Firstly, let me say no reaction from my meal, so good news there. Not so great news, the service was less than favorable and our food was, sadly, less than tasty. We each ate less than 50% of our meals The patio dining does offer a great view. We went here because it came up as an option and it was directly across the street from where we were standing at the time. Lesson learned : read reviews before patronizing

Unfortunately not impressed!! Had high hopes when we sat down and waters and chips and salsa were RUSHED to our table. We were excited that the chips were celiac safe and our seats allowed for a great view of the outdoor scenery. Our waitress was extremely nice but seemed unsure about gluten free options (was told she didn’t believe enchiladas were able to be made gluten free, which was surprising based on a previous review). I opted for the shrimp tacos and my mother for the ground beef tacos. Food seemed to take a while and when it arrived our food was both entirely cold which made the food very disappointing. Hopefully this was just a fluke, but wouldn’t opt to go back.

Excellent! They have GF chips and tacos! Some enchiladas can be GF too. Dedicated fryer.

I didn’t ask for a GF menu because I only intended to order chips and guacamole. It was served in a crispy flour tortilla shell (like a mini taco salad). I am not Celiac so felt okay scooping from the middle but there was a lot of wasted guacamole. Reminder to self to always request GF even if the menu description seems safe.

Great food and friendly staff. My daughter was able to modify her order to be GF, but they also had a lot of options. NOT easily handicapped accessible!!

GF notated on menu, but they were able to provide an option GF that wasn’t marked on the menu. The Margarita was wonderful. And you can’t beat the view!

They have a great gluten free menu. The staff is very knowledgeable and they understand cross contamination concerns. The prices were reasonable, and our meals were great. It is a very casual and authentic Mexican restaurant.

Ate here twice, didn't get sick. Got the verde pork. SUPER tasty. Servers verified the chips and salsa brought to the table before ordering were safe (also tasty). Not a whole lot of GF options, surprising for a Mexican restaurant. But quality and taste are good.

I do not recommend this place for Celiacs. Food was just ok. We got chips and guac (without the wheat tortilla bowl) and the grilled cactus, both were marked gluten free by a registered dietitian. I asked our server the usual cross-contam question about the chips (we're these fried in a dedicated fryer) and he just kept saying "They are gluten free". After a few exchanges, I said, that's not what I'm asking you, will you please answer my question. My travel companion heard him say yes. I should have gone with gut and not eaten the food. Now, I'm sick on vacation. It's clearly a cross-contamination level of glutening.

Good food. Knowledgeable waiters. Small but varied selection of gf food. I had shrimp tacos and they were good— lots of shrimp.

My kid was excited to read that they chips are safe, because we had recently eaten at a Mexican place where they were not. We ordered the nachos and fish tacos. Server was not super friendly, food was good (not amazing), and we felt pretty sure it was safe.

Traveling with a group of 3 gluten free, 1 gf/cf, and one “regular” diner. There were several options on the menu that were gluten free including baked chips instead of fried (cross contamination). Prices a little high-but normal for the touristy area. When ordering dairy free as well, specify NO CHEESE not only on the main dish, but on each side dish. Our dairy free meal came out with cheese sprinkled on the refried beans-we didn’t know to ask to have that cheese held.

This place was safe for celiac, in my experience. The waiter informed us of the shared fryer for the hard shell tacos, but said the chips were safe and so were the corn soft tortillas. Salsa was good and spicy. Chips were nothing special.
The shrimp tacos were pretty unremarkable. 2.5 stars. They professed to be grilled but contained no evidence of the sort. I’d hazard a guess they were boiled. Came with cheese crumbles, shreds of cabbage-like lettuce, an avocado sauce on the side that tasted like tartar sauce, and some rice and beans. I didn’t clean my plate. But they weren’t horrible and the salsa helped make it better.
So 2.5-3 star food experience, but it’s safe for us Celiacs who sometimes have to settle for less, so I gave it 4.

This place is simply amazing! My new all time favorite Sedona restaurant. Food is out of this world. So much flavor. Service was fantastic and they kept the chips coming. Kept the drinks full and I couldn’t be more pleased.

On their menu they ask you to tell your server about allergies or special diets. Chips are fried in their own fryer. Corn shells available.
Was not impressed with the quality. It’s great they are knowledgeable and have options, but it tasted cheap. If you want high quality good medical food go elsewhere! From the $16 tacos I think $10 was for the view.
Prickly pear margarita and lemonade are great! Atmosphere was good. Felt like we were just paying for the view LOL— which was amazing!

