Gluten free. They have moved locations 3-4 times. Had some nice options. Some things by the best flavor. Now they mostly focus on special orders. Hard to just stop by and get something. Flavor of foods has gone downhill. However if u have several dietary restrictions they r an option

Loved stopping by and getting sandwich bread. The rolls were soft and delicious. The owner was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stop by again.

Being vegan and gluten-free I was so excited when this place opened their new location and was there on opening day! I have since gone a few times since but decided never to go back again for the following reasons. I found most of the products to be tasteless. After having lived in New York City, I guess I was spoiled by allergy-free baked goods that actually taste just as good as their originals. I spent $8 on pumpernickel bread just to throw it out because it was inedible. There were a few things I found that I did like, but the attitude of the staff and owner were just so bad that it just didn't make it worth it. Of the 4 times I have been the staff has always been unfriendly and rude. When I arrived and asked for their "English muffins" the girl (although I know she knew what I was talking about) rudely said "We don't have English muffins. Are you referring to our sandwich bread?" If I ask for something that's not available they make some kind of nasty comment as if I had a lot of nerve to ask. I also had followed them on Facebook and noticed an on-going list of "poor customer etiquette" written by the OWNER criticizing customer's behavior! I wonder why people start a business like this if they don't have a passion for it and don't enjoy working with the public. Sad and by the reviews here, I don't expect that they will stay open for very long.

This place has been a life saver for me and my two kids. I have had the hardest time finding things that our family can eat safely and actually enjoy. It's so nice to be able to go out and get something to snack on, or enjoy lunch. And the new location is super cute! I've noticed a lot of negativity about the staff, but not sure what the deal with that is. They have always been super helpful to us, taking time to explain their baking schedules and making sure my thousands of questions are answered and understood. Although I kno that settling into a new place can be difficult, making sure everything goes just so,I and having to put up with peoples lack of patience with this, I appreciate everything the owner is trying to accomplish. I will continue to support Tabor Mountain and recommend them to all that I come across with the same dietary restrictions as me. Forget the bad reviews and go in and check it out before you form an opinion! I wasn't disappointed and you probably won't be either.

To our many customers and those who have just recently found us at

our new location:

We would like to thank all of your for your support and your

interest in Tabor Mountain Bakehouse. As most of you are aware, we have recently

relocated and we are still undergoing the process of getting settled. We are

also working hard to make some very important changes in order to accommodate

the needs of our customers. We apologize to any and all of you who have been

inconvenienced or misunderstood by our staff and our lack of products on the

shelves.

Quite honestly, we were not fully prepared for the overwhelming

response of our patrons to our new location and products. Therefore, you will

all be happy to know that Tabor Mountain Bakehouse is making it a priority to

make the necessary changes to our customer service and to our product supply in

order to better serve our gluten free community.

Please keep in mind that we are still in transition and appreciate

your patience and understanding while we try to meet your gluten free needs. We

are expanding our product line in order to meet the needs of those who require

additional foods in their diet while still remaining gluten free. We are not a

restaurant or deli. We are a dedicated gluten free bakery, with limited staff,

that offers "extra" products like soups and sandwiches to-go, as a benefit to

our gluten free customers.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support

and your patience. We would also like to thank those who have given us feedback,

whether negative or positive, as it has helped us to see where we can make some

necessary changes in order to serve your gluten free needs

better.

I LOVE THIS BAKERY! The staff go out of their way to show us everything they offer including all of the ingredients or substitution possibilities based on our allergies. AND they offer the ability to Special Order, so we get everything we want, every time we go! The previous person Marcia complained that she didn't want to pay for gas to see what they had. That means THEY are a bad bakery? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I'm sorry, but I didn't know their bakery revolved around you. Get up and come in or place a special order. And shame on you, Frank whoever. They are a small, local business not Super Walmart. Haven't they been in this location for like 3 weeks? Give them a second. I am so embarrased to be part of this self entitled gluten free community, no wonder restaurants and shops roll their eyes when people with food allergies come in. Stop thinking of yourself for one single minute and realize that this bakery is THE ONLY ONE of its kind in the area...in the state! Who else offers this many multiple food allergy options AND allows you to Special Order? Isn't the place run by one woman who is also a mom? She is a saint taking care of all of us who come in not feeling good and complaining all the time.

I was so excited to find a gluten/dairy free bakery, but my enthusiasm was short lived. I've gone a number of times, and they were always out of bread or something else. One time, they only had 2 or 3 items left. I'm especially disappointed because the items I did purchase have been absolutely delicious! I've been attempting to contact them just today to find out if they have any bread, but no one answers the phone. I didn't want to spend the gas mileage only to arrive and discover they were out of something. And, like a couple of previous customers have stated, the staff is not always polite...almost as if WE'RE he problem, rather than they. For the tastiness of the items they DO have, I would give them 5 stars, but the attitude of the staff, plus the lack of items, plus their not answering the phone causes me to give them only 2 stars. Sorry!

