I was in a large group of people and the server was very attentive to my special requests. He was unsure of the gluten free items, but went and brought the chef out to speak with me. Apparently their GF options are made with corn pasta, which was a fun surprise. I had never had anything like it and it was very tasty.

I'm corn free as well as gluten free, so my options are even more limited. The chef comes out and talks through the menu with you. (The first chef was amazing, the second time, the chef spoke little English but understood my issues and his ingredients, so it was fine). All of their sauces are GF, so you do have lots of options. If you can eat the corn pasta, you pay the same price as normal eaters for the classic pasta dishes and get to take one home as well. This is the only restaurant I've been to in a long time that I have had no adverse effects after eating. They understand our needs and do a great job of accommodating!

I must visit Las Vegas about every 6 months for work and Maggiano's has become a staple for me. They offer GF pasta (a small spiral-cut pasta) that they will substitute for most pasta dishes (no meatballs/breaded stuff obviously). They do NOT have a GF menu but they always appear knowledgable. The food is GREAT and I would highly recommend it. MAKE A RESERVATION before you go. The service is always better in a booth over sitting at the bar. In the same plaza (Fashion Show) are 3 places that offer GF. El Segundo Sol (good Mexican food with a dedicated GF Menu) and Stripburger (burger joint with GF buns).

Very understanding about gluten allergies. If you tell your waiter you can't have gluten, the chef will come out and talk to you personally about your allergy, and discuss your options on the menu with you. I had the gf penne, which is corn based. It was very good, when it had absorbed enough sauce, otherwise it can be crunchy. They even do the dinner today, dinner tomorrow deal with gf pasta, so you can take some leftovers too.

Used to go here often until for a time they no longer offered GF pasta. Last I went they had corn pasta and chefs would often communicate with me directly which I appreciated but we still got sick - their managers called me with apologies and showered me with gift cards but I can't take the risk on my family's health until they get their standards in line. Good place though with great intentions - I've no doubt they will up their game in the future. Someone tell me when and ill come back.

Chicken was ok..i can do better at home.. nothing to make me want to go back there. There are so many wonderful restuarants to choose from that i choose not to go back to one that was bad.

Went to Maggiano's, informed the hostess of our daughter's needs, she indicated it would be no problem. Our server, Krista was fantastic and immediately ask who was GF. Spoke directly to my daughter and ask if she would like the chef to come out to speak to her. He did and was extremely pleasant. He addressed my daughter's questions. Food was incredible, ambiance fantastic, service was phenomenal. I would highly recommend.

I have had only excellent experiences here. Always get to speak directly to the chef about my needs. Food is delicious and and I love that they have GF pasta (corn, last I checked). While I've really enjoyed everything I've had here, I would really like to see them expand their options. They only have one type of GF noodle so you can't really have things like spaghetti, angel hair, or varying types of noodles. It's always the same type of pasta, no matter what type the original dish would usually have had. Also not sure why they chose corn pasta since most GF people I know tend to prefer brown rice pasta. Oh well. All-in-all, I don't shy away from going here -- it's just not at the very top of my list since other places around have more options.

I always enjoy eating at Maggiano's. The gluten free pasta is always cooked perfectly. Only a few choices are offered, but I never seem to mind. Marinara sauce and Alfredo sauce with either shrimp or chicken, or meat sauce, which I believe isn't on the menu, but I've asked a few times and it is fine for celiac consumption. The wait staff, always helpful, and a chef will often come out for any questions and to ensure your meal will be prepared GF in a safe manor.

Today I found a hidden gem of the gluten free foodie world. My best friend and blogger – Sara Wyen of Words To Run By went with me to the Celiac Awareness Tour in Cincinnati, Ohio today. We were excited to see all the fun, new gluten free goodies with all the vendors. Another blog post coming soon on that… While we were there, Maggiano’s Little Italy chef Karl Lenz was there speaking and doing a gluten free demo. Well, I knew exactly where the Maggiano’s Kenwood was located and we zipped on over there for lunch. I am so glad we did. Upon entering the restaurant, I asked for the gluten free menu. They explained rather than having a gluten free menu, the Assistant Manager would come out and explain the gluten free options and ensure my meal was allergy safe. Matthew Powell, the Assistant General Manager came over to the table after our waiter quickly brought us drinks and very thoroughly explained how 90% of their menu items can be made into gluten free dishes. He walked me through the menu and made sure I was clear on food preparation, ingredients and options for celiac disease. This was the most gluten friendly and celiac aware place I’ve been to yet. 90% of their menu items could be made gluten free – surely it wasn’t so. This place isn’t on any of the safe lists or gluten free places to eat. Oh boy, did they knock my socks off. I decided to try their corn pasta. It. Was. Amazing. Gluten Free Corn Pasta Maggiano’s Sara and I ended up sharing a meal because it was really big. You know what the best part was? They have several menu items that you can get a to go item FREE if you order from the list. Yup – I got 2 meals for the price of one. 1 being a gluten free specialty menu item – without paying extra. Our entire lunch with the meal, Cesar salad for Sara and 2 iced teas was $24. Can you tell we didn’t like it? Just kidding. Matthew even came out after the meal and ensured everything was ok and up to my gluten free liking! Of course I explained. The chef that was doing the demo at the Celiac Awareness Tour, Karl Lenz – was back before we finished lunch and he even came out to welcome us and explain their cooking methods and showed me their pastas! Maggiano’s Corn Pasta I felt completely safe eating here, had no stomach ailments after my meal and will certainly make this a go to spot when we are in Cincinnati. The manager, chef and waiter all made me feel comfortable and took care of me the way a restaurant should with people suffering from food allergies. We already have a big enough burden of having this food allergy, we shouldn’t have to feel like one while eating out.

Wonderful experience! The only pasta they have is penne, so if you aren't a fan of penne, don't get too excited. However, they have some other really great options! We ordered the GF garlic rolls and I had the veal parm. It was actually breaded with GF bread crumbs! Overall we were very pleased. The staff was knowledgable and helpful. We love to go to restaurants that know what they are doing!

The chef came out and made suggestions.I was dissapointed I couldn't have lasagna which was what I was hungry for. He did make me a dis he said would. be just like having lasagna which was good...but not like having lasagna. They said they had no gluten free bread or buns. We were celebrating our anniversary and they did give a small complimentary creme brulee for me and another dessert for the other couple and my husband to share. Reasonably priced and the rest of the party very satisfied.Again..mine was good but again sitting empty plated while the others had the bread basket and lasagna left me feeling again deprived.

The Scottsdale Maggiano's has by far the best GF menu of any Maggiano's I have Been to. They have GF bread that is delicious -- better than the regular bread! It takes a little while to get the bread as they bake it as it is requested. The staff is very knowledgable and accommodating. Best gluten free meal I've ever had!!! Our server, JC, and the Sous Chef, Chon Guy, gave us five star service!!! Many gluten free options in each course! They served multiple kinds of GF pasta and sauces, and their house dressing was delicious! Large portions we couldn't finish in one sitting so JC packed them up for us to go completely separated with the GF meals labeled! Very knowledgable staff! I wish we had a Maggiano's in Alaska!
