I had a great time ordering my food. I asked my burger to be in a lettuce wrap since I did not want to pay extra for a gluten free bun. The meat was so tender and the strawberry milkshake was so good! I had no issues afterwards. The guy at the counter didn’t know a lot of English but understood how I wanted my order made and even reminded me to took off the onion! They don’t necessarily have a gluten free menu but you can just substitute the buns. I’m unsure if any of the sauces are gluten free though so I would definitely ask about that, or just remove the sauce just to be safe.

I ordered DoorDash and I ordered the burger wrapped in lettuce but instead I got a regular bun. This is the first time this has happened and I am very annoyed. Btw I don’t have celiac I have a gluten intolerance. But I was still very annoyed especially since I paid a good price for it

Newly diagnosed with celiac disease (3-4 months). I was in Abilene for a quick day trip and looking for a place to eat. Usually Five Guys is my go-to if I don’t have a packed lunch. Abilene doesn’t have one. I saw online that they had a gluten free bun on the menu. Prior to going I called and asked to speak with a manager to ask about gluten free options. She was very knowledgeable and had all of the answers. She informed me that their beef and buns were cooked on separate grills. She also said they wrap the gluten free buns in foil before warming them on the grill, so that are not cross contaminated. She also informed me that they do not have a separate fryer so that their fried WOULD have cross contamination with the other items that they deep fry, so I should not order them.
Overall the beef was good and the gluten free bun was not bad! Much better than some I have tried.
I would recommend this place as long as you let them know about your condition.

Had just a bacon cheeseburger with no bun because I didn’t want to pay extra for a GF roll. The thin bad tasting burger was covered in rock hard overdone bacon. I was upset that I didn’t just go to Jersey Mike’s across the parking lot. It definitely wasn’t worth the inflated pricing.

Best burger I’ve had in a long time. The bun was delicious and didn’t fall apart. The staff was very good. Two hamburgers, two drinks, and one fry cost $35.00 which included $2.80 for the bun. I did not feel sick at all.

I ordered fries and a gluten-free burger. The restaurant assured me they had a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items. However, when my food arrived, they placed my fries on the same tray as someone else's order, which included a regular bun with gluten.
I noticed the mistake right away because of the bun and questioned it. Despite this, they simply moved the fries to my tray, even though they had come into contact with the gluten bun. I explained the risk of cross-contamination and that I couldn't eat the fries.
Unfortunately, I still got sick from the burger, which suggests a disregard for proper food safety protocols. In the end, I paid for fries I couldn't eat and got sick from the meal anyway.

Me (gluten and dairy free) and my mom’s (gluten free) favorite burger place is this one. Their gluten free buns are like no other gluten free buns we’ve tried. The fries they do are only well done so take that into consideration if you don’t like that type of fry(s). They have many gluten free options but is a not gluten free restaurant at heart so people with celiac be careful. They use the same grills for burgers and buns (the fries are gluten free).

Delicious burgers and sweet potato fries. The “ice burgers” on lettuce were great and the GF buns were delicious. They ask if it’s an allergy or preference. They have a full GF menu available online. There are GF shakes too. Service was great especially since it’s a fast food joint. They came to our table to see if we needed anything and helped clear the trays when we were finished. Highly recommend this place!

They only thing in this place that is gluten free is the bun. The burgers have gluten in them . So they have NO menu for gluten free.

The guy on the order station didn't know they had an allergen sheet. He did offer to check with the manager who confirmed they didn't have any information about allergens available. Silly me, going ahead and ordering a turkey burger on a gluten free bun. It didn't taste great, i spent the rest of the night with an unhappy gut and scolded myself that just going to the grocery store when traveling is really easy and safe. Go to the Publix next door and save yourself the pain.

Girl taking my order was very knowledgeable about what was gluten free and went above and beyond to help substitute what was not. Also offered to cook mushrooms on tinfoil on the grill so they would not come into contact with gluten. They also had a dedicated fryer for the french fries. Food was good and I didn't get sick at all.

I love that I can get burger AND fries here! So many options. Only once were they out of gluten free buns, and they gave me a lettuce wrap instead so all worked out. I can’t speak to cross contamination (non-celiac) but this is one of my go-to burger places!

