My boyfriend and I like to eat here for special occasions. It’s an upscale restaurant inside the Beauport Hotel. When we made the reservation, we asked if they could accommodate a diner with celiac. They said, although they do not have a separate GF menu, many of the items can be made gluten free. They put a note on our reservation and told us to make sure we tell our waitstaff. Upon being seated, I informed the server. She said they take celiac very seriously, made a note and offered to help me decide on an option that could be adapted to be gluten free. The sauces are mostly all made with flour so I was not able to add a the demi glacé to my filet, but the meal was excellent without it. My boyfriend ordered the 1/2 chicken. They were able to make his sauce gluten free and although he does not have celiac, they made his meal gluten free so we didn’t have to worry about cross contamination and we could share. They also have gluten free rolls. They do not typically have gluten free desserts other than sorbet but last night they had creme brûlée on the pre fixe menu, and even though I didn’t order the pre fixe (it was not all gluten free) they did allow me to order just the creme brûlée. They even wrote up a little menu with what dessert cocktails I could order and how they would adapt to meet my needs. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was very knowledgeable and very accommodating and I felt great after eating. I highly recommend for all your special occasions!
