This isn’t just gluten free food, this is an artisanal, gourmet experience, lead by Chef Derrick Paez, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. This family run establishment, has the most beautiful sweet and savory treats and foods, and will soon have meals to go. Very excited to have a dedicated gluten free option in the Bronx!
3X3 has been created after 20 years of developing gluten-free recipes at home and following slow food. We are a couple of professionals dedicated to the cause of providing delicious well balanced menu, accessible to younger palette as well as more refined experienced gf buyers.
The muse, Monika has been gluten-free ever since moving from Europe in 2000. Monika grew up on a farm. Derrick grew up in a family restaurant and attended CIA. After graduating Derrick was fortunate to join ranks of a few Michelin star restaurants like Daniel Boulud and Spice Market in Meat Packing District.
In 2021 a small table of homemade bread and cakes was the beginning of our passionate journey. Today we supply our Sourdough and baked goods to many families in Westchester, Brooklyn and Manhattan. Since 2023 you can purchase our bread on Fresh Direct and we opened our first retail location in March of 2024.
It’s a pleasure to bake and create with such an important cause.

Delicious! Fun and interesting store with lots of goodies. Best GF sourdough I’ve ever had & I’ve been GF for 16 years. Cinnamon muffins are tasty and have the correct sticky and good crumb. I can’t wait to go back and have more!
Delicious quiche! The person working there was so sweet and knowledgeable. Worth noting I saw one prepackaged item they sold (not made by 3x3) mentioned being processed in a facility that processed gluten. But everything baked by them is from their GF facility. Just be sure to continue reading labels on other goods.
Family owned bakery. Dad is the chef, son is celiac, mom and sister work there too! Very sweet family. They’ve been doing farmers markets, etc. and just got a physical store finally 6 weeks ago. SUCH amazing puff pastry! We got turnovers and a cinnamon roll muffin - so good
It’s so great to have a new (and the first dedicated GF) place in the Bronx! This place is a really lovely bakery, I bought the chickpea loaf and it is delicious. I stopped in right before they were closing, so I can’t wait to go back and check out what else they have to offer and I’m definitely looking forward to when they get their meals up and running. The owner and chef is really nice and walked me through a lot of their processes - for our vegan/dairy free friends, they make all of their vegan things in a separate dedicated kitchen as well. Amazing, will definitely be back!