So they do have gluten free buns but DO NOT have a dedicated fryer for fries. When I asked I was told they “try to keep only fries in the first fryer but other things do get in there” so not safe for celiac. Otherwise the burger was great!

Although the burger and bun are listed as gluten free, the fries are NOT. We have eaten here twice and were told both times that the fries were cooked separately and were in fact gluten free. Tonight, another employee informed us that is not the case and has never been the case since they opened.

Edited for update 08/2023:
MOOYAH was a family favorite for years until we moved away in 2020. We returned to Knoxville this summer and have ordered delivery from this location a couple of times. Using their app is easy but I was unhappy to see I had to call the store to alert them of any allergies. I was pleased with both instances of how friendly the employees are and assured me that “they would take care of us, no problem”. Happy to have this as an option again. Only complaint is that some point while we were gone, they went to Udi’s buns. It definitely diminishes the experience.
Wanted to try something new for my daughter's birthday because she wanted burgers. Both she and my son had their selection on a GF bun, and I had a lettuce wrap. Burgers were really good. Hand cut fries were good but not hot. Staff was very attentive both during our order and also came to the table to check on us. I didn't give five stars due to the fries and the wrap was not as substantial as it needed to be for a double cheeseburger. But I'll be back for sure! I've been hoping for a replacement to Red Robin's inconsistent service and quality.

The food looked delicious and they have several gluten free options. Sadly, my burger was served to me on a moldy g.f. bun. Mold was visible in three spots. They offered to put it on a new bun, but we’re good to refund my money when requested.

CAUTION I can’t comment about the quality of food because I chose not to stay (I really wanted fries). Per the manager they do have a separate fryer for the fries. HOWEVER, they funnel and strain all the fryer oils into one central vat and then reuse the oil. Cross contamination is a certainty.

Update to the review below: they have unfortunately changed their gf bun and I need to warn folks not to order that unless you want a super dry crumbly bun that falls completely apart as soon as you pick it up. I didn’t even get one bite into my burger. Had to go get a fork and knife to finish eating it. Even worse they charge an extra $2.50 for this crumbly mess. My husband said it looked “like a disaster.” The burger itself is still great and they do offer a Paleo burger wrapped in lettuce that I will try next time.
Super friendly prompt service. Amazing GF fries made in designated fryer. Delicious made to order burger.

The burgers are pretty good but the fries are my favorite. My partner is symptomatic gluten free so it is really nice to have gluten free options including a dedicated fryer for fries (though I’m not entirely certain it is or that they understood what I was asking) and either gluten free buns or lettuce wraps. This particular location could be a little cleanlier but overall good. Service is quick.

I should have known by the cashier's lack of knowledge on gluten free food that I was in trouble. We have visited a few times in the past with no issues. Servers were knowledgeable and took care to make sure there was no cross contamination. Well even though he went and told them about our food allergy, I managed to get some kind of cross contamination. I was sick for a day and on day three now, I'm still recovering. I've learned my lesson and won't be back. I did complain to corporate online.

The bun was an ice cold Udi’s bun that fell apart before I was half done. There wasn’t enough meat in the patty. The fries were contaminated— cooked with breaded chicken. The place was unkept inside as well as the outside seating. I would not recommend eating here.

Stopped by at Mooyah's for a burger and was pleasantly surprised with their gluten free options! Several great and fresh ingredients to top your burger; all garden options like lettuce, tomato, onions, mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapenos and sauces like: BBQ, relish, spicy ranch and a special Mooyah sauce which has a slight tangy flavor. They serve Udi's brand gluten free buns and lettuce wraps if you're after low-carb options. While they don't have a dedicated fryer, they do offer hand cut fries and gluten free sweet potato fries. The shareable portion was plenty for two people. We tried the sweet potato fries and I did get a reaction, so avoid the fries if you have Celiac's. They are a little bland, and had a soft crispiness with a rice flour coating. Protein options include Turkey, Beef, and vegetarian like Dr. Praeger's brand bean burger. Burgers are truly fit for your lifestyle without sacrificing in flavor. Very clean location and worth the stop. Cute dine in place has several seating options if dining alone or with family and large groups.
