Honestly, this wasn't very good pizza but a solid plus about it is that it was totally safe for celiacs as far as I could tell. It was a Rudies pizza that came in it's own package.
Very gluten friendly and it is easy to order gluten free on the phone and online. I would give 5 stars since the food was delicious but it took them over an hour to deliver the food to us which was annoying and devastating, especially since we only live a few minutes away. I would recommend smoky mountain rather then pizza hut.
Asked for toppings to the edge and it had almost 1.5 inches of crust on a gluten free baby pizza. Was not crispy as requested. I understand it's gluten free, but it doesn't have to taste bad and it can be made with a little more care. I paid $19 after delivery and tipped for that.
Credit to Pizza Hut for carrying Udi's GF pizza. We don't normally eat fast food, but when you have an 8 year old who's GF, pizza is a lifestyle issue and thank goodness for this smart move. I'd fall over in a dead faint if the promised no cross contamination. I'm sure they use the same ovens.
The process looked good- until the pizza cutting lady placed the flattened box on top of a huge pile of gluten crumbs. Then she continued to spin the box as she cut the pizza scattering crumbs. As I explained the issue to the manager the cutting lady placed the gf cutter down on to the crumbs to listen. Despite my words the pizza was cut with the contaminated cutter. The workers were polite and listened yet not sure a real change will occur. Eat at your own risk! We won't be.
Wanted pizza on a Sunday and the several pizza places with GF options were closed (not understanding this...must be a Florida thing). Pizza Hut advertised GF so we went. Very pleased with the GF pizza and they were careful on cross-contamination. My celiac daughter had NO symptoms afterward (a rarity with pizza places). Very pleased with the experience.
I have gone and called in pizza orders and the always say they don't do gluten free pizza orders.
Although I was diagnosed with celiac two plus years ago and have had a lot of GF pizza since then, this was my first time having Pizza Hut's GF pizza. I didn't get sick but the flavor ,even down to the sauce, was bland. I wouldn't order it again when I know I can get flavorful GF pizza elsewhere.
Order gluten free pizza that according to the website was to have followed the GIG procedure. NIMA test for gluten came back positive for gluten found even though all ingredients are supposed to be gluten free with a certified gluten free UTI's crust.
We ordered the gluten free pizza for my son who has Celiac disease. We ordered it with just the sauce & cheese. When it arrived it looked unappetizing because the cheese was burnt on top (the crust wasn't burnt) . Before letting him eat it, we tested a sample with our Nima tester & it came back positive for gluten. It would be fine if you are just trying to avoid gluten and you don't have a true allergy. But my son couldn't safely eat it. We ordered it delivery, so I can't say what's happening at the store.
*** Please write honest reviews so others have up to date information on choices*** the gluten free pizza is cheese and pepperoni only, any other toppings are grabbed by gloved hands that have been touching flour. It is mediocre at best and it's a sloppy mess. The only good thing about it was I got to taste pizza hit pizza sauce again. I missed it. But I will continue to go to P.Murphy's or Minsky's for pizza currently.
