Awesome to go to a place that marks the menu with what contains wheat! Chips are fried in a common fryer, so not GF but you get corn tortillas instead to dip into sauces.

Everything I have had has been delicious

My nutritionist advised me to go gluten-free since she senses I have an allergy. After browsing dozens of menus, I felt most confident dining out GF (for the first time) here. Our waitress was Desiree, and she was phenomenal. I wasn’t sure if the chips were GF or not, so I opted not to eat them. I had the Chicken Lupe Del Mar with corn tortillas - my husband had the same thing. My dad had the tortilla soup with some tacos. Our food was brought out separate, and I was extremely impressed with how many GF items were on the menu. Unless specified, everything is GF. That really put me at ease.

I’ve also had the salmon, mahi mahi, and other dishes here with seasonal veggies instead of rice. The menu really accommodates to those watching calories or who have food allergies.

Gf enchiladas were not GF—I tested with Nima. The black beans were ok. I’m starving...

Best Fajitas I have ever had. The C.E.O’s wife is celiac. They went to great efforts to make sure I didn’t get sick. They cleaned the grill to make my corn tortillas which also have gluten free flour in them. Amazing service! Attentive server and management. The chips and bean dip that comes with them are not gluten free. However the refried beans are safe. They make a huge effort to make most of the menu gluten free anyway but when they know you have an allergy they are even more careful!

I’m so glad I went here. Get the steak fajitas! Or the chicken or shrimp but at least try the steak fajitas. Best decision I could have made!

Enjoy!

I absolutely LOVE Lupe Tortilla!!! I could eat their bean dip as the main entree. I always order beef & chicken fajitas on corn tortillas. Most menu items should be gluten free - just ask for corn tortillas. Only down side is that this location is small so you have to wait to be seated and service is not always great at this location.

I got chicken and spinach enchiladas. That wasn't listed on the menu, but they were happy to accommodate me. There was a wheat sign beside the items that weren't gluten free. The chips are delicious. The sauce on my enchiladas (green and red sauce) was gluten free. I have never had enchiladas, gluten free, that delicious. The waiters were very helpful. I didn't eat the queso because I was told it was probably gluten free. All in all, it was a very positive experience!

They had a dedicated fryer for chips. Waitress wasn’t sure but then went back and confirmed from the kitchen that did. Food was good. Didn’t get sick.

This is the original Lupe’s! It’s my family’s and my fav tex-mex since I was born basically. When diagnosed I felt so discouraged I wouldn’t be able to eat here, and the level of safety but I’ve made alternative options to be able to eat here safely and have the amazing margs! 1. I bring my own chips in my purse (I get an extra salsa to dip or a spoon for queso/gauc and my family is great about putting it on their plate so no CC) 2. I heat and bring my own corn tortillas in foil in my purse. (Note: they have lettuce cups and corn tortillas but they aren’t the safest - they try their best to clean the grill but I am extremely sensitive). 3. I get the mixed fajitas and they are safe! I make my tacos first before the rest of my family and all is well!

I know this is extra and sometimes not the most convenient but as my family’s local amazing mexican restaurant I make the time to feel safe. Celiac is not easy but never feel discouraged!

This place is amazing!! Pretty much everything is GF except the flour tortillas and the corn ones are so soft they seem to be flour!! Eaten here on multiple occasions and with takeout and never been glutened!
