Chef came out to talk to me and modified my meal to fit my gluten free requirements. Very impressed. Also asked me if I had another allergies.
The chef that was making my food came out and informed me what was safe to eat. they did a wonderful job making sure my meal was gluten free. I had the BBQ ribs and they were amazing!! The have a separate fryer for tortilla chips and French fries. I am definitely coming back !!!
Chef came out to talk to us and assured us that our Celiac and allergies would be handled appropriately, and they were! We ordered the Cobb salad, and the ribs. Everything was excellent! We would definitely go back again.
great place not much on the menu but didn't get glutened so that makes me happy
This is a place where I feel save eating, special treatment for gf food. Although I realy enjoyed my lettuce wrapped burger with fries, the rest of the group was not at all impressed by their food and found it a bot overpriced. Very nice atmosphere though.
Second visit and both times food has been great. Very reassuring that the Chef comes to the table to ensure there is no confusion.
Food was just ok. The manager did come out to take my order though and radioed back to the kitchen to see what would work For me, which was nice. My order went in on a special "pink slip" looking form, so it would stand out in the kitchen, and they brought my food out separately to avoid cross contamination with other food for our table on the tray. View off the balcony was great and my kids loved it.
Chef was sorta helpful but got asked "what do I eat when I go out" expecting me to tell him what I wanted to eat when I didn't know what I could eat there?
GF items were not labeled but the chef comes out to your table to go through the menu with you. The food and service were good. The view from the balcony was amazing.
Food was ok but the price was high and food was limited
We ask the waitress about GF options. She was nice but not knowledgable. She suggested the chicken. She went back a couple times to the kitchen. One chef on duty so manager came over. Both of them had asked if we were celiac. I responded no but we do not eat anything that has gluten in it. The manager mentioned his daughter was celiac. He was helpful but the menu was light with options for our kids. We ordered hotdogs-no buns, steamed veggies, french fries using a dedicated GF fryer and two of the china chopped chicken salad. We were assured this was a GF option. Even the dressing and rice noodles. They delivered our salads with a huge piece of bread on the top of the salad and the hot dogs came snuggled in their buns. We sent the hotdogs back. Partly out of principal. The manager returned with new plates-no buns. We ate and paid...the bill was 70+ dollars! Btw just waters..no drinks. 30 minutes later soar thoughts and headaches. Normally if we have a small amount of hidden Gluten or trace amount we are ok. Not this time-We got glutenized. I cant help think of what a disaster it would have been if we were celiac. Sad that perhaps it wasn't as important to avoid cc because we weren't. The feedback from manager was they are working in GF menu and GF noodle sub for thinks like pasta and mac n cheese. Lets hope a higher level of GF training for staff and kitchen come with it.
They don't actually have a gluten free menu but they have the chef come to the table. He and I discussed options and we settled on a flat iron steak, grilled shrimp and mashed potatoes. They offered me a flourless chocolate cake and a GF cheesecake for dessert but I was full so I didn't try them. The food & service was really good.
Chef came out and spoke to me himself. He told me everything I can have and made me feel very comfortable with his knowledge. They also have a designated fryer! Yay! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger (it came to me as a burger without a bun but that's okay!) and French fries. It was huge and delicious. I was too full for dessert but they have three options. The chef said the creme brûlée is the best. Anyways. Definitely recommend. Great experience
Very friendly staff, kitchen manager came out and went over my wife's allergies and made 3 visits to table, first class place
Vegas Rainforest cafe was great!! No GF menu, but the chef came out and spoke to us. They said they take allergies VERY serious! I had fries and ribs.
Very disappointed! We have ate at the Seattle rain forest cafe with no problems and exceptional service. Vegas rainforest disappointed big time last night. When the chef came out he didn't help at all, he just kept saying what do u want and then shot down anything I did want. The kids were given hamburgers wrapped in lettuce and very few fries and charged 10.00 for a kids plate that my kids did not like. When we tasted the kids burgers they had no seasoning, dry hockey pucks and one was raw! The server never came around at all. All in all very disappointed.
After reading some reviews of other folks, we decided to check out the Rainforest Cafe when we arrived to the hotel. It was a long trip and we just wanted to get something in our belly that wasn't a fortune. I've eaten here previously prior to my celiac diagnosis and had decent food so I was confident they would be able to provide me with a meal to suit my needs. We ate at the bar because there was a 20 minute wait for a table in the dining room. The manager was behind the bar and said the chef would come out and make me whatever I wanted after I explained to him about celiac disease and gluten. 25 minutes later, the manager was gone and the chef never came out to check on me. So I just decided to order a salad and tell them the obvious, no croutons and no bread. The salad came out with bread on the side of the plate so my sister just took it and ended up eating it. I picked the lettuce off of the salad where the bread had been just in case. The salad was just okay. Nothing to write home about. I didn't end up sick afterwards or feeling sick so I guess that's all that really matters. It is getting tiring of always settling for something just to stay safe. I don't think I could recommend this restaurant for my Pretty Little Celiacs.
Was personally greeted by our chef; food was prepared specially and tasted exceptional; great service all around! Definitely will return.
They were so attentive to my gluten free request. The food was good & I went back twice on my trip for breakfast & dinner.
Ate here over the weekend and was very pleasantly surprised. The chef came out and talked to me about my options. He was very concerned and knowledgeable about gluten. I got the queso dip with ground beef added and it was delicious! They use a shared fryer for tortilla chips, so they brought me kettle chips to go with it. It sounds odd, but it was really good. Honestly the dip was so good I could've eaten it off tree bark and it would've been fine! Definitely recommend.
The chef came out and explained to me the items on the menu that he could change to become gluten free. He gave me all the options for sides and he was thorough in his descriptions. I didnt feel judged or awkward by stating that I had a gluten intolerance. They were really helpful and i didnt get sick.
