Review of 808 Deli

I decided to eat here before our flight home. No matter how many times I go to a restaurant I specify I am celiac and get very ill if I ingest gluten, even if by cc. This time I told them I was flying home soon and needed them to take precautions to please not cross contaminate. Got my sandwich, tested with Nima and it detected gluten. I took it back in and the manager made me a new sandwich herself, this time making sure it was prepared and toasted on tin foil. The second time no gluten was detected, however, it could have been a miserable flight home had I not tested the first time.

Went back again March 2023. The lady at the counter let the Kitchen know I was celiac and to use precaution when preparing my sandwich. I tested It with my Nima and gluten was found again. They refunded my money but I’m not going back. There are much safer places to eat in the area.
