Can’t wait to go back!!! The food was delicious and all gluten free except two items kept in a special case. The biscuits and popovers were amazing. Best gf bread I’ve had in 13 years going GF. It was wonderful to have French onion soup. Staff was super knowledgeable and friendly.

Run, don’t walk to this amazing bistro! Best burger in the OC with a house made brioche bun!
Absolutely divine! It has been months since eating gf cinnamon buns and these exceeded my every expectation. I’ve been back in the weeks since with family and friends and will be taking everyone here for the near future as I feel 1000% safe eating here. If they were on DoorDash I would order every single day. Thank you thank you thank you

Great food and great service! Owner is super nice! French toast and cream puffs were amazing! I would have never assumed to find such a place in a corporate park but hope they last a long time because the food is truly phenomenal!

YUM. They’ve nailed it. Everything my group ordered was delicious. Crepes, salads, french toast, an amazing monte cristo, and, drumroll…Divine Science gf beer on tap!
If I lived closer, I’d be here every weekend.
The ambiance is bustling. The live guitarist was a fantastic add to the atmosphere.
I’m marking it gluten-free - everything is gf except some croissants they bring in from the outside and are very upfront about.

This place is it! Every item except for the croissants are gluten free. I was SO happy when I went in to see cream puffs?! Crepes?! And it is all so yummy! The owner is so nice and it is all family run—you’ve got to check it out! A quick tip—park in the parking garage and walk over (super fast and they validate if your purchase is $15 or more I believe)!

Damn good food! Felt very comfortable with all the options (the only gluten item was in a separate container away from the other goodies) The eggs Benedict were incredible.

Absolutely loved everything we had here. Had the spinach salad and the short rib sandwich with fries. We also tried a lime filled cream puff that was amazing. All the bread is made on site except for croissants that they purchase which is the only non gluten free item. Bought a few cream puffs to bring home to the family and everyone raved about them. Food is great service is exceptional and atmosphere is perfect French bistro style, music and all. Highly recommended.

Just ate here for the first time, it was so good! I had the eggs Benedict with a side of hash browns. The serving was perfectly proportioned. Where I feel full, but not overly so. I grabbed a snicker doodle and chocolate cream puff on my way out to bring home to the wife. I tried a bite of the snicker doodle, and my good, so good!
Just be careful of the croissants I guess they are the only things not gluten free, at least for today. When I inquired about the chocolate croissant they let me know it's not gluten free.
I'm already thinking about when I can come back, 10/10 do recommended.

This place is amazing. Everything is gluten free except for a few pastries that they fly in from France (they are kept in a separate box). The biscuits are unbelievable. We also had the French onion soup with croutons and the short rib aus jus sandwich. Both highly recommended. They have GF beer on tap from divine science which is phenomenal. We got some baguettes and sourdough bread to go and will be coming back soon.

Family owned French Bistro with flavorful fair, elegant decor & lovely outdoor patio. An Irvine gem with warm welcoming service where customers are treated like family. My favs are the short rib sandwich, French sandwich, French onion soup, classic cheeseburger with fries and cookies. They also offer great weekly specials, wine, GF beer and sell bread loaves & GF flour. A must try!

I follow this person with Celiac on Instagram, @Eatglutenfreeaz as she goes all over exploring different restaurants to eat their Gluten Free food and she reviewed this place. I thought it would be good to add this restaurant to this app so that Celiac people would know about this place too.

Almost dedicated GF. They have croissants that contain gluten that they get from France, otherwise everything is gluten free! And it was all delish and reasonably priced. The people working are so sweet and it’s just overall always a good experience when we go

We stumbled on this French bistro, and I thought I was being teased when I asked “what is gluten-free?”. And was told “everything is gluten-free.”
The food is delicious and made from scratch. My non-gluten-free husband loves their biscuits! (he normally doesn’t like gluten-free food.)
They do not have any flour in the kitchen, so it’s celiac safe. (the owner/chef’s wife is celiac, so they are extremely careful.
To top it off, the ambience is beautiful and relaxing.

This is the best place to eat for gluten free people as well as those who aren’t gluten free. Their biscuits are the best biscuits I’ve ever had at a restaurant. You won’t believe they are gluten free! Their omelettes are to die for and their bacon is also the best bacon I have had. Can’t wait to go back and try more things on their menu. For those of us that are gluten free, it’s so nice to go to a cafe and be able to order anything on the menu because everything there is gluten free. I can’t recommend this place enough!! Go! You will not be disappointed!

