By far the best foodie experience I’ve had in a while - and the fact that it was stumbled upon made it that much better.
Was watching TikTok and came across @JDHovland who visits different MN restaurants and rates the place and the menu items. The mans saw the fried chicken sandwich and we had to go check it out. Sit down and realize there are GF markers on the menu - woah!, chef (I believe her name is Marisol) came to our table to walk me through the menu, we ordered and I didn’t get sick!!! Which is huge when dining out with celiac disease. But best of all? The food was absolutely positively incredible. Like… more than incredible.
Here’s what I got: Brussels Sprouts - these are typically fried but the fryer is not celiac safe (cross contamination with the cheese curds), therefore, the chef pan fried them for me!! I thought I had the best Brussels sprout recipe but I was very wrong. Brussels: Hot honey, applewood smoked bacon + Parmesan. House made bison pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss, on a gluten free bun from @clovermeadowbakery (not sure how I never heard about this GF/vegan bakery). INCREDIBLE. I’d never had a Reuben before so I was a bit nervous but I am so glad I tried it.
I also got a side salad with my Reuben but didn’t get a chance to try it since I was so stuffed with everything else 😅
Cheers to randomly coming across super awesome restaurants with awesome drink deals, a fun atmosphere, and DARN good food. 👏🏻
