Ate here twice. High quality food and service. Menu indicates which items are Gluten-free. Some entrées can be “made GF” by subbing out bread. Servers are courteous and will verify ingredients. I tried the shrimp & grits and a zucchini-noodle dish. Both tasted rich and satisfying. Did not get sick.

They should have their gf certification revoked. The options they have are slim & they certainly don’t follow any cross contamination protocols. They list GF next to items that can be made gf. They indicated one of their pizzas can be gf by using a rice crust BUT they make it in the same oven as gluten pizzas which can become contaminated by the fan from the oven. They said they have gf pasta on the menu but server said they were out. I confirmed that sides would be gf with no possibility of cross contamination. I got the ribeye with green beans & garlic mashed potatoes. As I started to eat the green beans, I found a piece of spaghetti underneath them. Told the server, he went to get me fresh sides. He came back & there was a piece of spaghetti on top of the “new” beans. Idk if they gave me the same beans back or if they boil the beans in the same water as pasta or both. I sent them back obviously & was not trusting enough to get a fresh order. The manager took my whole meal off the check. I won’t be back because these are rookie mistakes that a place with a certification should know how to avoid. Super bummed.

They have a separate gluten free menu. My husband and I both really enjoyed our lunch and will eat here again.
I go here often. Love it!
Food was tasty, but I should have been concerned about the disclaimer. Had a reaction shortly after leaving the restaurant. Totally wasn't worth it! I'm just glad I didn't have to use my Epi pen, but I'm still uncomfortable. Hopefully this was an isolated experience, but I don't think I'd trust them again. I used to love them prior to my diagnosis!

Love going for Sunday brunch. Usually get salmon benedict with fruit and it is always superb. The wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I have Celiac and have never had a problem there.

They were awesome about being super careful about gluten and dairy intolerance but the my pizza was over cooked and just the typical frozen pizza crust in the little silver pan. I would stick with a salad.
I ordered a pizza and wasn't happy with it. They cooked and served it in an aluminum tin which made me feel safer, but it allowed the crust to absorb all the grease making the crust soggy.

Great food and service
Managed to handle my celiac incredibly well! Staff was very knowledgeable and careful, and they had a large gluten free menu! They were also able to independently accommodate my girlfriend’s dairy and peanut allergies.
They even had a manager stop by to make sure our allergies were well accommodated.

We requested the gluten free menu and had the GF BBQ Chicken pizza and then the chicken sandwich with the GF bun. The bun was delicious and arrived still in the package.

My husband said his grilled chicken spinach salad with honey mustard was the best salad he has ever had. The tavern salad was also excellent, as were the pizzas. They were thin crust and delicious. The teens liked their entrees.

I’ve eaten here multiple times with no issue as I’ve gotten to know the staff well. They understand my needs to eat safely. There are a few GF items in the menu. I normally get the shrimp and grits or the GF pizza. The pizza is cooked in a separate tin from the other pizzas and tastes great!

My wife and I had dinner there last night. I am celiac, my wife is not. I had the shrimp and grits with a Tavern salad. My wife enjoyed the filet mignon with a Caesar salad. Both our meals and the service were excellent. I let the server know that I was celiac and he encouraged me not to worry. I had no problems with the dinner. Village Tavern has a very good wine list with several selections that are very reasonably priced. They sell many by the glass. The main menu had “gf” beside items that could be prepared gluten free. There were many selections. Highly recommended.
