Amazing! Had an entire gf fisherman’s platter. (Share this with others - it is gigantic!) separate fryer, knowledgeable staff, entire menu is marked and almost everything can be gf!

The menu is extra clear with what is gluten free or not. The fry batter used is totally gluten free, and the serving staff is wicked conscious of allergens. Upon alerting the staff of the severe allergy, they took extra note and had the chef who prepared the meal bring the gf plate out. Their caution paid off as I did not get sick afterwards.

We had an excellent dinner here and love that all their batter is gluten free! They have a wonderful variety of food and drink options. We loved that you can get so many items here that are typically hard to find at other restaurants that claim to have gluten free. Do yourself a favor and try the calamari…yum! Our server was very attentive and made our experience that much better. We can’t wait to go back!

This location does NOT have a dedicated fryer. I confirmed this over the phone with the chef and in-person with my waitress. I ordered a caesar salad with no croutons and my salad was delivered by the manager with croutons. The manager said they were gluten free, but I asked the waitress when she stopped by and she didn't even know that Legals had gluten free croutons! She double checked with the kitchen and the croutons were gf after all, but I would strongly recommend against visiting this location.

I can't even believe it - they have fish and chips - battered in gluten free batter and a gluten free fryer! So impressed. I haven't had fish and chips in years, this was an amazing treat. Was really excited to try this. They really seem to strive to make this a safe place to eat. The waitress must have been new and was confused about their gluten free options. She did go and ask some questions, but our appetizer came out and I double checked and they definitely weren’t gluten free. They did fix the problem right away and brought out a new order with gluten free rolls on our sliders. At that point I was a little worried about the rest of the meal so the peace of mind was gone. Everything else was seemingly good. The food was ok. A little underwhelming for the price BUT i would go back simply because there are SO many options and hope for better service.

Absolutely amazing seafood and the number of choices for gluten-free were unbelievable. The entire fried food section including fish, etc. was gluten-free. Most of their signs appetizers, etc. are gluten-free. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and definitely a place I will go every time I’m in Virginia Beach.

Omg, I am from MN, so there are few times I have eaten fried calamari, shrimp, fish and chips. It is all in a dedicated fryer. The calamari was amazing (crispy, not chewy) and I was so full that I couldn’t eat another plate. They brought out a gluten free roll that I had to ask if it was really gluten free. Then I asked for a dessert menu and they had a chocolate lava cake with a macaroon cookie (and ice cream - although I can’t do ice cream). I am so happy. I struggled with the choice since it is “in the mall” but there is a gorgeous view (make reservations on the weekends). If you have the chance - go. Just go. I’m so satisfied for another 5 years!

I ordered the fish and chips and was extremely underwhelmed. Having celiac, I appreciate places with dedicated GF kitchens. But, the fish was about the size of two chicken nuggets and the breading was so greasy it was falling off. The fries were old and greasy and not very warm. For $28 it was probably the worst GF experience I have had dining out.
