Excellent food with a good GF menu. Chips are GF too! Service was a bit slow but we went at peak time on Friday night.

November 17, 2012Slow service. The food was not what I expected. The enchilada sauce was not palatable at all. The food was getting cold as we waited for silverware. The margaritas are good.

Love this place! The chips are cooked in a gluten-free fryer--they fry other things in the oil, but gluten-ful stuff is cooked in a separate fryer. It's like the only place in Dallas where we can eat chips! I've eaten here three times and never been sick; neither have my mom and sister, also Celiacs. Their GF menu is 2 whole pages!!!

Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. The tortilla chips they bring out are cooked in their own fryer, without any other foods and the salsa is gluten free, too. The menu had a pretty good variety of things to choose from.

The Iron Cactus does have a gluten free menu but it only included foods that are normally gluten-free,so unless you just started eating gluten free, it is useless. The food was mediocre at best. My fish tacos were not great, and my husband's meatloaf was even worse. They charged $10. for valet parking, and we sat on a patio that smelled like garbage. Clearly, we won't be going back.
