If you suffer from gluten intolerance or celiacs this is a spot to go! The chef personally has family members who have both intolerance and celiacs and is VERY knowledgeable. They have a dedicated fryer to make all the fried goodness that celiacs often miss out on. I ate chicken tenders (haven’t had these out in YEARS!) and shrimp & grits. Also took home GF key lime pie. Went in the off season and it was not busy but can imagine in the summertime it is very busy.

They also have GF ciders and beers to make it easy to “fit in” and not have anxiety while eating out.

Tried this place based on reviews on this app. I was impressed with a large selection of gluten free dishes. I was told they have a dedicated fryer which I was happy about. As a Celiac, got to eat fried chicken tenders, waffle fries, and key lime pie. Could not ask for better food, safety, and great service here. Come here before 6:45 during peak season. I watched people get turned away at 7, while there was a wait and they close at 9.

I had a very positive experience visiting this restaurant. Picked it based on reviews in this app. I was in a hurry and wanted some food before heading back to Raleigh. We got there around 4:40 and they just started a wait. I recommend getting their early if you don’t want to wait long. Got seated and did not give me a gf menu (not an issue, just mentioning so you can ask the hostess before you’re seated). I looked the menu up online so when we were treated ht our server I paced my order all at once so we could get on the road as soon as possible. I ordered the cheese fries and chicken tenders. The fries are too much for one person but the tenders don’t come With a side. I was just happy to have GF options. My non celiac son had a pizza and devoured it so I would say it was pretty good. I would agree with others that the tenders are some of the best I’ve ever had. I recommend this place. No issues order at all. The waitress was super chill about everything and it didn’t seem out of the ordinary at all. Enjoyable dinner 😊

If you are near, GO!!

Visiting with family for vacation. Used to always feeling like we have to sacrifice where we can eat so that I can eat a safe meal, but this place was no sacrifice. Wait staff was so sweet, explained to me that the owners are GF, Helped me order, talked me through appetizers. And on top of that food was delicious. Usually you don’t have those two things in 1. Safe food, and delicious food.

We went based on reviews and we ordered the boom boom shrimp appetizer. As my daughter took a bite, someone ran over and exclaimed it was not gluten free. They recently changed the breading and the regular and gluten free look identical. They plan on providing more training and then returning to the cornstarch based breading which looks different. The hostess (?) was extremely apologetic as she also has celiac and understands the gravity of getting this right. Once the correct ones came out they were delicious as was the rest of our food.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We went there based on reviews here and other research. We even did our usual thing where we had the gluten family members sit on one side of the table and the Celiac folks sit on the other. My husband explained that he and one of our kids have Celiac and ordered off the GF menu. Our server brought out his boom boom shrimp appetizer. He had eaten four of them when someone came and told him his were not the GF version. His vacation is now ruined, plus all of the joint pains and brain fog he gets for weeks afterwards. This kind of mistake from place that supposedly knows better is unacceptable. I do NOT recommend. I am just thankful my kid does not like shrimp.

Omg. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. They have the largest GF menu I’ve seen. One of the owner’s was here and she is so sweet and made us feel like family. I didn’t worry about being “Glutened” here. By far 10/10.

We ate here twice while in vacation. What a find!! They have a separate GF menu. The chef’s wife and sister in law have Celiac Disease so the staff understands about gluten free. They even have a dedicated fryer! After two meals, where my husband was able to eat chicken wings, tuna nachos and loaded waffle fries he had no I’ll effects! An excellent choice for the whole family.

This place is a celiac’s dream. We met one of the owners - she and her sister have celiac and her brother in law is the chef. Dedicated fryer, utensils, cook space, etc. Huge GF menu - it was almost overwhelming when we’re used to having so few choices! I had the sesame seared tuna, broccoli and wasabi mashed potatoes. We all shared the GF key lime pie for dessert and my GF-eating fam loved it. I felt completely safe, the food and service was exceptional. I can’t wait to go back.

I have celiac disease and am very sensitive. There is a two page menu of gluten free items, a dedicated fryer and knowledgeable staff about celiac disease. I had fried shrimp, fried waffle fries….. a treat I rarely get. And key lime pie for dessert. I am here for a week and will go to this restaurant at least two more times while I’m here. Have been to Splash twice and have had absolutely AMAZING experiences both times. I live Surf City and just discovered this place, its a game changer, and totally worth the 15 minute drive. Owner, chef and manager all have celiac and they have created a separate preparation area and a dedicated fryer to allow for nearly 100% of the menu to be prepared gluten free / celiac safe.

Staying in the area on vacation. Was excited to find a place with a gluten free menu. Had the Kickin Chicken sandwich and it was great. Gluten free breaded chicken on a gluten free bun. This restaurant is phenomenal. Great view and atmosphere and incredible gluten free food. The burger was out of this world with a perfect gluten free bun. The chicken tenders were also delicious. We will 100% be back