What an amazing find this weekend. Make sure you go and enjoy this quaint dining experience. It has a charming french bistro feel as soon as you walk in. The staff is engaging and the food is decadent. We made sure to try it all. Starters, soup, entree, and dessert. Also, we took home the sourdough loaf. Definitely will call ahead to get our special orders of take & bake to bring home next time.

This place is amazing. Had gf fish and chips and sampled the French onion soup. The soup was delicious. With gf croutons. Everything is gf and this Celiac felt safe. The staff and owner were all friendly. Nice little patio out front. Hard to find behind the parking garage but definitely worth finding. Run do not walk to this place!!

This place is the best! All gluten free menu with homemade bread (even sourdough!) with the exception of the croissants that are brought in and kept in their own closed case. Kitchen is completely gluten free. Owner and brother are so friendly and came and talked to us both. Owner is a severe celiac, so she knows the importance of keeping a completely gluten free kitchen. Pay them a visit! Well worth it!

Maldon’s is the most IMPORTANT gluten free restaurant in Irvine. A lot of the food is made to order and from scratch and the entire menu except the croissants for the moment are gluten free. It’s rare to go to a family owned restaurant in Irvine let alone a GLUTEN FREE restaurant. The food is so fresh and the place looks like an influencer went through and decorated everything. I cannot stress enough how incredible the food is here. It’s also more reasonably priced than any restaurant I’ve ever been to in my entire life. Please GO HERE often and support this amazing restaurant. They also sell their sour dough bread to take home and the batch is made there early in the morning. The bread is a secret recipe and it’s absolutely incredible. I paid 30 dollars for a large one which literally lasts 15 days in a fridge and longer if you freeze it instead of a loaf of bread that costs 10 dollars that lasts me 2 days and is full of holes. I’d rather pay 30 dollars and get a massive sour dough that lasts over 2 weeks and tastes incredible than 10 dollars for something that expires right away. The bread is so big that you legitimately get your moneys worth anyways. Go here. Tell your friends to go here. If they’re gluten free let them know. If they aren’t gluten free just tell them to go here and they’ll have no idea it’s gluten free I frickin promise. Thank you and please stay in business.

This place is a gem! Delicious food, lovely presentation, nice ambiance, wonderful service, and best of all--no worries about getting sick due to cross contamination. I had read that the only thing with gluten was the croissants, but they didn't have any in when I visited. And the owner has celiac, so they "get" celiac-safe.
I had the Florentine crepe (one was plenty) and would order again. Also ordered snickerdoodles and chocolate-dipped macaroons to go. (I can attest that the snickerdoodle is amazing!) You can order baked goods ahead for pick up. Next time, I'm getting cinnamon rolls to take home!

WOW!!! Near the airport, 100% gluten free, and the best breakfast and lunch I’ve had in a long time! It was so good we ate there five times in the five days we were in Santa Ana (visiting from Texas)! It’s a family- owned restaurant, and the chef and the owner who developed the breads and pastries (which were the best I’ve ever had) both have gluten sensitivity themselves. They are so hospitable and kind, and go above and beyond to make everything perfect. They get my highest recommendation in every way!!! If you haven’t had a great burger with a great bun in awhile, you’re in for a treat. It was so good I ate the hamburger two different days. The breakfasts were amazing and so were the soups, pastries, omelettes, crepes — everything. I can’t say enough good about this place. Seriously, you will NOT be disappointed!

Amazing food! Their bread is made in house and it was delicious. They have a variety of pastries that were also very good. Their prices are very reasonable especially considering their food is so fresh and gluten free. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. I mentioned how I have not been able to find gf cinnamon rolls and they said they can make some so I will be calling to place an order for those! My family who is not gf loved the food as well so it was a win win for all of us! We will definitely be back

Everything is GF here! And the prices are lower than most regular places. They have one case displaying croissants imported from France that are NOT GF...that is it! Everything made in house including the English Muffins used in the glorious eggs Benedict! The people here are the nicest I have ever come across and the owner is an absolute delight to visit with. The location is absolutely beautiful! You would never know you were in the middle of a high rise office complex.