I also have a similar experience as a past customer, I also came to the store a little after 8 and the shelves were empty. I asked why and they replied with a snotty answer as if ME the CUSTOMER was being so inconvenient because I was expecting to find shelves with food on them at a BAKERY!!! This place has become sooooo unprofessional recently, I have been coming to this bakery since it opened last year and the employees always seem to be different and they are always running short of product. To me this seems like a management or ownership problem. They say they carry bread too, really? When? Every time I go there it's gone or sorry not today sir, what the heck kind of business is this. It's a lazy, dirty establishment which does not care about its customers period. Thanks for your time to read this. I 100% do not recommend this sad excuse for a bakehouse to anyone.

We have multiple food allergies in our household and have never been able to freely eat out because we have too many dietary concerns. We are so grateful to have found Tabor Mountain. Our kids can be "normal" kids and ask for anything on the menu without being scared of tummy aches. We also love that everything is organic and free of chemicals and dyes. Stopping in on a Saturday for fair trade coffee and a cinnamon roll? We cannot believe it's actually possible for us to do! The entire staff is gluten free along with other food allergies, so they get it. They live it. They have suffered like the rest of us and have the same fears about eating out. The owner is also a registered nurse, and is a wealth of knowledge regarding resources and referrals. We absolutely recommend Tabor Mtn to everyone we know that is living with the same issues as us.

On one final note: As far as the previous negative comments regarding rude customer service or minimal menu availablity, I think we are all better off with these people going elsewhere. I would not want my children to witness such entitled behavior while we are enjoying our treats. I think "skibunny" has a lot more issues than just not enough donuts.

Horrible, mean (yes, mean) customer service. Stopped in at 10:04 am on a Saturday morning...was rudely told they had 3 donuts left because "they made them yesterday and ran out." Day old offerings? For a bakery?

This is my 2nd visit to this free-spirited, "sometimes-we're-open, sometimes-we're not...you got a problem with that?" fakery. Willy-nilly hours (Call ahead!!) and usually 5 or 6 total items (as in 3 lemon bars, 2 brownies, that's it!). But the worst is the owner - doesn't really want her business to succeed (or so it appears) and hires people who rant about their customers on facebook. Then,SHE chimes in! Classless. And tasteless...though you may never get to verify that b/c they never have any food in stock. Epic fail. Sadly.

This place is ridiculous. It says open at 8 am so I go at 830... I see nothing on the shelves so I say "where is the bread" and get "oh we just opened we have to bake everything" what kind of shop opens with no product! Why not just open at 10 and have fresh bread?? The staff seems very uninformed about their own products and everything is very expensive. Tasty though.

So grateful to have found a bakery that is gluten, dairy, soy, and egg free. Having two of my boys who can not tolerate those items in their diet it makes our life so much more "normal". It's been a life saver to be able to buy breads and all kinds of sweet treats that everyone in our family enjoys eating. The staff is always so helpful and takes the time to explain what is in their products.

Kristi and her team of super awesome bakers are second to none. Every time I go in to her bakery there is something wonderful and creative for me to enjoy. From soups to sandwiches, pastries and doughnuts; everything is gluten, dairy, nut, egg, and soy free! They are SO great, they even have a paleo day (Thursday) dedicated to us weirdos who love bacon! The French press coffee is delectable paired with the gooey almond roll, and they have a variety of teas as well. I've had the pleasure of plenty of Saturday morning treats as well as sitting down to lunch, and there has NEVER been a visit where I haven't chatted it up with Kristi, Sarah, or any other of her lovely bakers about one thing or another Highly recommend; DELICIOUS!

Before Tabor Mountain Restaurant, the only 'breaded' food my son had was frozen waffles. We visit Tabor Mountain Bakehouse regularly, and my son loves the baking there, particularly the sweet rolls, donuts, cakes, moonpies and bread rolls.

I think the reviewer 'Jeff' might be a troll - Christy is always extremely pleasant and helpful, and what he describes is very unlikely, unless HE was having a bad day.

If you are after a particular item, it's good to call ahead. Tabor Mountain Bakehouse is wonderful, and if you are gluten free, it's a great resource. They are also egg and dairy free.

I'm trying to write a general review, but all I can think of is how wonderful Tabor Mountain's blueberry "cheesecake" is. They make it from soaked cashews. It doesn't have any cheese, but it tastes creamy and wonderful. Sometimes I dream about it.

Tabor Mountain makes soups, salads, sandwiches and inspired (oh so inspired) desserts. They have many grain-free (not just gluten-free, but completely without grains) dishes, making it a very happy place to go if you're on the Paleo diet.

Come in for lunch or for coffee & dessert! You won't be sorry!
