don’t go here. Unsafe!

Touted as certified. Condescending waitress, unsure manager. Brought wrong meal with gluten sauce to table. Pizza oven not dedicated. Choose somewhere else.

For appetizers I had deviled eggs, caprese salad, then for dinner I had a beet salad, New York strip steak and mashed potatoes. That pizza on the menu and dozens of other offerings. It's quite diverse including gluten free pasta. Food was fantastic for the price.

Since I moved here I eat at Village Tavern usually at least once a week. Never have had a problem or gotten sick. They have a gluten free menu upon request. There are a lot of options ranging from pizza, to seafood, steak, I even think I saw a gf pasta on there but haven't tried it yet. Their food is amazing, and the wait staff is very on top of things. I would highly recommend coming here.

Had chicken Alfredo with GF pasta and GF creme brûlée! Really good. Menu clearly marked with GF options.

Lots of options on the GF menu and menu was created with GIG. My meal was had a salad and the grouper Hemingway. Both were delicious!!

Excellent food! I had the BBQ chicken pizza (made on a gluten free flat bread). Very yummy! I believe the also offer gluten free bread for sandwiches. Very knowledgable!

Had lunch here on our first visit to Winston-Salem – amazing food, GF menu with lots of great choices, and flexible “from scratch” kitchen. Server was very knowledgeable about GF needs and took great care of us. “Certified GF Safe Spot.” Indoor and outdoor seating – we really enjoyed our outdoor table. Can’t wait to come back here on our next visit!

Managed to handle my celiac incredibly well! Staff was very knowledgeable and careful, and they had a large gluten free menu! They were also able to independently accommodate my girlfriend’s dairy and peanut allergies.

They even had a manager stop by to make sure our allergies were well accommodated.

We requested the gluten free menu and had the GF BBQ Chicken pizza and then the chicken sandwich with the GF bun. The bun was delicious and arrived still in the package.

My husband said his grilled chicken spinach salad with honey mustard was the best salad he has ever had. The tavern salad was also excellent, as were the pizzas. They were thin crust and delicious. The teens liked their entrees.

I’ve eaten here multiple times with no issue as I’ve gotten to know the staff well. They understand my needs to eat safely. There are a few GF items in the menu. I normally get the shrimp and grits or the GF pizza. The pizza is cooked in a separate tin from the other pizzas and tastes great!