We ate here on October 28, 2016. There isn't a gluten free section on menu but we told waitress about our Celiac Disease. The chef came out and told us there were gluten free pasta and hamburger buns. He would make any dish gluten free for us. Very nice restaurant and staff. Kids loved the food and atmosphere.
Ordered the soup gluten free, came out with wheat flour noodles and wheat flour garlic bread. The chef did not come out. The manager did not come over. I could have ended up in the hospital, had I trusted them. The service was horrendous. Took 35 min to get my food and just had to wrap it up to go. Update: Just had a bite of the chicken sandwich that I ordered on an udi's bun, they didn't remove the tendon in the chicken breast so I bit into this enormous hard disgusting thing. I will never in my life go to a rain forest cafe again!
"I heard you're really good at accommodating gluten free." "As soon as you say that, I have to alert the chef." The chef came out and took my order personally. He assured me he is the only one touching my food and will be taking every precaution. Also, they have gluten free buns! No dedicated menu, but I feel safer here than many places that do!
The chef came out and told me things on the menu that were gluten free. I started to order and he asked if I liked things spicy, I replied yes. He asked if he could suggest the special 9, it is a Mahi Mahi filet, shrimp, grilled veggies and rice. It was one of the best dishes I have had in a while.
My server really didn't have much knowledge of gluten free items. He did give me his hand written list of what was gluten free. They have gluten free buns for the burgers. My food was brought out touching all the other food on the tray, so be careful of cross contamination.
Tried the breakfast one morning this week. Chef came out and accommodated. Had a three egg omelet with add on choices that I saw on other menu items that weren't listed with omelets. So that was nice. Toast was substituted with a large bowl of fresh cut fruit. No reaction. Meal was also served by the chef whom personally took my order. Great experience!
They do not have a dedicated gluten free menu but When we got to the the restaurant a chef came to the table to tell us our options. I thought It was going to work out great because they were going to prepare everything special even to make the fries baked. But after eating less than half the meal I could tell something was wrong and I got severely sick. The manager apologize greatly and said this is never happened before. But i know i will never risk it again.
Oustanding service! From our waiter Alen, Greezelle the manager who took time to tell me options that would fit for a celiac, to the chef who also followed up to ensure my dining experience with my husband the service was phenomenal. There's not a dedicated GF menu, but most of the items on the menu can be made GF. The gf food I ordered was also good: grilled shrimp and french fries made in a dedicated fryer, all was good. No side effects either. My husband, a non GF diner also really liked his meal. Thank-you!
Our experience here was awful. The chef came out to talk to us but basically said nothing is really GF except salads and one of their chicken dishes without the marinade. Cross contamination is a huge concern. Even out non GF family members didn't enjoy their food. Not sure how this place is always so busy. I guess it's the expertise for little kids. We won't be back.
I used to work here for years and I can tell you this is not a safe restaurant for Celiacs. There us no dedicated GF fryer, no matter what they tell you. They may make you think they take it seriously by sending a chef to your table, but as someone who has seen it actually prepared, there will be cross contamination out the wazoo. I have seen bread touch a plate and be pulled off, and still served. Re-used pans. And on a busy day, they are definitely not wiping down a prep space for GF tickets.
They do not actually have a gluten free menu. Someone from the kitchen will come out and go over options with you of things that can be "modified." After eating something that I was assured was gluten free (and telling them I have a severe allergy) I became extremely ill. Very disappointing.
Enjoyed a meal here with my mom. (We had a mother-daughter day) asked before getting seated about gluten free options. The manager came out and pointed out the choices. I can rarely enjoy French fries because of contaminated fryers.... But she stated that if I'd like fries they would bake them. Great option. Very helpful. Cute restaurant. Didn't have any tummy issues either.
My family ate there last night! I was very excited that when I told our waitress that I had to eat GF that she excused herself and went right back and got her manager and he came out with a different color order book and told me I could have anything on the meme except a few certain things and assured me it would all be prepared for my safety! I had a cheese burger ( no bun) warped in lettuce w/ fresh veggies! It was delicious! We will be back!!!
My kids always want to eat here for their birthdays, and the food is pretty lame, but I have survived on some plain chicken that they grill up for me every time. It's not terrible, but it's not worth the price we pay. But, I go because my kids have a ball and I end up taking the pictures while everyone else eats their huge volcano cake without me. I think they are lame for not having a gluten free menu because it makes me feel like a dork for having the chef come out and talk to me, but at least that ensures I'm not going to get sick.
The manager came the table to ensure the order was done correctly . If you go look at the menu and decide what you want l, then tell the manager what you exactly want on your plate. Like I ordered the Journey combo. I asked for grilled chicken, lettuce and avacado. No bread... The chef came out to insured the quality of his skills. That was wonderful
The Rainforest Cafe doesn't have a dedicated gluten free menu, but the chef comes to your table to tell you what is gluten free. After explaining to me what dishes I could eat, the chef personally took my order on a special "allergy alert" notepad. I ordered steak, rotisserie chicken, wild rice, and French fries. It was such a luxury to eat French fries as they are fried in a separate fryer. I have Celiac Disease, and I did not get sick after eating at the Rainforest Cafe.
They do not have a dedicated gluten free menu but if you mention it to the server they accommodate you. The kitchen manager himself will come out and personally tell you what is safe to eat and he even brings out the food to you. My boyfriend and I shared the spinach artichoke dip which itself is gluten free but the chips are not so the chef said he could bring me potato chips which tasted just fine! Then we shared the rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and coleslaw, all gf and delish! The chef was super nice and accommodating. Only reason I went 4 stars is because after I told the waitress of my sensitivity she didn't spend much time at the table since the chef served us.