Very few options wish we had gone elsewhere
Delicious! Our server knew about celiac and I felt fine afterwards. Had tacos and nacho chips and enjoyed my meal very much.
GF marked on the menu. Delicious chicken tacos, refried beans and rice. Warm tortilla chips to start. Waiter was very knowledgeable.
Chips ARE gluten free and fried separately. So good. Had guac and pork asada and shrimp tacos. No reactions. Awesome service and atmosphere. Knowledgeable about celiacs.
Yes
Many GF options and they can make some of their other dishes GF. Just tell your server. Ours was knowledgeable and very helpful. Food was delicious!
The staff were very knowledgeable! The chips are fried in their own fryer and you can only get the corn tortillas as a soft taco. Our waitress informed me that there is the potential for cross contamination with the hard taco shells.
I got the chicken tacos (soft of course) and they were so big I couldn’t finish! Delicious and very clean tasting.

Went here in April 2019. Was informed all the chips were made in a GF fryer and thoroughly enjoyed them. Kitchen easily made accommodations for my gluten contamination elimination diet! We went here twice!
Yes
wrong address. found it, sat down and asked a couple questions, then promptly left. very few gf choices, all had cheese on top. cant eat the chips.
No
Waiter corrected my order of cactus, and had it prepared without sauce because it had gluten. I felt he was watching out for me.
Yes
Jose was an exceptionally kind waiter and helpful with my multiple restrictions. I tried the cactus appetizer (tasty), but I would ask about the seasoning blend the use, evidenced by dustings of it on my plate. The trout there was described on the menu as coated with blue corn flour, but wasn't, and it tasted smoked besides. Not sure why. GF hubby enjoyed the Oaxaca tacos. Black beans are served to GF customers, not refries.
Yes
Delicious celiac safe restaurant!! Had the soft tacos... the chips and salsa were also, safe and delicious!! I am a very sensitive Celiac and did not have any negative reactions. :)
Yes
Went here with a group of people. Everything that is gluten free is labeled on the menu. They have baked chips as a GF option, however I was told the house ones were okay since they were made in a separate fryer. Honestly they looked like they came out of a bag. Both my son and I are celiac and ate them with no reactions. We got the pork chili verde with rice and beans and it was delicious! Server was knowledgeable about cross contamination. Friends got guacamole and it comes in a fried flour tortilla, so if you order that mention you need it in a bowl instead. They weren’t impressed with the guacamole either.
Yes
For texmex probably a 3 but food is not very good. Guacamole is not even prepared with lemon. Server did not know guacamole came with wheat tortilla. I irder tamales and agter half an hour wait, he tild me they ran out if them. They look like good people but fiod is not very good. Other reviews seem to be from owners
Baked instead of fried tortilla chips. Delicious meals. Good knowledge by server of GF options. Very good meal.

Our waiter was new and had no idea. Being the parent to 3 celiac kids for the past 2 years we knew what to ask. So far so good, kids loved the food and the view is amazing but definitely do not be afraid to ask questions and ask to speak to the chef if the waiter doesn't seem knowledgeable.
Such a relief to be able to eat tortilla chips fried in a dedicated fryer. Great food, wonderful service and the best views in the state. Many gf options. Highly recommend!

Make sure to ASK them to make items GF! We had the guacamole that was listed as GF but it came in a flour tortilla bowl. Oops!
Dedicated fryer for chips and great gluten free Options marked on the menu. Staff is knowledgable and the owner is gluten free.
good choices on the menu. staff is very understanding. our waiter said the owner was gluten free so they are careful about cross contamination.
Yes
They bake the chips for gluten free customers so they are able to enjoy the house made chips also. Food and drinks were really great, staff was knowledgable! Portions were large too.
This was our third time here, and the food has really gone down hill. The chips and salsa were not bad. The salsa was nothing special. The chips are gluten free. I ordered the shrimp tacos on corn tortillas. They were salty and really had no flavor. I don't think we will be visiting the restaurant again. The over priced food was not worth it. Go else where for good gluten free food!
Yes
The owner is a dietitian and the menu clearly marks gf options. They have a dedicated fryer, so unlike too many Mexican restaurants these days, YOU CAN EAT THE CHIPS! The staff was really well Informed-- even letting us know the food would take a few minutes longer because they needed to clean the grill!
Yes
Tortilla chips fried separate so they're safe! The staff is clued in and the menu is labeled clearly for what is safe. The food is solid Sonoran and Tex Mex fare. Restaurant has been in town forever.
Yes
They have GF items included on their menu. They even offer baked tortilla chips. The food was good.
