I wish I had taken photos. Probably the best meal I've had in a long time overall! Great service from the team. Other reviewers and sites have mentioned many times that the Huse Culinary family takes food safety seriously. When sharing CD the server explained what my options were and how the food would be prepared (eg no croutons on salad, steak in pan and oven instead of grill, etc). The manager is typically involved in oversight and delivering the food. On this visit she gave me the same info the server did. Both reassured me I was not being a burden (which is one of my others fears generally and now that I'm new to CD, kind have to lay it out there lol). I got the Caesar salad no croutons, filet with a loaded baked potato, asparagus, navy bean soup, white wine. I just went for it! It was delicious and a wonderful experience and I did not experience symptoms later. The story I have heard a few times at HC establishments now is someone high up has a relativewith food safety needs and at some restaurant they were assured safety measures but they were not followed and that relative got very ill. So they all now take this very seriously. Great experience, highly recommend.

The server informed me they now have a gluten free menu. There were quite a few options to choose from. I had the Executive dish for lunch with filet sliders and gf bun. Food was delicious and I had no reactions.

I base stars on GF selections. Four stars because of lack of GF bread. Beautiful restaurant. I was frustrated at first because there is no GF menu and the regular menu is not marked. Our server’s attitude and knowledge made up for the lack of allergen visibility. Most of the menu can be altered to be gf. I’m sure the sliders were delicious, but it just isn’t a burger without a bun. Our server pushed the steak salad since it was lunch. Salads are about all I can eat when out, so yay another salad. But I HATE being the allergy person going out and ordered the steak salad (medium). Holy moly, the steak melted in my mouth. The dressing was citrus with horseradish that gave the blue cheese and meat a nice bite back but not runny-nose level spicy. I finished the meal with a delightful cup of French press coffee. I apologize that I forgot to take pictures. If you are okay with going bunless, there are several options that make this restaurant a solid gf choice.

When I told the waiter I was Celiac, he went through the menu with me. Almost anything can be made gluten free and he was very knowledgeable about cross contamination. The manager came over later to review my order with me. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! We had artichokes, shrimp cocktail, ribs eye, and Caesar salad. Yum!
