Review of 76 West

So I talked with the owner of the facility about their gluten free items as they have gluten free bread and buns. Sadly, she told me “we have these but we don’t honor the gluten free allergy” why have gluten free items if they aren’t gluten free. She told me they use the same knife for all breads, same toaster, and same spatulas, I do not recommend this place. The owner told me she would prepare my salad herself and clean all of the items and counter space she uses, and put a new pair of gloves on. I trusted her when I should have seen the warning signs. I am now incredibly sick from a SALAD that doesn’t even come with croutons. The whole time I talked with the owner she tried to be nice but was clearly pretending she was ignorant to Celiac and gluten free allergies. I will never come to that place again and I highly suggest none of you who read this do either. I love giving places chances, and going over their preparations (I am in college for food science and processing) and know all about how 21 ppm of gluten can get us celiac sick. I hope everyone stays safe and avoids this place.
